3rd person POV. . . . . . . . .
Darkness. Enyo's bleary eyes tried to stay open as each time she was somewhere different. The woods, a tunnel, and now a room with no one but the mountain men. Pain. She felt the slight drousiness of whatever drug they gave her, the pricks of more needles going into her skin and gagging as they inject something down her throat, the harsh brush as they hose her down with boiling water and scub her skin raw. Enyo doesnt scream, doesnt shout, and barely lets herself grunt at their actions. She lets them do whatever they want as the guards dont even tagg her, just dragg her away further into the heart of hell. She's injected again, wearing only her grounder bra bindings and boxer shorts, and the last thing she sees is the name tagg "Emerson" and his face smiling cruelly down at her.

.................

"Maun-de ste heri." The mountain is dangerous. Echo states from where she sits in her cage, openly staring at Enyo's tired form.
"Nou ouksa, domas." No shit, sherlock. Enyo rasps back, head still swirling from being drained of blood. As soon as she awoke, Echo had glared and said that they'd pulled her into the room a couple of hours ago, hung her upside down and drained her, and then shoved her in the cage next to hers.

Other grounders in the cages haven't stopped talking to each other since Enyo arrived, immediately recognising her. A few tried to talk to her from the other side of her cage but Enyo just sat there, quiet and not even thinking about anything. She was here, finally inside with the people that murdered her brother, that have done such sins yet now she wasn't even sure this is what she wants. Deep down, she knows that killing them wont change whats happened but another part of her, not the logical side or even the emotional... but her soul...the darkest part of it knows that she will enjoy seeing them die, will feel better if they're no longer here.

There's a dull thud from inside the room and Enyo doesnt even bother to pick up her head until she hears the footsteps approach.
"Get up, its time to go. Told you I'd come back for you." Bellamy says to Echo as he enters the cage room and unlocks her door. She is still weak so he helps pull her out. "Come on out. Your people are marching on mount weather. Right now."

Enyo's eyes open immediately and she turns her head to see where the familiar voice came from, watching him as her dark heart starts beating again. Once he knows Echo can stand, Bellamy moves to unlock Enyo's cage, unaware of who she is as he opens the door and reaches in to pull her out. Enyo feels his big hands on her waist and she lets him pull her out of the shadows of the cage, and out into the luminescent lights as she stands on her feet.

Bellamy is about to pull away from the small grounder when he sees that although her damp, muddy hair appears dark, it is actually auburn underneath. His heart stops for a beat until she looks up at him and he has to freeze from his feet that were going towards the other cage. His hands are still on her waist and hers are resting on his forearms, both close but in that moment not close enough.

"Enyo? What the hell are you doing here?" He demanded, still trying to gather the fact that she was here with him when she shouldnt be. He was glad to see her but given the circumstances and the way she looks, he wished he hadnt seen her until this is over. He let his eyes wander quickly given the small time frame. She had some mud in her wet hair, with only her underwear on her curvy frame, and a protruding blue bruise on her cheek. As well as bandages on her arms which are a sign that she was drained of her blood, which Bellamy internally curses at.

Enyo lets herself smile for the first time in days with the pure relief of seeing him. "Hey, Bell." She whispers, a little breathless.
She didnt even bother to sass back at him so his eyes search hers that to Bellamy look like she's been crying, he is picking up on so many things that worry him yet he gets annoyed with himself that he doesn't have the time to ask.

"You okay?" Bellamy asks, because there isn't anything that could stop him from checking at least a little bit. He's missed her. He reminds himself to ask further when this is over.
Enyo swallows, thinks about answering honestly but what good would that do? They need to stay as focused as possible and Bellamy would just hover over her to protect her from getting hurt more than she already is.
"I'm fine." She declares, although she's never been less fine in her entire life. "You good?"
Bellamy smile is a little forced, he knows she's lying and he understands why. He does the same thing. "Im fine." But then he looks down into those familiar hazel eyes, cant help but skim his fingers tenderly against her bruised cheek when he adds. "Better now."

Enyo leans into his fingers for a fraction of a second before pulling away, her walls up around her heart and within her eyes but she does her best to hide the change not wanting to hurt Bellamy's feelings. Echo watches their interaction with interest, sees so much in so little words yet she instantly noticed that when sky boy Bellamy showed Enyo a little warmth, her guard came up.

"Listen to me there's an army inside this room. And i need you to help me get them ready to fight. Can you do that?" Bellamy asks them both to which she nods. Echo ensures the others that they can trust him while Bellamy unlocks more cages.
As the other caged grounders see people being released, they start yelling, shaking their cages, desperate for freedom.
"Too much noise." Bellamy warns them while Echo reaches into another cage to get a grounder out and Enyo nods, automatically stepping up.
She goes towards the centre of where all the cages are towered in a semi circle. She looks up at all of them with the glare of a thousand suns and raises her voice to be cold. "Shof op!" Be quiet!

