Edited this chapter by adding an argument with some angst...
"Wow, your a woman of her word." Delilah, one of Bree's tent mates, yawned in her post-orgasm bliss, completely and utterly boneless like the two other women in the tent. Enyo smiled continuing to stroke Bree's hair from where she was currently nuzzling her head in Enyo's side. Courtney was already asleep next to Delilah, the latter soon following her lead until all Enyo could hear was the soft snores of her harem. She didnt know how long she'd spent in here, it only felt like minutes but it was probably about two hours given the moonlights reflection over the tent.
Slowly getting up to leave, she used her quiet footsteps with practiced ease, gathering up her clothes that were scattered around the tent. But when she sat on Bree's makeshift bed, pants already on and pulling her boots on next, she felt the blankets move until there were sleepy kisses pressed to her back. She was semi naked, only the bottom half of her body fully clothed. So when Bree's sleepy curious fingers swept over her still healing gashes (that still caused her back stiffness whenever she didnt keep her back straight) and to her small circular burn scars that completely covered the top half of Enyo's back and rised a little onto her shoulders, she wasnt fazed by her next question.
"What are those dot things?"
Keeping her back to Bree and lacing up her boots, she answered honestly. "Its how many people ive killed."
Bree's fingers stopped but she didnt move away. Instead Bree woke up a little more so she could ask. "Why?"
Enyo wasnt good at reading Bree so it wasn't clear to her what she was asking. Why did Enyo kill that many? Why mark it down on her skin of all places?
"There was a war. I killed because it was why they trained me. To be a warrior. One kill means one mark for other grounders. But ive killed a lot so one kill mark means five for me."
The silence that followed clearly meant Bree was counting the marks on her back, but a couple of them were undoubtedly missed out due to the stitched up cuts taking their place. Enyo had laced both boots but made no move to grab her bra bindings or top. She'd never gone through this before. The only people she'd slept with was her dead ex and people in Trikru. But having so many kill marks at such a young age was considered a victory, something to be proud of and worshipped. But skaikru are different. They weren't blood thirsty. She was expecting shock, disgust, maybe even for Bree to kick her out of the tent and never talk about this.
"Thats not you." Bree whispered against Enyo's skin, kissing over the marks. Enyo turned her head slightly in disbelief at her words, staring at the girl. But Bree continued and wrapped her arms around her torso, sliding them up as she spoke up again. "Your funny. Sarcastic. Sexy as hell. And you are very good at making me scream."
Enyo thinks that what Bree just said about her not being that person is complete bullshit. The one reaction she wasnt expecting was denial but then again she doesn't even know her, they're just hooking up and it's pretty clear that she just has that one thing on her mind. Not even caring about who she sleeps with. And to be honest Enyo hadnt really cared earlier either but repeating the girls words back to herself she suddenly felt sick. And the more Bree kissed along her back, the worse she felt. Bree had no idea what Enyo was capable of, who she was. Enyo had used her to forget her problems but now she knew what Bree really thought of her she couldnt continue. She wished she'd never told Bree the truth, never let her answer and just left before she could.
Bree mumbled something about morning sex and Enyo staying there to sleep which she declined as politely as she could. The girl was too tired to argue, overstimulated and exhausted and buried herself with the blankets. The warrior left fully clothed and still feeling a little on edge as she wandered through the chilly night air.
.............
"Clarke, Finn and Monty are gone! And if you wanna be next then i cant stop you but... no guns are leaving this camp!.. THIS CAMP IS THE ONLY THING KEEPING US ALIVE!" Bellamy's shouts echoed throughout the darkness of the night, everyone crowded around him at the edge of camp to hear his orders. Enyo was the only one who then tuned the rest of his speech out, not in the mood to listen to what he has to say. She saw the logic in his plan, going after her people was risky and the chances of getting to them after she had escaped from Anya would be what some called a suicide mission, and would probably result in her three people dying anyway. But Monty was her friend. And she felt like since she was use to giving advice to leaders that, thats what she was to Clarke. Her advisor, her confidant maybe even her friend. Enyo didnt really know Finn and there was something about him that she just didn't trust but he was useful to the camp and people here cared about him.
