"You are quite the mystery. No one can figure you out." Anya murmured. Looking Enyo up and down as she was strung up in the middle of the village on the tree, exactly where Abraham was not too long ago.
It was first light and Enyo had become more sober as the hours passed, given this predicament she swore to herself to never drink any of Monty's moonshine again. If she survived.
"So you're hoping to expose me?" Enyo raised her eyebrows, a bored smile on her lips, "hows that going for you?"

"Give it time. You should know im good at getting what i want." Anya spoke lowly, their conversation just for them.
Enyo hummed, mockingly, "hmm. If you're talking about getting me to fuck you again after what happened 3 years ago then you failed. So are you just going to flirt with me or interrogate me?"

Anya turned to address the crowd thats gathered, "Enyou laik natrona gon oso kru." Enyo is a traitor amongst our people."Em don blou oso of gon skaikru." She sided with the sky people over us.
Then turning to direct her words to Enyo, loud enough for everyone to hear, "wamplei kom oso kru laik ona yu, Enyou. Yu na teik daunde in." Our people died because of you, Enyo. Can you live with that?

Enyo felt her blood boil at Anya's words. She had been briefed on the missles that burnt one of the Trikru villages to the ground, some survived some didn't. But she hadn't had anything to do with that. At that point Enyo had left with Abraham to go to Lincolns cave. She didn't even see or hear about it from her sky friends until a few days later. But that is why she was being blamed. Because if Enyo had remained loyal to her kru rather than her humanity, then she would've killed the sky people before they inflicted damage. Accidental or not.

Enyo snarled, "Jok yu, onya." Fuck you, Anya. "Lis ai get klin ai gonplei ste stanop." At least i know what im fighting for is right. Then tipping her chin in defiance, "ai wamplei na bilaik fleimen." My death will be worth it.  Then Enyo spots someone within the crowd. A face she never would've expected to be there. Not right here, right now. Tears fell freely down her face, growling with how much emotion she felt at that moment. She'd never felt so betrayed.
Ignoring the crowd murmuring their opinions, Anya's steel eyes stare down at the girl she still had a weakness for. Seeing how upset she'd made her from bringing someone close to her to get information. Forcing the words that she hoped would get rid of her feelings for the fiery redhead.
"As you wish. You will be dead by nightfall."

.........
Returning to camp after searching the wreckage of the exodus ship, they'd come back to Murphy inside the dropship. Battered, beaten and bloodied, curled in a ball in the corner, silently planning to make the others pay for what they've done to him. As Clarke made her way over to him, Abraham had burst in through the entrance.

"Don't!" He exclaimed, forcing Clarke to step away from Murphy. Luckily, she hadn't touched him.
At Clarke's questioning glance, Abraham explained. " A touch will kill. It's how our warriors weaken the enemy before they strike."
Clarke gaped in realisation,"biological warfare."

From where she stood, Clarke surveyed Murphy with her doctor's eye and took in his cuts, bruises, all of the blood covering him.
"His fingernails were torn off. They tortured him."
"You and the grounders should compare notes." Finn sneered at Bellamy.
"We're at war." Bellamy bit back, continuing to interrogate, "what did you tell them about us?!"

Murphy looked up at that, going with the truth, "everything."
Betrayal was written all over their faces, any advantage they had gone. Clarke had no patience for the boy that was willing to kill Charlotte, stepping further away from him.
"We need to start a quarantine, Conner round up everyone who had contact with Murphy and bring them here." Then stepping up to a frustrated Bellamy, "once we find out what he knows, he's out of here."

