3rd person POV. . . . . . . .
Enyo stays with Lincoln in the ark, where he's requested to be restrained. She knew that by now Lexa will have made her offer for peace in exchange for Finn, so she knew what would be happeneing outside as soon as Clarke returns. Differnce of opinions, possible fights and the enevitablity of them trying to find a way to fight it. Lincoln knows that what happened at the village, after being caught up on it by Octavia, wouldnt be ignored by the commander too. Abraham didnt know a thing, still sitting next to Lincoln, gushing about everything he'd learned from Raven and how amazing she is.

Clarke's entrance made Enyo roll her eyes, she was here to fight for the murderer. As Clarke asked about the restraints, Enyo pulled her brother to the side."Go find Reyes. Stay with her okay?" She ordered.
"Why cant i stay with, Linc? We just got him back." Abraham asked, slightly mad about being treated like a kid.
"Abe." Enyo warned, motherly tone.
"En." Abraham mocked. She shoved him out of the room and he grumbled whilst walking away to find Raven.

"You two need to tell us, is there a way to make peace?" Abby asked Enyo and Lincoln as soon as she joined his side.
"Did she leave riders behind?" He asked Enyo who nodded.
Abby frowned. "Two just outside the gate."
"And they will continue to wait until they get Finn." Enyo replied, no remorse for the situation in her tone.
"You wont have much time to decide." Lincoln warned in the same tone.
Octavia shook her head, walking over to stand beside them. "She cant expect us to just hand over one of our own people."
"She can actually." Enyo cut in, bored.
"Would she do that?" Octavia asked Lincoln.
"She wouldnt let the rest of her people die to protect a murderer." He replied. "If you dont do this she will kill everyone in this camp."
"There has to be something else that we can offer." Abby attempts desperately.
Enyo had heard enough, letting her cold tone strike everyone. "Finn took 18 lives. He WILL be brought to justice for it."
"The commanders offering to take just one in return take the deal." Lincoln continues.

Clarke unfolds her arms, shaking her head in disbelief at them. "How can you say that? Finn was the first person to come to you to offer peace. He's your friend."
Lincoln didnt waver on his opinion. "He massacred my village. Some of the dead were my friend too."
"But that wasnt Finn." Clake denies.
"Really? It sure looked like him." Enyo snarked, pissed that they werent listening.
"You know thats not who he is." Clarke tells them desperate.
"It is now. We've all got a monster inside of us Clarke. And we're all responsible for what it does when we let it out." Lincoln replies, talking about himself too and his reaper side.

"What will they do to him?" Abby asks, not really wanting to know.
"Fire. Cause he killed the innocent it starts with fire." Lincoln replies, remembering all the times he'd witnessed it for himself.
"Starts?" Clarke asks, mortified.
Lincoln carries on, remembering how he'd witnessed one a couple years back in their village. "They'll take his hands. His tongue. His eyes. Then everyone who grieves will have a turn with their knives. Sunrise the commander will end it with her sword... ive never know anyone to survive until the sword."
"He killed 18. He will suffer the pain of 18 deaths. Just be grateful it wasnt more than that." Enyo advises them coldly, crossing her arms. She knows she'll have to talk to Clarke about her own experience with this later.
"Then we can have peace." Lincoln finishes for her.

.............

Enyo sees Abraham and Raven have found eachother in passing and before they can see her she ducks away, intent on getting the job done herself. If they wont hand Finn over then she will. She knows that skaikru wont shoot her, that Bellamy wont let them, and as much as she hates playing on that, this has to be done. Finn needs to answer for his crimes and once he's dead, peace can be achieved.

She sees Clarke entering a tent where Finn could be and follows to listen from the outside. They wouldnt have much longer left to give him up without blood being spilt. She hears voices from inside.
"You were trying to save us." Clarke's voice.
"I was trying to save you. Im in love with you. Everything thats happened, everything ive done, all that matters is that you'll be okay." Finns voice.