And Enyo wasnt good at following orders. Doesnt matter if they came from Anya, Lexa, Clarke or Bellamy. Enyo was one warrior that rebelled against all authority.
She hadnt spoken to Bellamy since she'd moved out of his tent and he seemed to be smart enough not to attempt to find her and talk things out. Granted it had only been a couple of hours ago but a lot had happened in that time. Her dalliance with Bree and her tent mates was exactly what Enyo needed, her post-orgasm bliss keeping her sated and much more relaxed than she was earlier that day. Bree had asked for a repeat about an hour ago when she'd woken up but, remembering what Bree thought about her, Enyo had declined stating it was a one time thing. Enyo knew she wasnt a saint, that she was a killer born and raised. There were nightmares she could never get rid of and faces she wasnt able to forget. Thats why she branded herself with the killmarks. Insurance so she'd never forget.
Walking into the dropship she spent the next couple of hours there as daylight broke out. She tended to Myles as best she could. Which was basically shit, there was a reason she never bothered to become like her mother. "Im basically doing fuck all for you. Sorry Myles."
"At least your trying." Bellamy cut in, feeling the need to offer some comfort, from where he was a few feet away, staring at his mini camp to replicate the real one.
"Unlike some people." CJ muttered under his breath but it was loud enough for them all to hear. Enyo was just as worried about Monty as Jasper was so she understood his need to confront Bellamy.
"Dont you think i want to go after them too?" Bellamy replied, tired.
Jasper turned to fully face him, narrowing his eyes at the intimidating leader. "Do you think Clarke, Monty or Finn would hide behind these walls if you were out there?"
Bellamy didnt let himself rise to Jasper's challenge. "No. They'd go after me and then they'd be dead."
Jasper shook his head and glanced at Enyo who was attempting to soothe Myles. Suddenly wanting to push Bellamy's buttons. Stepping closer to the man, Jasper kept his voice low so only the two of them could hear. "Funny that when she was taken you looked more concerned then you do now."
The muscle in Bellamy's jaw ticked but he didn't respond, letting Jasper walk up the ladders to get more gunpowder for the minefield. He looked back towards her and felt an ache in his chest. Jasper was right, if it wasnt for the fact that he had run out of bullets on unity day, and had no idea of where the Trikru camp is, he would've gone after Enyo. Wouldn't even hesitate. Especially to prevent the pain she was trying to hide from her back, never able to be still without feeling uncomfortable. Watching her now he noticed just how much he'd grown use to having her close, always reaffirming touches whenever they saw each other around camp. Now she was avoiding him like a plague and it hurt him. Bellamy had been abandoned by the father he never got to know, his mother that was killed because of his recklessness and even his sister in a way. The Blakes had grown apart during their time on earth and Bellamy was slowly dying from how much he wanted to change it all but couldn't. Even Octavia's father had abandoned him, another possible father figure. No one stuck around for Bellamy Blake. Which is why he held on so tight to the people he loved. Afraid of being left and people realising he doesnt deserve any kind of love.
He wasnt going to force Enyo to talk to him about why she was avoiding him but he figured it was probably his fault. Bellamy also thinks that he tends to hurt the people that he cares about without meaning to. She wasnt afraid to look him in the eyes. She knew exactly what she wanted, knew exactly who she was and that fascinated him. But still hiding behind his uncaring, asshole exterior to protect himself, the apology wouldn't leave his mouth. He didnt even know why she cared about him.
"Dont." Enyo interupts whatever he was going to say, still not looking at him.
He steps closer, not confident in doing so. "Look Enyo i dont know what i did so-"
Enyo stands and Bellamy steps back. "You do realise that you could have said no to her. She was trying to get back at Finn, i understand that. But what the hell were you doing?"
"Since when is it any of your business who i sleep with?" Bellamy asks getting annoyed.