Before Bellamy can respond, Murphy lets out a raspy, mean chuckle, "You'll find out the truth hurts. Your precious grounder did this. She's the reason we're at risk."
All eyes fell on Bellamy but Clarke looked at Abraham for answers.
"What is he talking about?" She asked him.
Abraham gulped as everyone looked at him, feeling guilty for Enyo that she had to make this call for him. And now she wasn't here to tell them herself.
"Anya, our leader, found out about us helping you. So she tied me up and cut me as punishment."
Bellamy nodded, Enyo already told him this and Clarke remembered the cuts on the young boy.
Abraham continued, "Anya gave Enyo a choice. Get one of you and she'd let me go. Or we'd both die." Turning to speak directly to Bellamy, "she was supposed to get you or Clarke, the leader. But Enyo picked him." ,gesturing to Murphy.

Clenching his jaw, Bellamy left the dropship, feeling a little out of place. My sibling, my responsibility. He would do anything for Octavia and if he was in Enyo's shoes, he would've sacrificed someone for her too. But he was still frustrated. Enyo had the chance to tell him about swapping Murphy for her brother and instead she'd lied. Kept it to herself. But he couldn't confront her about it now, it'd been a day and she still hadnt come back. Enyo was probably being tortured for helping his people. And here he was questioning her for putting her brother first. And Murphy? Bellamy hated the fact that the banished son of a bitch had probably jumped at the chance to tell the grounders everything. He shouldve kept his mouth shut.

Feeling a presence beside him in the water tent, he looked down to see the young boy he'd been avoiding since yesterday. Bellamy couldnt face the little kid after what happend at the bridge, keeping himself at a distance so he could still protect Enyo's brother if needed. But Clarke was the one that told him what happened to his sister and from what she'd told Bellamy, he hadnt taken it well. Abraham was quite a peace filled kid but when it came to people having the wrong idea of his sister, he got a little more brave.
"She did it for me. Like how you went after Tavia." He affirmed strongly. His little head straining from looking so high up to Bellamy's tall frame. Bellamy wasn't sure how to respond to him so he didn't. But the 10 year old didnt stop narrowing his eyes up at him and Bellamy felt guilt claw at him.
"Im sorry i didn't protect her." He admitted quietly.
Abraham stopped glaring at the strong leader when he sees just how openly worried Bellamy is about his big sister.

That expression scared Abraham more than anything. If this fearless, strong leader was worried then that meant that there was a chance his big sister could be dead. No. Neither of them could accept that.

Shaking his head, "En can take care of herself. She's been through worse, she'll be back."
Bellamy heard the certainty in his tone and considering this kid was afraid of his own shadow, he'd never heard his voice be so steady. Nodding his head, Bellamy let his heart get swept up in the younger boy's faith.
"Did she tell you to protect me until she comes back?"
Bellamy smiled a little at that, nodding.
Abraham shook his head fondly, "typical, queenie."

.........
Enyo's arms were aching to the point where they'd gone stiff. She hadn't seen Lincoln since the bridge, and based on the fact that he was seen on the enemies side, she wasn't going to get her hopes up on a rescue mission. He wasn't in camp, so he'd be at his cave. Everyone else in Trikru were going about their day, occasionally glancing at her in disgust. Enyo would smile at them in response. And then they'd glare.

"Your adorable. You actually think you can frighten me?" Enyo called out, feeling Indra's eyes on her.
Indra growled, "I should. You have no idea w-"
"Oh i know your capabilities just fine." Enyo leaned forward as much as her binds would allow. "But do you know mine?"
It was rhetorical of course. Everyone, especially Indra knew what Enyo kom trikru had done. And exactly what she was capable of. Indra stormed towards Anya's hut and Enyo let her head hit the tree. She was tired, boneless and her memories of the village she'd grown up in were waring away her resolve. It had only been a couple hours but within that time Anya had made one of her warriors torture her for information on the sky people. Deep, sore cuts that her clothing, what was left of it, was rubbing against causing her to wince. The worst was on her back, where they'd lashed her with a leather whip. Where someone important to her had held the whip too. It was only a couple of times but it had caused her to pass out, waking up being slung back against the tree.