Enyo rollls her eyes, tired of Finns bullshit. But before she can do anything her people start chanting blood must have blood. She couldnt agree more. During the chanting commotion and Marcus' return Enyo follows Finn into the ark station. If she cant get to him physically then maybe mentally she can.
"So this is your plan? Let everyone die for you first and then you die anyway?" Enyo snarks jogging up next to him as he walks through the corridors.
He stops looks at her. "i was going to run."
Enyo scoffs. "Only you should die for what you've done. Not everyone else. You want to protect Clarke? Then do the right thing and hand yourself over to them."
Finn watches her, not feeling able to defend himself.
Enyo shakes her head at him in disgust. "You act like Bellamy and Murphy are assholes? Yet your the one playing prince charming to get into Clarke's pants when you had an amazing, badass girlfriend already. You say you thought you wouldn't see her again, then you shouldve been mourning the genius Raven Reyes then sleeping with someone else. You're just a fuckboy who needs someone to need him. Well if you really love them then do something to prove it."

With that she stalks away, back down the corridor towards the entrance. She hopes she's done enough to get him to surrender, if not then she'll find another way to give him to them. She feels the loss of her people, even if they werent exactly on good terms, she'd grown up with them. Knew them. They were her family too and the fact that Finn could just strutt around, alive and breathing, was making her even more pissed.

"Hey you seen Finn?" Bellamy asked her, standing in front of her so she'd come to a stop.
Enyo crossed her arms. "Hopefully soon at deaths door."
Bellamy frowned, narrowing his eyes at her. "You cant seriously agree with this?"
Enyo stares at him evenly, gaze not wavering even when his expression changed to utter betrayal, his eyes hardening the more he looks at her.
"He needs to die Bellamy. This only ends one way and war isnt the smart way to do this." Enyo spits out.
Bellamy steps closer to her in warning. Once again feeling like they're on opposite sides from different worlds. "You said the same thing about Lincoln and you were wrong. And your wrong about this too."
"No im not. This is what we all deserve, Finn needs to die, jus drien jus doun, blood must have blood. If i have to deliver him to them to get the justice we want then i will." She says fiercely, stubborn.
Bellamy is hurt by the choice she's made, reminded that maybe they cant be friends after all. Not if she believes so much in this violence.
Walking away, letting his hurt take over he spits back at her. "No wonder your sick of killing people you love when you dont stop doing it. Once a grounder always a grounder."

As she turns to watch him walk away she sees Abraham and Raven stood close by, listening. Raven follows Bellamy, shoving Enyo's shoulder as she passes and leaves the two grounder siblings alone. Abraham grabs Enyo's arm and pulls her into the engineering room, motioning for Wick to leave with a scowl. The older man takes some of his project he's working on and closes the door behind him, leaving them alone.

Abraham turns is back to his sister as he talks. "So much for doing the right thing."
"This is the right thing, Abe. Its justice." Enyo responds.
"No its revenge. Violence. Why do our people always respond immediately with violence?" Abraham asks rhetorical.
His voice has taken on a slight frustrated high pitched tone, still rambling. "First with Jasper, then picking the hundred off one by one, the battle at the dropship and now?"
Enyo steps closer to her brother who still wont face her, gets hurt when he stepps further forward away from her. He's serious about this. "Abe, this isnt about skaikru, this has been done to our people too."
"Exactly!" He spins around, his tears falling down his cheeks catching her attention. "When does the circle of violence end? Its been happening for years but nothings changing! So maybe we should fuck the way we do things!"

"Its bullshit!" He continues, still trying to make his sister understand. "Sometimes terrible things happen to create better things. To change. We've just been doing it wrong! You said you dont follow orders, then think about this the way you do. Is this right? The constant violence?"

Enyo watches him, thinks and soaks in his words. Their people always did jump straight to violence, let their anger and rage control their judgment and play it off as seeking justice. But this is the way they've always done things, cant imagine trying something else. The rage and darkness was who Enyo was deep down, the person she use to be and the person she still can be at times. Changing the way she sees their people's views would mean changing herself, becoming someone different. Someone less quick to jump to violence and kill someone who threatened her, who wouldnt growl and think dark thoughts. Who wouldnt jump straight to death for makin mistakes. This would mean giving people second chances, Enyo had never really been that type. Her people's ways had formed who she was, take that away and she would have to find herself without them. It wasn't a problem when she was younger, she was rebellious by nature but after Kayla, she'd been more susceptible to orders. Or maybe she was being submissive. Letting her views and her true self be locked away with her heart. Violence has always been their way, never mercy. She could still be whoever she wants to be but Bellamy's right, she didnt believe in skaikrus way to save Lincoln, instead jumping straight to her peoples ways. She could've killed him when there had been a way to save him, like her father couldve been saved. She could still be who she was just less ruthless, act on what she believes is right instead of her people's ways of violence.