This was all she had to say for them to drop deathly quiet, silent except for the rattling of Bellamy's stolen keys. Echo isn't surprised that they listened to her, she's heard the rumours while she was spying in Polis. Bellamy glances at the altercation but doesnt have time to dwell on it.

Bellamy starts explaining the plan to Echo and Enyo until he is interupted by a sqreeching of the mountains speakers, Cage's voice creeping through. "Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do. We've done these things for one reason: so that our people can someday return to the ground...that day is today."
Enyo snarls up at the ceiling, over my dead body.
"He's going public." Bellamy mutters, eyes wide with fear.
The more Cage continues, the more panicked Bellamy becomes and Enyo can feel it radiating off him in waves as if nothings changed between them.

Bellamy grabs Echos hand and shoves the keys into it. "Here, I'll be back."
Enyo quickly follows him alongside Echo who seems nervous to be left out of the plan. "Where are you going?" She demands.
"He is getting his people to turn on eachother. They'll find my friends, i have to bring them here now. I'll send them in groups, you get your people ready to go but you wait for me to come back. Understand?" Bellamy replies to Echo in a rush.
Enyo watches as he goes back over to the vent from where he came and Echo as she stops him. "Thank you."
Bellamy barely takes the offered gratefulness just like Enyo knew he wouldn't. "You free your people and protect ours when they get here." He says as he nods over to Enyo when he says the word ours. "We can thank eachother when we're all outside."
Moving to crawl into the vent, he hesitates before leaving and Enyo goes over to him like she knows he wants her to.
"Go save our friends. I'll save them." She assures gesturing to her caged people.
Clenching his jaw he nods. "I got this." To himself and for her.
"I know." She says like its the one thing that she ultimately believes in.

................

"What about the intruder?" Cage asks Emerson after his speech, watching the army of grounders outside on the screens. They cant do anything about the outside threat until they deal with the inside one.
"He's still at large sir. We're doing everything we can-" Emerson is cut off by Cage throwing paper off the desk in anger.
"45!" He shouts, stating how many sky people are left inside. "Go door to door."

Emerson looks up at him with a slight glint in his eye. "We might not have to. We have some new leverage left now."
"The grounder girl that you mentioned?" Cage asked, his lips twitching up as if someone was pulling the strings.
Emerson nods. "I put her in the cage after draining her a bit. She should be awake now."
Cage thinks it over carefully. "From what we've seen and heard from the remaining 44 she was close to them. She cares about them."
"And they care about her. I think its time to see how much." Emerson adds, plotting.
"What makes you so sure that its her they were talking about without knowing this one's name?" Cage questions even though he's smiling.
Emerson looks up at the screens and then at his president. "Because she has the hair of fire."

..................

"Small window." Millers dad, a member of the guard, states in regard to having 1 minute to blow the main door after Raven blows up some of the dam. "Why not have Raven blow the back up generator too? Bellamy's inside have him do it."

"Leaving them without power for that long would kill them all." Clarke answers in Lexas command tent. "And as i said, thats not the mission. Besides we lost contact with Bellamy." She gulps, afraid she's responsible for yet another one of her close friend's death.
"What? We did? when?" Monroe asks, worried for her leader's life as she was loyal to Bellamy and looked up to him.
Clarke turns to look at her, not showing her emotions and bottling them up. "After he took out the acid fog."

"What about Enyo? Wasn't she supposed to go in if this happened?" Monroe worries for yet another one of her leader's.
Clarke stares her panic down. She doesn't know what happened to Enyo for sure, they sent Lincoln to scout for her tracks when he came back and he said that she was nowhere to be found. They assumed she'd been taken by the mountain.
"We assume thats where she is." Clarke answers as honestly as she can.
"Assume?" Millers dad and Monroe say in unison.
Clarke and Lexa share a look. "Enyo and Bellamy are warriors, they'll be fine."

..................

Echo had unlocked the last of the cages while Enyo had grabbed a metal pipe from one of the machines and climbed to the cages at the top, near the ceiling. She'd pried the locks open and helped the weak climb down. Now they were all stood in the room, together as one group. Thats when Enyo looked around, saw that they all looked the same. At this moment they werent from different clans, they were just working together to survive. They all looked the same, they'd been through the same, drained and weak, covered in bandages. Enyo realised this wasnt about her avenging her brother, not just that anyway, this was about them. About all of her people dead and alive.

"Du laik skaikru."she is skaikru. Echo spits when one of the other grounders tries to talk to Enyo.
Upon the realisation that this isnt just about her brother, Enyo doesnt feel the need to sass back. "Echo we're all in this together now. Like it or not what i do is for all of us. Maun-de ste heri." The mountain is doomed.
Sudden thuds and footsteps are heard from outside the door and the grounders all begin to get a little ansty. Some cowered back a little in fear, others step forward pissed at the mountain men.