She shakes her head, chuckling at how stupid she had been. "Not everything is about you Blake. But if all this drama kicks off if the others survive then im going to watch as Finn kicks your ass."
Bellamy grunts. "So you think what he did to Raven was okay? Your really on his side, you dont even like him. Or do you? Are you just gunna be another woman that falls for his shit?"
Enyo growls, pushing him away from her. "First off, i dont like what he's done and I'll be having words with him if he lives. Second, this doesnt give you the right to get involved in all of their drama and expect not to get shit from it. And third, you cant help who you fall in love with, including Clarke so stop blaming her for this when Finn is the cheating sleazebag!"
"Im not blaming anyone! Is that what you think?!" Bellamy demands, voice echoing through the dropship.
She rolls her eyes, lips in a hard line. "Thats what i know. If i knew you were this type of person i never would've-"
"Never would've what?!" Bellamy interupts, loudly. "Never would've stayed? Yeah you shouldve joined the rest of your people in killing us off! Because thats what you are!" He spat.
Breathing heavily, Bellamy waits for Enyo's comeback. "People think i act like i dont care. Your right, its not an act." Enyo stopped, her rage simmering down into the bluntness she knows best.
"Look, i understand no one can help who they fall in love with-" Bellamy starts his deep voice rumbling quietly now.
"-well at least i know it'll never be with you." Enyo interupts him, emotionless.
Bellamy rolls his eyes, rubbing his hand over his face, sighing. "I know just...why are we arguing about this?"
Crouching back down to comfort Myles, Enyo doesnt say anything to him so he volunteers to get Myles some water, leaving Enyo and Jasper in the dropship.
Enyo hummed a soothing tune to Myles, completely unaware to the figure standing behind her. Murphy picked up the gun that Jasper had left behind and steadily pointed it at the grounder that had handed him over to be tortured. He would handle Myles but she would have to be dealt with first. Cocking the gun, Enyo turned her head at the sound and when she saw who it was, she shot to her feet. Only to hear a gunshot and feel pain as she was greeted by the darkness.
......
"Murphy! Murphy!" Bellamy's voice boomed at the dropships closed door. He'd heard Jasper's panicked voice in the radio, after the echo of a gunshot, alerting him to Murphys true intentions of staying in camp, earning back everyone's trust. Murphy continued to point his gun at Jasper, who has his hands tied and mouth gagged. He'd come down after he heard the gunshot which was close range and almost deafened him from the sound traveling through the dropship. But Jasper had terrible timing, seeing Murphy shoot Enyo and then suffocate Myles. Now here he was terrified and helpless.
"I heard about Jasper," Octavia said, outside, running up to her brother, yelling at the dropship, "Murphy! Murphy if you so much as touch Jasper your dead!"
"O, i got this covered." Bellamy reassured his sister.
Spinning to face him in disbelief, "really? Cause it doesnt look like your doing anything."
"Bellamy!" Raven called, walking towards the two Blakes. "You were right, Enyo popped one of the panels to get into the dropship when you had the two other grounders captive. She's done a hell of a job fixing it, so its gunna take some time for me to pop it again."
Bellamy nodded. "Do it."
Raven walked back to continue her work under the dropship whilst everyone else just stood around watching the Blakes. Octavia gave her brother a side glance. "Sorry."
"Come on Murphy your leaving us vulnerable to an attack. I cant let that happen." Bellamy said into the radio. Nobody was working and it was setting Bellamy on edge. If the grounders attacked right now they'd all be dead.
"Yeah well, your not exactly in control right now." Murphy sneered, looking down at the unconscious grounder and the curled up Jasper.
Bellamy caught on to Murphys need for control, for revenge. "Come on Murphy. You dont wanna hurt Jasper, you wanna hurt me. What do you say, trade him for me?"
Murphys lips twitched up, Bellamy didnt know Enyo was in here, so he still has some leverage. "How?"
Bellamy feels hope bloom in his chest. Jasper would be safe soon, he'd make sure of it and Bellamy prayed to Olympus and back that Enyo was hidden.