"You saved Jasper. You did the right thing then, do the right thing now." Abraham mumbled, thinking he hadnt talked her over and walked out. Before he can leave she wraps her arms around him, tugging him into her chest.
"I hear you." She whispers.
Enyo thinks back to everything she's been through, everything she's overcome...and yeah maybe this is who she is; the revolutionary.
.................

She sneaks out with the help of Abraham switching of the fence at Raven's gate, letting her sneak out to find the others who undoubtedly went to the dropship. She runs like her life depends on it, knowing the specific places to avoid her people where she runs. Faster and faster until she hears a war cry from somwhere up ahead, she sees Finn pointing the gun at another grounder until he runs away and Enyo runs up to them. When Finn points the gun at her, shocked for a moment, she holds her hands up in surrender, cocking her eyebrow unimpressed. Normally she wouldve held her own weapon out at him. She sees Clarke on the ground and checks her breathing, with the help of Finn, they each grab and arm around their shoulders and carry her to the dropship.

"What happened?" Bellamy greets them when he see the two of them carry an unconscious Clarke in the dropship. They lay her down as Finn paces and Raven comforts him. Enyo rips some of her shirt and puts pressure on the head wound Clarke had received from the grounder.
"Murphy you got any water to get the cloth wet?" She asks him and he emtpies some of his canteen onto her ripped off piece of shirt.
"Thanks." She murmurs as she takes it from him and gently dabbs Clarke's head, the unconscious girl mumbling in response.
She feels the tense silence with Bellamy so close and clearly looking at her. "Im sorry for what i said. You were right, our ways are wrong. I have questioned them myself before, rebelled against them but not like today."
Bellamy's silent for so long she doesn't think he'd respond but he does, wary of her. "Whats so different now?"
"My brother reminded me of who i use to be before i became like this. Kicked my ass in the right place." She smiled, small and glanced at him to see him searching to see if it was true.
She looked him in the eye, earnest. "Cut me some slack Blake. I grew up thinking one way my entire life im not saying im completely on board on either side just...give me some time for me to find myself again. Ruthless violence and blind religion has always been our way."
He stares until hes found whatever he was looking for and his eyes soften as he nods.

Enyo thinks back toher brothers words again, still tending to Clarke's head, gentle. Avenge is not the same as revenge. Avenge is more to dowith seeking justice while revenge is more seeking harm. Her people had always tried to justify their need fo revenge saying its avenging the dead, its their ways, their religion. But its just turning them all into raging sociopaths with blood constantly on their minds resulting with blood on their hands. If they were to deal with Finn or anyone the right way then they would put him on trial, maybe sentencing him to death. But her people have decided to take it personal and kill him themselves, murdering the murderer.

Raven and Finn enter the dropship, and Enyo moves to let them take care of Clarke while she keeps watch outside. Murphy goes to the upper level for a birds eye view and Bellamy follows her out of the dropship. Its quiet for a while, she knows the atmosphere between them is still tense but she's said all she can say to let him know that she's on their side. She's unsure of how it will end though, cant really see a good way out of this but Bellamy probably knows that for himself too. Keeping her eyes on the trees, she takes her bow of her shoulder slowly, taking an arrow out of her quiver and placing it on the bow.
"Bellamy, they're here." She warns lowly, both of them crouche behind some parts of the aftermath of the ring of fire.
He nods, looking around them and seeing the numbers of grounders multiply. "We've got company out here." He shouts to the others.
Clarke comes out of the dropship, seems shocked for a second of Enyo's presence but crouches down beside her. Realising the same thing they have, "We're surrounded."

They went back into the dropship quickly to the others, trying to form a plan. Everyone's unease was displayed all over their faces, not knowing what do to next. They could create a distraction so Finn could get away, but whoevers left behind would die or be used as leverage. And even then, they cant run forever. They would eventually run out of bullets, and more grounders would come.

