.....3rd person POV.....

The three grounders had been in the dropship for a day now, filling eachother in on their separate experiences with the sky people. Lincoln had been watching them since the first day too, but his focus had been derailed by a certain sky girl. When Abraham filled Lincoln in on what Enyo had been up to, saving them, helping them, Lincoln had kept quiet. Which normally wouldn't be that strange if it weren't for the look on his face. He'd voiced his concerns about his best friends staying with the sky people until the right moment for Anya's people to be distracted and make a run for it. But Enyo wasn't taking any chances when it came to her brother. She refused to lose him too. Being her best friend for so long he knew not to question her when she felt so strongly about something. Knowing she wouldn't stop fighting until her very last breath, maybe not even then.

They'd spoken in trigedasleng as they were still on watch by different members of skaikru and wanted as much privacy as they could get. Bellamy was on watch again but didn't make an attempt to talk to Enyo this time, his thoughts on the man he'd tried to kill and the three hundred people in the culling. Jaha knows that Bellamy's still with whats left of the 100 delinquents he'd sent down but only sees Clarke as their leader. She can handle leading them alone. Bellamy thought, still planning his escape. He didn't want to leave his sister behind but Octavia would rather stay than run away with him. The others would look out for her. Quickly glancing at Enyo, who was talking to her brother whilst he sewed up some clothes, he thought about leaving her behind. She had told him yesterday that she was staying but she wasn't clear on how long that would be. And if he left her what would the others do to her and her little brother. Bellamy didn't care much for the other grounder, animosity still between them that had everything to do with Octavia. But Bellamy wasn't really thinking things through clearly. Too guilt ridden to see all the flaws in his plan. But one thing was for sure Bellamy and Enyo was on the run.

Miller came up the hatch to take over Bellamy's shift where he gave him the update on telling the parents of his dead friends and how they weren't getting any justice. As Miller moved closer to Lincoln, Enyo stood up and drew her sword.
"Miller," she growled, "that wasn't Lincoln. You can't blame him for all of your dead friends."
"He's a grounder just like the rest of them." Miller spat, covering his hand in crushed berry juice. Enyo placed her sword on the ground, choosing to use her words instead. Granted Lincoln couldn't do anything but she had been the one to introduce head butting to him when they were children. He'd once knocked Enyo out when they were sparring together.

"No he's not. The only person he's harmed was Finn. None of the other grounders would've given you the antidote. But he did." Miller hesitated at her words motivating her to continue. Bellamy watched her silently.

"I've known him since we were children. Take my word for it, him and Abe are different. Don't blame the mistakes of his people on him."

Stunned silence followed as Miller wiped his berry covered hand on his jacket and nodded at Enyo, moving to sit down in the far corner. Lincoln grunted his thanks as Abraham continued to sew, use to the girl in their lives influencing others with her words. Enyo walked over to Bellamy as he began to walk towards the hatch. He opened the hatch but stopped moving when he saw Enyo watching him. Seeing the look in her eyes he knew exactly what she was asking. She'd been fidgity all night so it was obvious that being held in such close quarters was new to her. At least caves were outside. Nodding his head with a small smile he climbed further down the ladder, hearing her following footsteps.

Once on the ground floor Bellamy noticed Octavia was sat down, as if waiting for the right moment to see the grounder.
"Im not leaving till you let me see him." She grumbled.
"Get comfy." Bellamy retorted. Octavia turned her head and noticed they were not alone, the grounder girl watching their interaction behind her brother. Octavia loved how confident and strong the girl looked, envying everything about her.
"Lincoln says heya." At her puzzled look, Enyo elaborated, "heya means hello."
Octavia smiles shyly, as if she's been caught. Clarke walks in and starts speaking to Bellamy so Enyo decides to talk to her best friends crush for a moment.
"Thank you, for what you did for him. But if you have a plan to help him escape then i will owe you two favours." Enyo hoped that Octavia would figure a way to get him out and by the way she nods, determined, she knows the girl will stop at nothing to help him. Walking over to Clarke and Bellamy she picked up on their topic of conversation.