Her eyes were drooping again when she distantly heard shouts further away in the village. She didnt have the strength to raise her head to look. But she did hear some things around her. Like the sounds of a struggle caused by Lincoln fighting the two grounders who were guarding her. And when Lincoln soothed her with soft words, cutting her down and picking her up as he ran out of the village. She cried out in pain for most of the way, occasionally passing out. When she woke up she was still in Lincolns arms but someone else was walking beside him.

"Tavia?" Enyo croaked, mouth dry.
Octavia smiled down at her, grabbing her friend's hand, squeezing. Enyo felt her exhaustion eat away at her and let her senses smell the forest around her. When the swaying of Lincoln stopped, Enyo was set down gently with the help of Octavia, holding her arms as her legs trembled.
"What did you do?" Enyo rasped at her best friend. Now realising they were close to the dropship.
Lincoln tucked Enyo's hair behind both ears, like he always did when they were children and she was upset. It always made her smile.
"Set the village on fire a little." Seeing her protests he hushed her, "its already done. Im not going back anyway, too much has happened. You'll be safe here."
Giving her hair a gentle ruffle, he hands some spare clothes to Octavia for Enyo to put on when she gets to the dropship, wraps her up in one of his cloaks to cover her bare back and kisses Octavia. Talking to her about meeting again later.

Enyo lifted the raggs that was once her shirt and saw that her wounds had been stitched up. She made a move to feel her back, knowing there are already stitches holding her torn skin together from where the whipp made contact. Lincoln stopped her before she could touch them. "I stitched them but i didn't have time to clean. Octavia will help you with that."

When he disappears, Octavia pulls Enyo's arm over her shoulder helping her to walk as they make their way back to camp. They heard the shots go off as they made their way through the crowd but Enyo was too busy battling her pain to hear whats being said.
Octavia gathered everyone's attention, "there is no cure. But the grounders don't use the sickness to kill! They're attacking at first light!"
Bellamy saw Enyo's weakened state being held up by his sister, frozen at the fact that she's here, alive.

"En!" Abraham exclaimed, running up to her. Octavia brought her further into camp towards him, telling him to take her other arm so they could get her in the dropship. But another guy stepped in the way, pointing his gun at Enyo's beaten form."the grounders did this! Theres no way they're staying!"

That snapped Bellamy out of his reverie as he saw red, grabbed the guys gun and elbowed him in the face. The guy staggered back, and Clarke croaked out that they belonged here from her place in Finns arms.

Bellamy's anger dialled down as he glared at the boy but his protective instincts spiked when Enyo hissed in pain as Abraham accidentally brushed against one of her injuries. The crowd dispersed as Clarke was carried into the dropship along with Enyo. Bellamy not too far behind.
Octavia and Abraham sat her down against the wall, close to Clarke who was on the hammock.

"You should go up to the upper levels, you could catch this." Clarke croaked at Enyo from her place in the hammock.
Enyo shook her head, looking at Abraham to get her some water for her throat. "We already had the sickness. They already gave it to us so we don't get any surprises when we're older in a war." She croaked out, throat contricting painfully from her screams of pain.

Clarke made to get up to doctor Enyo's injuries but Finn stopped her, urging her to sleep and after some reluctance she did. Octavia got up to get some wet cloths to clean Enyo's wounds, leaving Abraham and Bellamy with her. Abrahams hands began to shake, he wanted to hug his sister but he didnt want to hurt her.

"What did they do to you?" He asked, distraught. Enyo ruffled his hair but kept her movements small. She noticed Bellamy had crouched down in front of her but let Abraham have his moment with her. She couldn't tell Abraham who did this to her. Who gave up information and betrayed her.
Shaking her head, Enyo forced a convincing smile, "it looks worse then it feels." It doesnt. "But I'm better now." Only a little.
Noticing her brothers hesitation, she pulled him into her chest and he clung to her, letting his tears fall onto her collerbone. He was so afraid when he saw her come into camp, she looked like she was dying. But he believed his big sister when she said she'd be fine, Abraham was gullible like that. But Bellamy wasn't. He saw through her attempt at a smile, trying to cover up her pain to make everyone feel better. Bellamy knew all to well what that was like.