"They're not moving any closer." Murphy observed sneaking a look outside.
"They're staying out of range." Bellamy corrected sneaking a glance himself.
Enyo shook her head. "They're waiting for nightfall. Once its dark they'll attack."
Clarke and Murphy bicker until Raven mumbles up. "We'll give them something."
"All they want is Finn." Bellamy cut in confused.
"Finn wasnt the only one at the village." Raven says catching Murphys attention.
As Ravens true intentions of bringing Murphy became clear she raised her gun at him. "Enough grounders saw him at the village, they'd believe he wss the shooter! They want a murderer we'll give them one."

Enyo steps in front of Murphy, shaking her head fiercely ordering everyone to be quiet for a minute. "Enough!"
She looks Raven in the eye, not afraid of the gun pointed at her. "Raven listen to me okay? You wanted me to see the better, that what my people are doing is wrong and i hear you okay? But you cant say one thing for Finn and another for Murphy."
"Why not he deserves it." Raven spits at her gun still pointed.
Enyo looks at her in earnest. "Raven i told you about Kayla didnt i? This was how she died, she massacred my village too, killed more than Finn did. I know what your going through believe me, i do. I made out that i wanted her dead but i didnt, i was just heart broken at what she did and that i was one of the people to take turns torturing her."
Everyone watches her, Raven's plan wavering. "I watched her get tortured for hours, got her blood on my hands, her screams of pain etched into my memories forever...believe me you do not want that even for Murphy."

Then stepping closer so the gun is poking her directly in the chest. "This isnt the way. We will figure this out together so you dont have to know how i felt but we're not handing over Murphy. Even if he is a twat."

Raven lowers the gun, shoving her tears away with her jacket sleeve, avoiding Enyo's eye. Enyo sighs casting a look back at the relieved and possibly grateful John Murphy. Clarke holds back her own emotions at the story, hits closer to home than she realised. Bellamy watches Enyo, never hearing the story before and understanding on why she felt so strongly. Finn steps closer to Raven, gaining everyone's attention.
"The only thing we can do is stay and defend this place. Murphy go upstairs, watch the rear. I'll take the lower level, you three" speakig to Bellamy, Clarke and Raven, "take the front gate. Enyo can climb to the top of the dropship and use her bows and arrows. Thats the plan, alright?"

Everyone nods taking up their positions of defence, Bellamy watching Enyo climb to see that she gets to the top safely. She does, having climbed cliffs and trees all her life this was nothing to her. She crouched low, bow and arrow in hand as she scans the treeline for any further movement. Murphy watches from his view, gun in hand while the other three are crouched on the ground spotting movement in a rustling of the bushes.
"Someone's coming." Clarke warns them.
Bellamy looks up to Enyo for her birds eye view to see who it is. She looks, stunned for a moment before she shouts back down to them. "Its Finn!"
"No! FINN!" Clarke screams but its no use. Grounders swarm him, left, right and centre and drag him away.

Enyo climbs down quickly, jumps the last part and goes to the three of them. They all looked shocked, but Clarke looks helpess as if she's rying to think of something to do.
"What do we do?" Raven and Clarke asks her in unison as Murphy joins them.
Enyo looks at the four of them and then to the forest where they took Finn. They have him now, there's no way to save him. "There's nothing we can do to save him."
..................

They run back to Camp Jaha, through the cold winter air and alert the Chancellor of everything that's happened. Enyo tells her brother to stay inside the ark with Lincoln and Octavia, not wanting him to see Finn die like this. He storms away not saying a word except, "you were supposed to save him!"
Enyo knows her brother blames her for this and conceals her hurt when Bellamy looks her way. The entire camp stands at the edge of their camp, watching the grounders chant through the fence. No matter how much attempts Raven and Bellamy tried, Abby and Kane shot them down.
"We're gonna get him...we'll get in close and...and we'll hit em hard." Bellamy attempts even though he doesnt sound like he believes it would work.
"Son. There's thousands of them. Even if we could kill hundreds, they would still wipe out this camp and your friend would still die." Marcus answers knowing there's nothing they could do now.
"Abby, we have to do something." Raven begs her to which Abby refutes.