"It isn't safe to stray too far from your camp." Enyo interupted quickly. Clarke turned to Enyo, considering how much trust she's willing to give the girl that's so different. Sharing a look with Bellamy she decided to trust her. If someone as untrusting as Bellamy trusts her, then she figures she can too. Telling her the coordinates, Clarke watches as Enyo bites her lip in thought. Noticing that Bellamy has glanced at the grounders action.

"You'll need my help to avoid coming into contact with my people. I can cover your tracks." She stated strongly.
Bellamy turned to her, "won't Anya still be looking for you?"
Enyo's expression changed at that and both Clarke and Bellamy were curious about the reason behind it.

Sighing, Enyo wants nothing more than to just ride her horse through the forest to relieve her stress."She will expect us to run. They wont come too close to your camp until they have a plan."
Realisation dawned on Bellamy, "thats why you're wanting to stay. So you can pick the right moment to run."
Shrugging, she retorts, "best shot we've got."
Bellamy knew that he was wanting to run but now he knew with this day trip, this was his best shot. And maybe not only his. Clarke was suggesting that she would come with him and Enyo when Bellamy interupted her. Convincing her it was best that she stay in camp so their would be some authority whilst Miller was on prisoner watch.

Sensing his urgency, Enyo agreed, "It'd make me feel better if you could take a look at Abraham and Lincoln. Abe has some cuts that could use cleaning. Looks like you could both use the company. But once he gets talking he tends to tell bad jokes."
Clarke bristled and nodded her head, seemingly disappointed that she cant get out of camp for a while but being with the youngest grounder would be the best distraction, whilst giving Bellamy more details about the trip. Enyo went to collect her weapons and give Abe a quiet heads up that he should keep Clarke occupied whilst Octavia figures out a way to free Lincoln. She'd prefer it if he went back to their people or his cave than to remain tied up.

Going outside for the first time in what felt like days, made Enyo grin up at the sky as she felt the sun on her face. Bellamy breathed out a quiet chuckle moving towards the food rations with his pack. Walking through the camp, Enyo felt everyone's eyes on her and needed to calm herself to stop her from feeling uncomfortable. Hating being the center of attention. She focused on Bellamy. He was packing a lot of small packs into his bag. This trip is only for a day maybe two at most. She stepped towards him but collided with someone who stepped in front of her.

"Your Enyo, right?" Enyo looked up at the unfamiliar voice but smiled when she saw who it was.
"Nice to know you survived CJ." Smiling at Jaspers stutter of confusion.
"Its Jasper actually." He said slowly, as if Enyo was an idiot.
Laughing a little, she responded, "i know Jasper. Its just you seemed a little crazy when i first saw you sooo...Crazy Jasper."
Jasper huffed out a laugh, "thanks for what you did. Kinda saved my life."
Enyo raised an eyebrow, "kinda? I saved your ass." Jasper fumbled with his hands so he put them in his jacket pockets, not quite sure how to express his gratitude other than a quick bear hug. Enyo laughed, patting his cheek sympathetically, "I'll save your ass anytime as long as i get to call you CJ."

Jasper stuck out his hand and shook hers, "deal. But when you get back from wherever your going i expect a conversation with my saviour."
"Deal." She agreed.

......

"Id recommend that you put your shirt and jacket back on." Enyo commented from in front of him. She was supposed to be keeping an eye out for her people and he hadnt seen her look back at his semi nakedness but it was obvious that she had. The thought made Bellamy smirk.

"Why? Worried you wont be able to control yourself? Because if you're concerned about my virtue, i have to tell you, im not-"
"actually"- she cut him off with a smirk of her own that made her look very mischievous and intimidating-"there are some trees that have honey that burns the skin on contact so your pretty back would be fried."
He jogged to catch up with her fast but silent pace, shrugging. "For all i know, you could be into that. I'll take my chances."
Enyo rolled her eyes at his teasing. She could tell he was much more relaxed than she'd ever seen him, getting swept up in the teasing and challenging remarks. Why did he look like he has everything figured out? Enyo thought to herself.