"Maunon ste comba."mountain men coming. Whispers through the group of them as Echo and Enyo take up the front.
"Emo don teik oso oraun." They have us surrounded. Others whisper and its true. Not all of them would be able to crawl through the vent in time to escape.
Echo listens to the voices intently. "They're talking about you." She says to Enyo.
Every grounder in the room looks at the redhead. But for once her face doesnt go red from attention, she doesnt care about that, what she cares about now is making sure that these people actually survive. She feels the maternal instinct to keep them safe and the only way to do that until Bellamy comes back to save them is to give herself up.

"Get everyone back in their cages. Dont lock them just make sure they have the padlocks and act like you're all still trapped." Enyo rushes out to Echo. The grounder spy looks at the girl, sees the determination and fire with her loyalty.
Enyo turns to adress all of them. "You heard me, hide in them until Bellamy returns. Its the only way you'll all still live."
As they stumble back and hurriedly climb back to their cages, Echo remains at her side until they're all hidden.
"Wait for Bellamy. I'll deal with them." Enyo tells her, making sure everyone is safely back in their confines.
Echo watches her side profile. "Your here to kill them."
"What makes you say that?" Enyo asks seeing all eyes in the room on her.
"Thats what you do." Echo shrugs.
Enyo knows it to be true, but she's tired of this. Feels too much blood on her hands just because she can spill it there. "But its not all i am. I swear to all of you that those who harmed you will burn by my hand."

Echo climbs back in her cage with Enyo's help, a small form of trust between them as all of them watch Enyo climb back into hers. For the door to burst open with a few guards who immediately retches open Enyo's cage and drags her out. When the other guards glance around the room, Enyo starts to pointedly put up a fight to make sure all of their attention is on her. And it works. She is dragged out of the room by the mountain men and all grounders, from all different clans watch as she gives her life, her last fight for them. A sacrifice that represents a great deal to them, if death has no cost life has no worth. Their respect and views of her change as the last glimpse is of her fire.

..................

Enyo is held between three guards as they trudge towards a door they were directed to. She'd heard through the radio that she was being used as a ploy to get the delinquents to surrender themselves. One guard started asking the woman questions but when that wasnt enough they pulled Enyo into the room.

"You have five seconds to come out before i pull the trigger." The guard shouts as the other two begin searching through the room of the woman's compartment. "Five." More insistent rummaging. "Four." Enyo tips up her chin as best she can with the guards arm wrapped around her neck. "Three." He cocks the gun, bullet falling into the chamber of the gun with her name on it. "Two...one."
"Wait! Stop!" Six delinquents appear from their hiding place with their hands up, Monty among them. They werent about to let Enyo die for them, refuse to risk her life even a litle bit.

The two guards round them up but Enyo isnt having it, wont let them die especially when the guards talk about heading into the Cage room. Making the snap decision, she looks to the delinquents and they see her warning look that says, I'll distract, you guys run.
And when they gave the smallest of nods Enyo twists and pushes back against the headlock, making the guard tumble back. She hears struggles behind her and idly sees that her friends are putting up their own fight. The guard goes to attack her, but she lunges herself, jumping up so her legs are around his neck and when she twists, he falls down with her. He falls outside the compartment and into the corridor where Monty runs out and into the vent across from them. Still struggling, Enyo and the guard struggle for power as he reaches for his gun on the ground but everything changes when she lets him overpower her, face the gun at her head until she moves at the last second when he pulls the trigger. In his one second of shock she twists the gun around in his hand so when he pulls the trigger on reflex again, he shoots himself in the face.

Hearing voices over the radio, and sees the two guards that have overpowered her friends she does something no grounder has ever done before...she picks up the gun and shoots. She only manages to shoot one until the other starts raining fire at her through the doorway and as she runs back towards the inside army that is the only thing that can help her now,gun in hand. The delinquents know she'll be back for them as they kick and scream their way as more guards come.

Enyo runs down the corridors, idly remembering Bellamy's routes from Clarke's map. She turns to see the mount weather medical ward and goes through the door, pistol raised like she's seen Bellamy, the delinquents and the mountain men guards weild it. The room appears empty so she skillfully climbs up into the vent that leads into the caged room with the grounders. She rushes through them, which is ultimately the mistake that stays with her, so keen to save them that she ends up not being patient enough. The bangs of her through the vents are enough to give her away as she sees a guard eye into the vents opening that she has yet to remove. The guards eyes widen as she points the pistol at him through it, shooting him between the eyes in point blank range that the shot echoes, defeaning.

