Team Seirin were in the middle of a game. It was the first years versus the rest of the team, and Riko was violently scribbling down words and phrases in her notepad.

"Kuroko! Here!" Kagami yelled, and it took Kuroko but a second to get the basketball in his hand as he dunked. The two teenagers bumped their fists together as they continued the game.

DING

Kuroko faintly heard the sound of his phone go off, but ignored it. It was probably his father or mother asking what time he was going to come home. He made another pass.

DING

Riko pursed her lips, she had told the team to always put their phones on silent during practice, otherwise it would distract them.

DING DING DING

Pausing for a moment, Hyuga glanced over at the direction that the noise was coming from. He quirked an eyebrow but still continued, throwing the ball over to Izuki who was scanning the court for the next opening, and then tossed the ball over to Mitobe.

DING DING DING DING DING

'For fucks sake.' Kagami thought; the noise was starting to irritate him, he was almost about to enter the zone but the sound made him stumble and the zone faded.

DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DIN-

"Who's phone is that?!" Riko snapped. The game halted to a stop and all the players exchanged glances in question. Kagami sighed and glanced over to Kuroko, who was standing there silently.

'Do I want to face Riko-san's wrath?' Kuroko thought. When all the players looked at him expectantly, he shrugged. "I do not know why you are all looking at me. It isn't my phone." He said in monotone.

Kagami raised an eyebrow. He knew that the phone was probably Kuroko's, it was most likely that damned Generation of Miracles group chat. But it was the first time that Kuroko had lied so straightforwardly to them. 'Then again, I wouldn't want Riko mad at me either.'

Exhaling, Riko nodded. "Continue the game from where we left off. Red team ball." She blew her whistle and the game resumed.

It was about thirty seconds into the match when the phone started making noise again.

"I'm, too sexy for my shirt,"

Koganei stumbled and widened his eyes.

"-too sexy for my shirt,"

Izuki blinked and looked around him, eyes resting on Hyuga as they stared in confusion at each other.

Kuroko's eye twitched. 'I knew I shouldn't have let Aomine-kun set my ringtone.'

"So sexy it huuuurts~"

Riko stood there. Hearing the sound from behind her stop, she was glad that the ringtone was short. She really didn't want to pay it any attention. "Continue. The. Game."

They did so. Riko was already annoyed beyond comprehension, they wouldn't want to piss her off anymore. Koganei passed to Mitobe, who was intercepted by Kuroko, who slapped the ball over to Tsuchida. In the middle of Tsuchida's three-pointer, another sound resonated throughout the gym.

"I'm a Barbie girl! In a Barbie wo-o-orld~"

Tsuchida missed the shot and he fully blamed it on the image of pink, blonde barbies.

'Oh for kami's sake, Kise-kun...' The bluenette thought in exasperation.

"Life in plastic, it's fantastic!"

Riko had, had enough.

"I don't care who's it is, shut it up now!"

Everyone came to an abrupt stop and Kuroko walked over silently to his bag. The gym was silent, other than the humming of the song that Kise had set for his personalised ringtone.

"That's Kuroko's phone?" Koganei started laughing.

There was something about Kuroko setting Barbie Girl and I'm Too Sexy as his ringtones that was just insanely amusing. Hyuga and Furihata started quietly chuckling as well. Kagami rolled his eyes while Izuki grinned and Mitobe smiled.

Kuroko grabbed his phone and pressed the ACCEPT symbol on the screen. When he had thrown his phone, (after the Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life incident) Akashi had decided that members of the GoM could only have the best. And so, he delivered Kuroko the newest iPhone, straight to his door. He was rich, after all. Kuroko tried to refuse, of course, but Akashi threatened Kagami's life if he didn't accept the phone. The teal-haired boy took it and thanked him.

"Hello?" Kuroko spoke into the phone.

"Ahh! Kurokocchi replied!" Kise's voice squealed and nearly deafened the gym. "See, Aominecchi! Kurokocchi loves me more than you!" the faint shut the fuck up Kise was heard in the background as Kuroko raised his eyebrow.

"Why have you and Aomine-kun called?" he questioned. Honestly wondering why, because usually they would message hi- ah.

So that's what all the DING sounds were.

"Haah? Have you forgotten? We were all meant to sleepover at Akashi's villa for the weekend!" Kise said in confusion.

Kuroko blinked, once, twice, three times.

"Oh."

"We were gonna meet at Tokyo Central Station? At four? It's five right now! Where are you?" Kise asked.

Kuroko sat down and placed his face in his hands. He forgot.

A quiet give me the bloody phone Kise was audible until another voice spoke. "Oi, Tetsu, where you at? We've been waiting here for an hour, Akashi looks calm but he's about to stab someone." He chuckled. "Murasakibara's already finished all his snacks, Midorima's irritated and it's making him act like a cranky pregnant woma- OI! CHILL MIDORIMA! CHILL! Yeah, and Kise's driving everyone insane."

Kuroko stood up and placed the phone between his ear and his shoulder, gathering his things and throwing them into his bag.

"Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I'll be a little late. I'll arrive in twenty minutes." Kuroko spoke, all of his teammates staring in surprise and confusion as he pressed END CALL, not waiting for a response.

"Where are you going?" Riko asked.

Kuroko bowed, "Gomenasai, it seems I had a previous engagement but it slipped my mind. Please excuse me from the rest of practice today."

Abruptly, he ignored the spluttering mutters and questions from behind him and slipped out of the door of the gym and speed-walked out of the school and to the bus stop.

He had to get onto two different buses, and do it in twenty minutes. It took only a couple of minutes for his first bus to arrive and he did so quickly.

He was actually surprised that the bus even stopped for him; usually even bus drivers miss him due to his lack of presence. But there was an old woman getting on the same bus, so he chalked it up to the bus driver noticing her, not him.

As he sat down, he exhaled and took out his phone to check the messages he received before Kise and Aomine started calling him.

Kuroko sighed and got off the bus, noticing his next bus to Tokyo Central Station was waiting at the stop.

The bluenette shot off in a sudden burst of speed and stumbled onto the bus, panting even though he only ran quickly for a second of seconds.

He would really have to work on his stamina.

Tapping his card on the card reader, he sat down near the middle of the empty bus and took out his phone once again.

It only took a second for there to be replies after he placed his phone down on his lap and stared out of the window in silence. It was still bright outside, the sun was shining down strong onto the citizens of Tokyo, but Kuroko unlocked his phone again, momentarily seeing the photo of Nigou as the lock screen.

Kuroko raised an eyebrow.

He knew that it was his fault that he forgot about their plans, but he didn't appreciate Midorima practically attacking him for his mistake.

He wanted to get revenge.

He wanted to get revenge in the most Kuroko-esque way possible.

A way that will make Midorima scream and get so annoyed and want to stop talking for hours. Kuroko released an evil smile onto his lips.

He started typing the five letter word that would be Midorima's impending doom.
