I'm Not So Sure About This

Carrie slowly took off the helmet and laid it beside her. She was so quiet that the group almost didn't notice her. But a certain red head did.

"Carrie? You okay?" Larry walked around to the front of the couch. The others turned around to see the results. Kin paused the video they were watching:Total Drama Island's Best Wipeouts.

"Carrie?" Larry asked again. The girl sat looking ahead in shock. The confused boy waved his hand in front of her to try to snap her out of it. When she didn't respond, the only thing he could think of doing next was to hug her. Comfort her in this state of mind.

When Larry wrapped his arms around the startled girl, she snapped out of it. But it was only noticeable by her. She looked around with her eyes ever so slightly, the realized the situation. Then she slowly wrapped her arms around him, too. He opened his eye but didn't let go. It was just to see how she was doing. But she seemed to have the same face. He closed his eye again and wished for a change. Carrie closed her eyes, dug her head into his shoulder, and started sobbing.

Larry opened his eyes again, completely shocked and confused. How bad was this thing? Was it evil? Well, he was trapped in a hug right now so all he could do was squeeze tighter. To reassure the poor girl.

"Ummm, Kin? Are you sure that this is, oh I don't know..." Kim said drifting off. "SAFE?!"

Kin gulped then nodded. But it was an unsure nod. Everybody looked around curious of the other. Was this thing really that bad? Was anybody going to go next?

Larry stood all the way up with Carrie, and arm around her shoulders. "I'm going take her outside for a while to calm down. I'll be back in a little while." And with that the two walked out.

"It can't be that bad," said Corey grabbing the machine. "Right? Here I wanna go."

"Okay," Kin shrugged. He started preparing the machine to now do Corey's fears.

Meanwhile outside Carrie had ceased crying and was now looking sadly out to the road. The images and the sequence of the event still fresh in her mind. She also had so many questions. Why had those things happened? And why where they mostly about Larry...? This is what she pondered while staring ahead.

Larry was by her side, sitting on the grass along side her. He was worried and was looking at her. The girl he loved was in pain, from what he could tell. And he didn't like it. "Hey," he said softly. She looked at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just," she paused for a while. "Shooken up." The band leader hugged her knees. She started off at the road again. Larry sighed. He didn't know what else to do.

"Okay." He said, not quite sure how to carry on the conversation. He started to ask a question that he knew he would regret. The question that is over used in situations like this. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He glanced at her. Carrie nodded her head no.

"Just," Carrie started, surprising him. Larry expected her to not respond. For the first time while being outside, she looked him in the eyes. "Promise you won't leave me. Or the band. Or-"

"Carrie." The boy's tone turned serious and had a hint of sympathy with it as well. "I'm never going to leave the band. And I'm definitely not leaving you." He placed a hand on her back. Suddenly she lingered at him and hugged him. He smiled a warm smile and hugged her back. Then Carrie pulled away and looked him in the eye...

...and kissed him.

Larry's eyes went wide. He never, NEVER, thought this time would come. Well, not while he was in the seventh grade. Or even in middle school. But it was happening now. He closed his eyes and kissed back. He lightly but his hands on Carries back and it was all perfect. He just wish he could have told Carrie how much he cared before hand.

A moment later she pulled away. She looked down ashamed. "I'm sorry-"

"Don't be." Larry said before quickly kissing her again. This time when they pulled away she smiled. Then she stood up.

"What do we do now?"

"I got an idea. What to get milkshakes?"

--------------

Larry and Carrie walked into the opening of the garage. They were holding hands. While Corey was oblivious to the situation as always, most of the others noticed this. It didn't take Kim long to know why though.

"Hey we're going to get some milkshakes. We'll be back later." Larry said. Kim smirked and nodded.

"Okay. Bye you two~! Don't stay away to long!" Larry rolled his eyes while Carrie blushed a little. The two then started to walk down the side walk to go get some sweet milkshakes.

"Well, that's that," Kin sighed. "What now? I mean does anybody even want to go?" Kon and Konnie shook their head no and then continued their conversation. The topic: their twins best invention explosions. "Well I don't want to go. I went this morning," Kin slightly sassed. To bad he left off the part where he only went to two for a test run. That left Corey to be the only one left in the room to go.

"Come on, it can't be that bad!" The blue headed band leader retorted. His cockiness overtaking his attitude as he said this. He grabbed the machine. "Hey Kin hook me up I wanna try." Kin shrugged and started up the machine as Corey but on his head.

"I wonder what Corey's afraid of." Laney thought as Kin sat back in his chair beside the couch, picking up a nearby book. Laney then took out her phone to wait for the time to pass while sitting on the edge of the stage.