Bellamy already had his pack full of ration packs and water, ready to leave as soon as he asked his travel companion to come with him. He never would've expected to be asking the girl from another world to run away with him. But he thought Earth was really beautiful, despite the grounders trying to kill them. Either way Bellamy didnt expect any of this, certainly not the girl to his left. But Bellamy had never met anyone he couldnt figure out, like this girl who kept him guessing. He was drawn to her for reasons that he couldnt even figure out and it both fascinated him and pissed him off.

"You ever gunna tell me what you're running from?" Bellamy spoke up to Enyo's right. It hadn't been long since they'd left the camp but with her quick pace and his long strides they'd covered a lot of ground.
"You ever going to tell me what you are running from?" Enyo asked, humouring him.
"no idea what you're taking about." He feigned innocently.
"Sure you don't. Whatever you need to tell yourself." She sniped back, rolling her eyes. Sticking her tongue out when he kept up the innocent expression.
"There is something very wrong with you, just so you know." Bellamy teased. Sparks flying.
"Oh i know. I try not to examine it too much, might wake something up if i poke it with a stick." Enyo snarked seriously, causing a smile to break out on his face. She's got a sense of humour thats like his. He thinks but keeps it to himself.

"So, Bellamy Blake, there a reason you packed so many rations into your bag? For a day trip?" Her curiosity finally boiled over.
"How do you know my last name?" Bellamy questioned, amused at the idea she could've asked around about him.
Rolling her eyes, "from Atom. Dont try and change the subject. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."
Side eyeing her, "ladies first."

Enyo scoffed, pushing him slightly, "ever the gentleman. Im running to protect my brother. A couple days ago i came back from visiting my mom when i saw Abe..." gulping down her memories, "Anya had been cutting him because she found out about us helping you. I lied to her and said i was trying to gain your trust for information but i could tell she didn't quite believe me. I got my brother back but I knew the next time he stepped out of line Anya wouldn't hesitate to get rid of him. So we left. I left Abraham in Lincolns cave so i could warn my mom and, well, you know the rest."

Enyo didn't mention the fact that she captured Murphy in exchange for her brother but she didn't want Bellamy to think of her as the enemy. She made a choice and she'd do it again if it came down to it. But she still felt the need to find time to add another kill mark to her back for Murphy. Afterall, his death is on her. Bellamy felt quite responsible that Enyo was running from her own people because she helped his. Being punished for saving lives.

"But you were heading somewhere? A place where you'd both be safe?" If he could find that place then he wouldn't have to worry about the grounders. He was still working up the courage to ask Enyo to come with him. She wasn't safe here and neither was he. They could be free from their lives and responsibilities.

Still surveying her surroundings for any trouble, Enyo didn't see Bellamy as he popped a few hallucinogenic nuts in his mouth. He'd given her a pack to eat earlier and assuming it was berries, she stuffed it in her pocket and said she'd rather hunt something whilst they were out.
Replying to his question, "yeah, the ocean. There are people that would take us in no questions. I went there with Lincoln a couple times but i havent been in a while."

Not too far from them, only minutes behind, was Dax. He had to be extremely careful not to attract the grounder's attention which was making him more impatient. All he had to do was kill Bellamy when he was alone. Then he'd get to see his mother on the first dropship down after not seeing her since he got put in lock up. Bellamy was dead as soon as Jaha gets down anyway. He's doing them all a favour.

......

After finding the guns, to which Bellamy was still grinning like an idiot, he hung up a frail cloth and began practicing. The way he held the gun was as much care as Enyo would hold her sword or bow and arrows. His stature was rigid until he needed to shoot and when he did he wasn't far off his mark. Still Enyo couldn't help but tease.