When Octavia returned with the cloths, some water and moonshine, she encouraged him to help Finn take care of the others, seen as though he was immune. Abraham smiled, eager to help and kissed Enyo's cheek as he got up to help Finn. Octavia moved the cloak off Enyo's shoulders revealing her bare back and what was left of her shirt. Bellamy's eyes widened at her state but he made no move to look at the damage on her back yet.

"O, Clarke's right we shouldn't do this here. Not for everyone to see." Bellamy admonished, feeling a couple of sick eyes on his weak friend. And he knew Abraham was within sight of seeing the extent of her injuries, which she'd tried to keep from him.
Octavia huffed, "Bell where else can we do this? The longer we wait the more pain she's in."
They both turned to look at Enyo, expecting a snarky comment from her as she always did in most if not all conversations. But instead Enyo was on the verge of consciousness, pain-filled breaths the only sound that they could hear from her. Bellamy didn't like that Clarke wasn't well enough to help Enyo but in her absence the Blakes would have to do.

Making a decision, Bellamy gently scooped Enyo into his arms, mindful of her bloody back and carried her out of the dropship and into his tent. Octavia followed behind him, smiling a little remembering her conversation with Finn and Lincoln on unity day.
Carefully setting her down on his makeshift bed, and apologising when she whimpered in pain, Bellamy helped Enyo into a sitting position. Sitting next to her so she wouldn't fall and hurt herself if she fell unconscious. Enyo leaned into him, relieving some of the pressure from her back.

"I'm going to cut you out of your shirt." Octavia promised going ahead when Enyo made no move to stop her. Bellamy was going to ask if she wanted privacy, not really wanting to go but trying to be a gentlemen. But Enyo grabbed his hand and squeezed, as if sensing he was going to leave, and he squeezed back. I'll stay with you.

When Octavia was done, Enyo was left in nothing but her grounder bra-bindings and her leather pants. The Blakes helped her lay down on her stomach, her back completely on display. Enyo's back was completely covered in deep, bleeding gashes, her skin on her back was completely damaged with them and it caused tears to fill Bellamy's eyes. Octavia sat there and let her silent tears fall.

Then with one look at her brother she was determined to fix it. She remembered the knowledge that Clarke had told her when they had been talking about cuts and infection when she had been bit by the lake snake and put it into good use. She grabbed the alcohol and unscrewed the lid, telling them that it would sterilise the cuts and keep out infection. She began to pour the liquid all over the deep cuts. Octavia and Bellamy  jumped at the sound of a pain-filled scream that came from their friend. Octavia stopped pouring the liquid and the scream turned to whimpers. Bellamy quickly rose from his place and knelt next to Enyo's face which was turned to the side as she was lying on her stomach.
Bellamy caressed Enyo's cheek and spoke softly.

"Hey queenie, your okay. We just need to clean and bandage that pretty back of yours. You're gunna be fine." He whispered, eyes full of concern.
Enyo opened her eyes and stared into Bellamy's. She stopped whimpering as she spoke with a broken voice "Bell?"
He smiled at her and let his tears run down his cheeks without wiping them away.
"How you feeling, queenie?" She smiled at the nickname her brother always called her when he was in a bad mood and although it was a small smile, Bellamy's heart swelled.
"It hurts Bell please stop." She begged.

Bellamy's heart broke when tears fell from her own eyes and he wiped them away with his thumb.
"We have to do something about that pretty back of yours." He teased lightly, trying to distract her from noticing that Octavia had begun to carefully wipe her gashes that were wet with alcohol again.
"Is everyone okay?" She asked through gritted teeth as she was holding back her cries. Bellamy smiled at her stubborn and caring nature. always looking after everyone but herself, he thinks.

