The room where it happened

Corey evidently noticed when Laney took of the helmet.  All he did the time she was in there(mostly) was stare at his bassist. And he certainty noticed she was crying.

"Laney! What happened!?" Corey almost yelled. Laney looked at Corey shocked, blinking , and trying to comprehend how some much could happen so fast, then he over.

She looked at Corey. Then out of no where she just hugged him. Feeling sorry for what she had to go though, Corey hugged back. He had never seen Laney this bad from watching something. Obviously, this machine could do more than it seemed.

Laney cried into Corey's shoulder, not wanting to take notice of all the people around her. "It was horrible." She whispered.

Everyone mentally took a step back. Could it really be that scary. Everyone was already here and gonna do it anyway. Might as well we what this thing can do.

Corey looked behind him. "Kin?" Kin shrugged.

"Could it really be that bad." He asked staring at the machine.

Laney pulled away from the hug. She whipped he eyes and looked at everyone. "I guess it's not so bad. It's just like a bad nightmare. I shouldn't be so worked up." Corey looked at Laney with a serious expression.

"If it was that bad then you can tell us. You can tell me." Corey grabbed her shoulder sympathetically.

"I'm fine really." Laney said to Corey now her normal self. "We should probably scoot over for whoever going next."

"We could sit against the car." Corey pointed. Laney nodded and the both headed over, sitting next to each other.

"I wanna go next." Kim said sitting down. She almost seemed eager to see what the machine could do, but she didn't show it.

"Sis are you sure?" Konnie asked. Her twin nodded and Konnie shrugged. "Alright."

Kin set up the machine and turned it on. Kim was now entering her nightmare. Welp, here's to five minutes of waiting.

As Corey saw Kim enter her dream he glanced over at Laney, not wanting her to notice. Why had he been so worried about her? I mean she was his best friend, but.... He seemed generally worried for her safety. It seems like it was like that all the time now. Always wanting to know if she was alright. One time when she was sick he almost wanted to burst through her door to see if she was alright.

What did all this mean? What was this strong urge to want to help her? He'd probably figure it out later. Ask Kin or something. For now he just sat in silence.