Now that she has already been exposed shots are fired at her and she ducks further down onto her stomach, arms over her head to protect herself as she shoots back whenever she can. The ultimate click of her pistol gives away that she can no longer protect herself, but she figures thats pointless anyway. They're in the room with the army of grounders doing whatever they want with them, she needs to keep them safe.

"Hold your fire." A creepy voice orders and Enyo's skin crawls. Suddenly, he must have signaled something because the vent was ripped open and multiple arms hauled her out, she kicked and struggled but their grips just tightened. She was pulled to the middle of the room and she saw all of the grounders standing in a group with guns pointed at them from other guards. She sees president Cage come to stand in front of her.

"A grounder using a gun? Thats a first." Cage chuckles mirthless.
Enyo growls in response. "Why, afraid you cant win if we use them? It means more protection for my people."
Cage nods, smirking in a way that makes someone cringe. "Your people being skaikru or the grounders?"
"Both. Whichever i chose." Enyo spits and then actually spits on his face and shiny boots.
That doesnt seem to bode well with him as he makes a face between rage and disgust, stpping closer as the guards grip turns bruising.

"You've killed three of my people without a shred of mercy...its only fair that you get the same treatment." Cage says before pulling out a sophisticated knife and lodging it in her sternum, peircing her chest and she can feel the blood trikling out of the wound. Cage starts to move the blade, and she swears she can almost feel the tip rubbing up against her heart. His smile turns dark as Enyo grits her teeth, groaning and gasping in pain.

Cage stops moving the blade around but keeps it in place with his hand still holding on as he speaks to her. Loud enough for the other grounders, who are all watching with angered eyes and open mouths, to hear. "Was this worth it? Killing my people just for you to die now?"
Enyo groans, takes a few short pain filled breaths before she can even think to answer. "Y-yes. Because it was-... never for me. Its for them. They're worth dying for-." She breaks off not being able to talk anymore with her head swirling, lightheaded.
Cage rips out the knife and the guards that held her, let her drop to her knees, her hands putting as much pressure on the stabb wound as possible as she gives out laboured breaths. "Then your dying for them now." Cage replies as he nods for Emerson and the group of guards to start carting out the grounders for their deal with the commander. The grounders all look down at the dying Enyo when they walk past, grateful for her sacrifice and guilty that they questioned her loyalties to them over skaikru.

The room becomes empty and its then that Enyo see the other body on the floor near her. She doesn't recognise this man but if they killed him then he was one of the good ones that had been helping her friends. Gasping, she lies on her right side and uses that arm to pull her over to him, closing his grey eyes as she rolls away near the cages, determined to try and hold on for as long as she can.

...............

"They know about the grounders." Monty says gravely, coming out from his hiding place to see Bellamy, Jasper and Maya.
"Thats why i didnt do anything to save the others...i let them kill Mrs Ryan, let Enyo try to protect them." He continues berating himself.
Bellamy and Jasper still have their guns up. "What do you mean they know about the grounders? Wheres Enyo?" Bellamy asks.
"It was on their radio. They're going for the harvest chamber, Enyo went there before they did." Monty responds, been emotionally scarred so much.

Bellamy runs towards the harvest chamber with Jasper dragging Monty behind him and Maya following behind them. Maya opens the door once they get there, so Bellamy and Jasper can go in first. Maya sees her father's body, runs over to crouch beside him as she sobbs her heart out. Jasper moves beside her to offer as much support as he can. Bellamy looks up at all of the cages, sees that they're all empty and something happened to make them all dissappear without a trace of a struggle or blood. Thats when his eyes catch on the only other puddle of red in the room, where yet another body is curled on the floor.

Bellamy's heart lurches as he sees the red hair, drops his gun and drops to her side so he can pull her close to his chest. His large tan fingers search for a pulse, finding one but barley there and he breathes out a ragged sigh of relief.
"Enyo? Enyo can you hear me? Come on sunshine not like this...please." Bellamy begs, something that he has never done like this before.
Monty runs over when he sees who Bellamy is cradling. "En? Enyo?" He asks as he moves the hair out of her pale face.
Bellamy looks at the wound, his eyes widening when he sees that it could've struck her heart. He places his large hand over it, applying all of his strength onto it as if his life depends on it.

"Maya, Maya please she's hardly breathing." Bellamy begs the broken girl near her own loved one. She looks up at them through her distraught and tears, sees their desperation and looks at Jasper who is staring at the dying girl in fear. She's lost her father in this war, she isnt planning on letting her friends lose someone they care about if she can help it.

Authors note: so yeah this chapter is now completed. The next one should be up on Thursday night because i am going to be very busy and tired until then. Let me know if you guys like this chapter and what you thought of Enyo's fate. Do you think she'll make it or will i end the book here? Let me know your theories or predictions for the next chapter...it definitely has a moment for Enyo to show she can be both cruel yet badass. X lexi_denglish guzman_4life jxssicxlxvx