"They're fine." He lied. A couple of his people had died from this sickness but he didn't want her to feel guilty for that. After all, she was in this state for them. The least he could do was spare her pain. But based on the look on her face, she knows he's lying.
"Im sorry." Enyo sobbed through her pain, "i didnt want this."
Bellamy shook his head, stroking her hair away from her face. This was the first time Enyo had been vulnerable in front of him. The first time he'd seen her cry and although he was warmed at the fact that she trusted him that much, he now knew that he hated it when she cried."Hey, this isn't your fault. Okay? We know about Murphy." Bellamy looked at his sister, still catering to Enyo's almost clean back, "i wouldve done the same thing."
Enyo accepted the comfort Bellamy was giving her and grabbed his hand again. "Thanks for taking care of Abe."
"Anytime."

.........
"Im the only one who's not sick, right?" Jasper realised, gulping at their dwindling numbers and the responsibility he now carries.
"Right." Bellamy said from his place next to Enyo. Before she passed out she inspected him, checking his eyes, ears and mouth. He would've been glad that she was momentarily distracted from her pain if it wasnt for the furrow of concern in her brow for him. But he had listened to her when she said he would be feeling the sickness later and that he needed to stay in the tent so as not to infect the others. Octavia had laughed at his expression, trying to conceal her worry.

Jasper clutched the gun closer to his chest, watching Bellamy's eyes daze as blood ran down his nose. Their people's lives were depending on him. On this one shot.
"And Jasper." Bellamy weased, "dont miss."
Jasper nodded, muttering something about Octavia which Bellamy didn't hear, as he left the tent. Bellamy clutched at his chest as he threw up blood, attempting to crawl to the entrance so he didn't throw up on the sleeping Enyo or his bed. He didn't quite make it though, landing flat on his back, struggling to get air into his lungs.

Then he felt hands on him as his body turned to the side and he threw up again before his airway cleared. His vision was hazy but he knew who was wiping his face with a wet cloth, trying to cool him down. Enyo fought through her pain so she could be there for him. Her back feeling like it was on fire, constantly adjusting how she was sat.
"Shhh. Your going to be okay, Bell." Enyo soothed, holding his hand and letting him squeeze some of his pain away like she had done earlier.

Octavia burst through the tent, eyes wide on her brother as she knelt on his other side, taking his other hand.
"Im scared." Bellamy admitted quietly.
"Im not gunna let anything bad happen to you." Octavia promised her brother fiercely.
Bellamy let out a breath resembling a chuckle. "Thats what i said to you the day you were born."
Octavia smiled, "i know. You've told me that like a thousand times." she chastised fondly.
"You know what they say...memory is the first to go." Enyo snarked weakly from her place at Bellamy's side.

Octavia laughed, glad to know her friend was feeling better after some rest. Bellamy threw up a little again, eyes wide and breathing unsteady. Enyo saw he needed some comfort of his own. And even though she was scared to lose him, she wasn't going to give him up without a fight.
"Listen here," her voice soft but commanding, "i didnt save your ass just for you to die now. So tell your fear to screw itself. Your story isnt over yet. Im not kidding Blake, if you die on me, im going to be pissed."
Bellamy's eyes softened and he squeezed her hand as thanks, gaining some of her strength, before he fell to sleep. Enyo hoped that this wouldn't be the last time she sees him alive but kept her fears inside.

Octavia stayed with them until she went to the dropship, informing a recovering Clarke of what's happened. And when they went to check on them after the explosion on the bridge, both Clarke and Octavia smiled at the pair curled up together on the floor of the tent. Bellamy on his side, arm slung over Enyo who was lying on her stomach, face quite close to Bellamy's. Clarke pulled Octavia away before she could get any ideas of waking them to tease them, so they missed it when Enyo muttered, "Ai sou na mafta yu op, belomi." in her sleep.

Authors note: I'll have the next chapter up by tomorrow night.) Who was she betrayed by? You'll find out in season 2