Clarke nudges Enyo and nods her head to follow her and after looking at Bellamy she does. He follows close behind thm with Raven.
"What are we doing?" Enyo asks Clarke as she follows her towards the gate.
"Im going to talk to the commander." Clarke answers, emotion seeping through her tone.
"What else do you have to say?" Bellamy asks her as if she's crazy.
"I dont know! I dont know." She says desperately trying to think of a way out of this.
"Clarke-" Enyo starts knowing how the girl must feel.
"Give me your hand." Raven instructs Clarke, sliding a knife up her sleeve. "If she wont let him go, kill her. Things will go crazy and then we'll grab you and Finn. Clarke you have to help him, i owe him my life."
Clarke knows that plan will fail, that she and Finn will die before they could be rescued, especially if she kills the commander. There is no way to save Finn...but maybe she can help him instead.
"Im coming too, I'll keep you safe." Enyo promises her, she knows Clarke. Knows she has a better plan than what Raven suggested through her desperation.

Bellamy opens the gate and lets them out, him knowing there's only one way to help Finn but not sure if that's Clarke's plan. They rejoin everyone at the fence, watching as Enyo and Clarke make their way to the grounders camp. They let them through, carefully searching with their eyes for weapons. Enyo drops hers at their feet as Clarke continues to walk forward.

Indra holds up a spear at Clarke's stomach. Gaze hard at the sky girl at her disrespect to show up when they were about to begin.
"Im here to talk to your commander. Let me through." Clarke gasps through the spears sharp point peircing her stomach a little as Indra holds it more harder when she tries to walk forward.
Enyo catches up to her and sees the blood staining Clarke's top, pulling Clarke back with one hand while moving the spear with her other. She glares at Indra but saysnothing as the commander lets them pass.

"You bleed for nothing. You cannot stop this." Lexa says to Clarke evenly.
"No," Clarke replies lowly, "only you can."
Chants grow louder as Finn is pulled out, tied to the tree looking terrified at Clarke.
"Show my people how powerful you are." Clarke starts thinking of how Enyo has changed her beliefs. "Show them that you can be merciful. Show them your not a savage."
Lexa tips her chin. "We are what we are."
Enyo knows nothing she can say will help change the commanders mind, Lexa doesnt like her anyway so she wouldnt listen. But she notices Lexas expression change at Clarke's next words.
"Then im a killer. I burned three hundred of your people, i slit a mans throat and watched him die. Im soaked in grounder blood, take me."
Lexa looks to Finn then back to Clarke. "But Finn is guilty."
"No! He did it for me! He did it for me." Clarke repeats, her emotions boiling over and Enyo wishes there was something she could do to make it easier for her.
"Then he dies for you." Lexa promises, no remorse in her words.

The chants grow louder again and Lexa watches as Clarke's expression changes, thinking about the knife in her sleeve and the only way to help Finn out of this. "Can i say goodbye?" Clarke asks Lexa weakly to which she nods.
Enyo stays beside Lexa as she and both entire camps watch Clarke kiss and hug Finn goodbye. They watch them talk, and Finn head sags against her and falls as she pulls away to reveal his bloody shirt and a dead Finn.

Everthing silent for minute as they search for the source and see Clarke's knife, bloodstained along with her hands. Lexa watche Enyos reaction and sees that she didnt know about Clarkes plot. The grounders raise their weapons aiming for Clarke and Enyo goes to stand closer to Clarke, between her and them.
"It is done." Lexa stops them andthe words echo across the fields.
Skaikru takes in what she's done, Abby mortified by who her daughter has become, Kane shocked and the rest speechless. Raven is the one that screams and wails for the one she loved. Her screams of inner heart break echo throughout the earth as Clarke brokenly accepts them as her doing. Bellamy cradles the broken girl, mourning himself for his dead friend and whats had to happen.
Enyo turns to Clarke, tears staining her cheeks and blood staining her hands. There was nothing she could say to help, putting her hands on the back of her shoulders and carting her away from the prying eyes and into the silent commanders chambers.

Authors note: this chapter is finally done, hated writting this one it was so difficult than the rest. Not a big fan of Finn but that episode was never my favourite. Next chapter will be up soon and if anyone wants me to tag them when the chapters are published let me know. lexi_denglish xmention a user