As Bellamy pushed the tarp aside, walking further in, Jasper was thrown out into the camp. Octavia removed Jasper's gag, him panting out "Murphys gunna kill Enyo an then Bellamy!"
The echo of the dropship door, thumping out the reality that someone could die today.
As Murphy closed the door behind him, Bellamy stepped further in and then froze, eyes widening in shock at Enyo's motionless body on the floor. Blood running from her body, a puddle spreading on the floor. He made a move towards her but Murphy cocked his gun again.
"Let her go Murphy. This is between me and you." Bellamy demanded, attempting to hide the thickness of emotion in his voice.
Murphy chuckled mercilessly, gun still pointed at Bellamy. "Considering she gave me over to her people to be tortured, id say this has everything to do with her. Stand over there."
Bellamy raised his hands and did as he was told, knowing it wasnt just his life on the line. Enyo still hadnt moved and his eyes stayed trained on Murphy so he would stay focused on him. But Murphy had other plans. He kept facing Bellamy so he wouldnt try anything and pointed the gun at Enyo's still form as he stalked over to her. Bellamy grew rigid but didnt move, he'd never felt so helpless in this moment.
Murphy nudged her none too gently but she didnt respond stirring agitation in the revenge filled boy. He growled and did it again and the moment where he was expecting the same result, expecting to resort to a full on kick to wake her, Enyo suddenly rolled over and kicked an unsuspecting Murphy in the stomach. It all happened in a blur as he stumbled backwards and Enyo jumped at him, kneeing him in the crotch and elbowing his face. But Murphy still had his rifle in hand, and pulled the trigger, kicking her thigh where he'd shot her.
"No! Murphy stop, no!" Bellamy watched on, mind still processing how quickly that had just happened. He was at the other side of the room as instructed but he stepped closer to Enyo on instinct. She was on the floor again, bleeding even more but her murderous glare remained directed at Murphy, promising all kinds of pain and ,a part of Bellamy that wasnt worried and freaking out, was impressed.
Pointing the gun at her again, Murphy was definitely set on starting to kill her first. "Your really short." He decided to piss her off before he killed her though.
"Thanks." Enyo replied, she was aware, she was the same height as Clarke. Looking Murphy up and down. Pointedly pausing on a particular part of his clothed anatomy. "So are you."
Murphy snarled and kicked Enyo's face, causing her to spit blood. Bellamy bit back on saying anything, as hard as it was, he needed to take Murphys attention away from Enyo. He isnt about to let her die at the hands of Murphy.
A crackled voice on the radio came to the rescue. "Bellamy? Are you and Enyo okay? Bellamy!"
Murphy looked back to Bellamy's pleading face. "Want her to know your alive? Start tying." He threw some seatbelts at Bellamy's feet and Bellamy crouched down obediently, speaking into the radio when Murphy pressed the button down.
"We're fine. Tell everyone to get back to work. And Raven to hurry her ass up."
Enyo heard the underlying tone in that and shared a look with Bellamy, understanding passing beween them in a quick flick of their eyes. He has a plan. But until then, they both had to keep Murphy talking. Had to keep the other alive. Bellamy kept tying the seatbelts together whilst Enyo put pressure on her wounds, staring at the floor otherwise she'd end up saying the wrong thing to Murphy.
"Got em all fouled, huh? Coming in here thinking you could save yourself. Save her. Well what are you thinking now?"
Bellamy paused his ministrations of whatever Murphy had planned. But his answer wasn't meant as a distraction, it was sincere. "What do you want me to say? You want me to apologise? Im sorry."
Murphy didn't take the gesture. "Little late for that. Toss it over."
Bellamy did so, listening to him when he stepped up onto the box. But when it came to putting the seatbelt noose around his throat, he hesitated, fueling Murphy to cock his gun at Enyo's bleeding figure. She shook her head, trying to contain the tears in her eyes when Bellamy literally tied the noose around his own neck.
"I dont want your apologies, i want you to feel what i felt...then i want you to die." Murphy declared, hell bent on revenge. Bellamy sensed his own impending death but he wouldn't accept it. Not while he still had people to protect.
