I sighed as I poked my food as my dad was arguing with my mom. It was a rare thing, dad never argued with mom, he hated arguing with her because he loves her too much. My brothers looked very uncomfortable at the table and so did I. "I am not allowing a boy to go near my daughter!" "Sweetie calm down don-" "SHUT UP DON'T SWEETIE ME, SHE IS MY DAUGHTER I AM NOT ALLOWING IT!" Everyone was silent, no one moved. He just yelled at my mother...no one yells at my mother.

My dad had just realized what he had done and a look of fear swept over his face. "M-Maria...honey I did-" My mom didn't let him finish. She stood up from the table and ran out of the house in tears. We all knew she was spending the night at Cherry's. My dad felt awful so he went to his room. I just sat there with my brothers in silence. The three of us finished dinner and went to get ready for bed. The three of us stood outside my dads door to hear him cry. I quietly opened the door a bit and peeked in with my brothers. My dad sat on the edge of the bed with his hands on his face, we could tell he was crying. The three of us snuck in and hugged him. "I'm sure momma knows you didn't mean too dad" Kiroti said. Hikaru nodded.

That night my brothers and I slept with my dad. My brothers slept on his right side, Kiroti's legs on Hikaru and Hikaru's arm on Kiroti. I slept on my dads left side. "I'm sure mama would want to tell you she loves you right now papa, because I know she loves you and that she forgives you" I knew it was true, she did. I felt my dad hug me and one of his tears landing on me. I know that the tear wasn't a sad one, he was happy he knew mama still loved him. I fell asleep knowing that tomorrow, he was going to fix this.