"Needs some work, non-non." Honey.
Bellamy gave her a look, "do i even wanna know what that means?"
The teasing glint in her eye spoke for her as she shrugged, gesturing to him with her hand to take another shot. But instead he held the gun out for her.
"Think you can do better?" He teased. But Enyo made no move to grab the gun, in fact she seemed to move away from it. Bellamy frowned, assuring her he won't hurt her.
"No its not-...my people dont use guns." She supplied.
"Why not?" This just puzzled Bellamy. Yeah the grounders were great with spears and other weapons but guns were much more effective. Why wouldn't they use them? Not that he isnt glad they don't.
Speaking slowly as if the mountain men could hear her considering to pick up a gun, "just trust me. The last time someone picked up a gun, their village was blown up. Nothing good can come from me holding that."
Stunned Bellamy lowered the gun to his side, "your superstitious? You know that's not gunna happen right?"

Enyo had been told this when she was a child and she thought it was ridiculous. Why should the mountain men care if they use those kinds of weapons? It wasn't until an attack close to another Trikru village a few weeks before the sky kids came down that Enyo had a strange thought. What if the mountain men dont want us using guns because then we'd be better at protecting our people from them? She had spoken to others about this but no one seemed to want to take that chance. So out of respect, neither would she. And she said as much to Bellamy. He gave a slight nod, respecting her wishes and knowing full well that she could take care of herself fine without them.

"You can't use a gun to hunt. How're your other weapon skills?" She propositioned. Promising him she would help with anything he was rusty at.
So Bellamy showed her exactly how good he was with an axe and knife...

To which Enyo had been impressed and slightly turned on. Noticing the dark gleam in her eyes, Bellamy smirked that goddamm smirk and mentioned he didnt need to know much else as his new weapon would handle long distance. But Enyo wasn't having it. She wanted to teach him something so she offered, more like ordered, him to learn how to shoot using a bow and arrow.

Using the same target, Enyo drew one of her arrow from her quiver, placed it correctly on the bow and drew back into the correct stance to take aim. Breathing in through her nose and out of her mouth, she let go of the arrow. Seeing as the cloth wasn't an actual tree trunk or an animal, it went straight through, but it was obvious it went through the bulls eye. Cocking her eyebrow at Bellamy, he stepped forward accepting her challenge.

His stature needed work and he allowed Enyo to criticise him so he could learn. He had gotten a bit too distracted by her to pay much attention anyway. She set his feet further apart, making sure his left foot was in front, right foot at the back as he was right handed like her. Enyo watched as he drew back an arrowless bow and she moved closer to make sure his core was tight and arms were in the right place.

"Here." Enyo hummed quietly, further adjusting his posture, fingers wrapping around his as he held the arrow. They both felt the dizzying rush of want the longer they were so close.
Bellamy was suddenly thrown by the intamacy of having her so close, her small hands and arms touching him, he swore he could feel her natural aura of warmth through his clothes. She smelled like leaves and the earth after its rained which would undoubtedly become his favourite smell. Enyo found the smell of gunpowder, smoke and something else just so Bellamy that had her intoxicated. She'd never been this close but knew if she didnt back off now she'd never let go. once she did he cleared his throat. Signaling for him to grab an arrow, he did so, still feeling the tension in the air around them. After a little bit of fiddling and failed concealing of giggles on her part, Bellamy managed to get the arrow securely on the bow and drew it back like before. Taking small breaths he waited a beat before letting go, his arrow just shy of the X. The more he practiced the better he got, and when he finally hit bulls eye Bellamy grinned proudly at her and Enyo grinned back happily. Both enjoying the other's smile.

Once they came down off their happiness high, cheeks still hurting the both of them, Enyo wanted to ask what she'd forgotton about earlier.
"Bellamy why are you running?"
She wasn't sure if he was going to answer at first, all traces of happiness vanished. But Bellamy figured she'd find out eventually so he told her. About shooting Jaha to get down here to be with Octavia. About how he was responsible for the culling on the ark. And how Jaha was still alive and wanted to talk to him. Enyo didn't interupt, but Bellamy didn't want her to comfort him like when Charlotte died. No matter what she says this was down to him. So before she could respond he left, feeling disoriented, to get some fresh air.

