Anniyah was happy today because her husband sent his pictures and video called her. She wore a lovely new light blue and white dress. But when she mentioned in front of her parents her husband had rung, her stepmum said you shouldn't say jana (husband) in front of your parents and that's why you're so happy today. Then Anniyah's stepmum said how her aunty had said to her on the plane not to say jana, because people will laugh at her and her daughters don't talk like that. Anniyah's stepmum also said how because Anniyah's aunty was advicing her that's why she didn't get upset in other words, Anniyah gets easily upset when her stepmum advises her on things. Anniyah just stayed quiet, it just made her think some people can't see her happy and when she's upset they have a problem too. It's not like Anniyah had been married for years like her cousins who knew what to do and what not to do. It was hard being a girl, you're always criticised by others. You haven't done this right, say this don't say this it was annoying. Anniyah thought it's not like life gives you a guidebook on marriage or any other thing in life.