"You really think that we're all gunna let you walk out of here? You'll be lucky if i dont skin you alive." Enyo threatened, tears now overflowing onto her cheeks when Murphy tugs sharply on the seatbelts, Bellamy having to go onto his tip toes to breathe. Murphy smirked at Enyo's obvious weakness for the leader, noting the look on Bellamy's face.
"Well i think the princess is dead," Murphy goaded and Enyo snarled, "and i know the kings about to die followed by his queen. So who's really gunna lead these people huh? Me thats who." Then turning to Bellamy, " and yeah maybe I'll have to kill your grounder pounding sister-"
Bellamy cut him off with an attempt to kick him but missed, barely managing to keep his balance on the box. Murphy grasped the rope and pulled, causing Bellamy to go on his toes again when he faintly heard a female screech under the dropship floor. Looking up amused at Bellamy's panicked face, he let go of the rope and started firing into the floor. Enyo yelled for Octavia to move from wherever she was down there, scared to think about the possibility of losing her friend and maybe her Abraham if he was down there. Bellamy screamed and struggled to take the rope from around his neck but then Murphy spotted his movements, letting his gun hang from its sling.
"BELLAMY!" Enyo screamed in raw fear, watching as Murphy had kicked the stool out from him and held her back, forcing her to watch. Her shoulder from where he'd shot her the first time was painful, her body weak, the second shot having only grazed her thigh. This was her only chance to save Bellamy. As his body flapped and flailed, Bellamy bleakly only had eyes for Enyo. Watching as Murphy muttered things into her ear whilst digging his finger into her shot shoulder. Distantly glaring as he saw Murphys other hand travel around Enyo's body and her face grew emotionless. Her eyes staying focused on Bellamy's was the last thing he thought about before the darkness swarmed him.
"Remember how i said that i considered not killing you? Well ive considered it." Enyo replied in response to Murphys offensive comments in her ear.
Enyo pushed her body back into his, using the moment of surprise to twist out of his grip and punch him in the throat. Staggering back and struggling for breath, he wrestled her to the ground where he managed to smack her head with the gun and then put the butt of it to her head. He went to pull the trigger but it clicked, Enyo recognising the sound. Dud bullets. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." She groaned but used the small miracle all the same. Pulling out one of her hidden knives from her sleave and stabbing him in the calf of his legs. The humm of the dropship door opening, light filtering through and Murphy jumped up and closed the hatch to the second level, trapping himself.
Through the black dots in her vision, she pushed figures out of the way, staggering to walk as she practically threw herself at the rope hanging Bellamy and cut it, his body falling to the floor. Enyo dropped beside him, no energy to talk only enough to see if he could be alive. And after some pleading from Octavia and Jasper, Bellamy raggedly breathed in, life returning to his blue faced self. The first person he saw was his sister, alive and well, not shot by Murphy. And then a bright orange light, focusing more as his senses came back to him. Enyo's tears flowed more insistently now but she didnt care. She was filled with relief that she hadnt lost him, couldn't find it in herself to speak.
"En-eny... Enyo?" It took him a while to get his breath back enough to be heard. She was crying. Which was still a little overwhelming as the first time but this was for him. She was scared to lose him. As baffling as that was to him, he focused on her dazed eyes and cut on her forhead. Shot twice, felt up, and beaten yet she still looked so goddamm strong. He thought to himself. But given the way Jasper snorts and Octavia laughs, he may have said it out loud. But Enyo's tears had stopped, being replaced with the softest smile he'd seen on her yet. Worth it. He didn't need to voice that thought, probably written all over his face for them to see. This was the closest they had been to each other, so wherever Murphy was, Bellamy thinks he can wait to savour this moment.
"So...that was fun. Lets never do that again." And although they laughed, everyone agreed with Jasper.
Authors note: seriously are you guys trying to make me cry with all the votes?😁😘for those of you who've already read this far, i have tweaked a few things in most chapters so you may want to re-read.