.....

Cursing herself, Enyo ignored the black dots in her vision as she aimed her bow and arrow at a member of skaikru, who had Bellamy at gun point. She assumed it was Bellamy coming back into the bunker when she was knocked out from behind. Immediately her first thought when she woke up was Bellamy. And following their tracks led her to where she stands now.

The guy had turned aiming his gun at her, warning her to walk away.
"Not a chance. If anyone's dying here it's you." She threatened.
"Your choice." And he fired. Enyo had ducked to hide behind a tree, stupidly dropping her bow an arrow, aware that a bullet would be a lot faster than an arrow.
"NOOO!" Bellamy cries, tackling Dax to the ground. They fought, both taking hits but Dax remained in power. Enyo snook up behind him and grabbed him as he stood to fight her, using their momentum to throw him over her back and to the floor. But he dragged her down with him, kneeling on her windpipe and holding her hands down on the ground, giving her no option but to try to kick him with her legs. He wasn't letting up and the more Enyo moved the more breath was took out of her. Suddenly his weight shifted and it took a few moments for Enyo to come back to herself and see what happened. Dax was dead. A bullet sticking out of his neck. Bellamy had killed for her. And the look on his face was heartbreakingly guilt ridden. And she knew it wasnt just the one death he had to carry.

"My mother...if she knew what I'd done...who i am...she raised me to be better to be good. But all i do is hurt people. Im a monster." Bellamy rasped, brokenly. This was the most vulnerable he had ever allowed himself to be in front of anyone. He wasn't the type to show his inner turmoil to people. Enyo vowed to help him. Didnt want him to feel this way when it hurt her to see him like this.

"Bellamy you saved my life. No one has ever done that before. No one has ever wanted to. I know a monster when i see one and that is NOT what you are. You deserve to be forgiven for your mistakes, you're only human...so i forgive you." Enyo promised softly, sitting next to him back against the tree.

Bellamy looks up at that.
"But this isnt something you need to run from. This can be fixed if we think of a plan. And we WILL." Enyo was a queen when it came to devious plans so she let her mind roam free at the possibilities. Bellamy admired her devotion to keep him alive. No one had ever taken their time to take care of him. Never knew what it was like to have a true friend. He finally felt the courage to ask her.

"Come with me."
Stunned, Enyo's whirling thoughts stop.
"We could go to the ocean. You can go back and sneak your brother out and we could go. He'd be safe and so would we. No more choosing sides, no more responsibilities, screw everyone else, just us."
And didn't that sound so fucking perfect? She thinks. But she couldn't ask that of Bellamy. Couldn't ask him to abandon his people and his sister for her. And she couldn't encourage him to do something that he would only regret in the long run.
Reluctantly Enyo said the words that she'd one day later regret, "Bellamy we can't. As much as I want that we'd only regret it for not being here when they need us."
Contemplating her next words, she didn't say them until she was sure it was the truth, "but helping your people is the right thing to do. And I'll stay as long as you need me to. Abe loves the idea of living in your camp anyway."

This time Bellamy was stunned and didn't know how to voice that he wants her to stay. He's glad that they are. And he's never needed someone like he needs her. Placing her hand on his, she squeezes to reassure him and it says what they both know, "I'll stay with you."

....
Later, after having both returned to camp with the guns, Enyo had cocked up her scheming plan to free Bellamy from the rest of the sky peoples leader in the sky. Whilst Bellamy cut into his speech that, "Enyo and Abraham are with us now. They've been helping us from the beginning and you all know that now. Treat them like they're our people. Anyone has a problem with that can come to me."

Bellamy went to get Clarke to help him achieve his plan when Enyo caught up with Octavia who was sat with Abe.
"I now owe you two favours." Enyo confirmed to Octavia after hearing about Lincolns escape. Octavia blushed thinking back to her kiss with him and shoved Abraham lightly when he mimicked a kissing noise. After distracting clarke by giving her the jobi nuts, Abraham had seen the kiss and fake pulked which broke the two apart, smiling. Enyo laughed at the story finally feeling like herself in her new home.

Clarke and Bellamy were heading into the comms tent to talk with Jaha when Clarke called over to Enyo. They sat down and put the headsets on whilst Enyo stood behind them, watching and observing the man that Bellamy had shot.
"Mr Blake...ive been wanting to speak with you for some time now." Jaha spoke when Clarke interupted him.
"Jaha, i vouch for Bellamy. He's the reason we're all still here...still alive. So before you do, there's someone who wants to say something." That was Enyo's queue as she took clarkes place, next to Bellamy.
"I appreciate your point of view clarke but its not that simple." Cutting off when he saw the infamous grounder that was helping the criminal kids. Jaha was shocked, analysing what he could see of her through the screen. She seemed like she had a lot to say as her face became unreadable.

"It is actually. The way i see it is you have two choices." And the authority in her voice stuns everyone in the tent, "grant Bellamy immunity from any and all crimes, including shooting you and the culling, and he will tell you who gave him the gun. Or you don't pardon him and we won't tell you and whoever wants you dead up there will soon get what they want."

Jaha seemed to think about this for a moment but Enyo wasn't done,"and if you do grant him immunity but then change your mind as soon as the rest of you get down here, then we are going to have a big problem. These kids would follow Bellamy and Clarke anywhere and you need their help if you want to survive down here. So you need them more than they need you. And make no mistake, if anyone attempts to hurt Bellamy, on your orders or not, will answer to me. And yes that is a threat."

Bellamy had been watching her throughout her speech and his heart almost melted at the protectiveness in her words. He'd never had someone that would do that for him. Clarke wasn't as surprised as she would've thought, given that something had clearly happened out their today and there was something between these two that caused Clarke to smile. At least now Bellamy had someone to take care of him for once. Jaha spoke up through the silence and pardoned Bellamy on the exception of the name of the person ;shumway.

Bellamy's body sagged in relief and Enyo squeezed his hand to assure him that its real, he's officially free. Her hand was small, soft and full of reassurance and Bellamy's calloused hands clung to that. Clarke stayed with Jaha as she updated him on the day trip to the bunker and what Enyo and Bellamy found. Enyo was walking to the dropship when Bellamy called out to her, "theres room in my tent if you dont wanna share the dropship with the others." His offer was genuine as his was the biggest tent with the most comfiest blankets. Enyo smiled but shook her head, saying she needed to stay with her brother to keep an eye on him. But she couldn't resist to tease him, "besides, if we shared a tent i wouldn't be able to keep my hands to myself."

Bellamy chuckled, shaking his head as he walked over to his tent. "See you tomorrow then sunshine."
Enyo flipped him off with a glare, which held no heat as a smile was on her face. Bellamy didn't even try to dampen his smile as he got to his tent. Didn't even think of a reason why he should. But it was quickly wiped off when he saw a girl in his tent. Bree was her name. He'd slept with her and Roma before he realised his sister was missing and given everything that's happened since, he didnt want a repeat. He didnt need to sleep with anyone to make himself feel better, or relieve stess and he just purely didnt want to. He said as much to Bree as gently and respectfully as he could, asking her to tell the other girls too that his tent was strictly off limits as he needed to focus on leading the camp.

After she left he tugged off his shirt and pants, his body exhausted as he climbed into the pile of blankets. Bellamy never would've expected that he'd turn down some girls to have fun with, but today was filled with surprises. Just like how he went on the day trip with Enyo not too sure if she could still be the enemy or his friend. Now the answer was clear but Bellamy was completely out of it to remember that he went to sleep with a smile on his face thinking about her. Or that he kept mumbling "sunshine." in his sleep.

Authors note: i can't believe how many reads my story has! Thanks so much for reading, this is my first fic. I wouldn't mind if anyone wanted to comment what they thought and maybe some predictions on the next couple of chapters, if you want :)
