"H-Hey, guys, I think she's waking up."

A pair of black, red-rimmed eyes opened, and without wasting any time, they scanned the area and spotted a group of homeless people huddled together, each one displaying varying emotions, ranging from concern and worry to fear and shock. However, as the creatures began to slowly sit up off the ground, the homeless individuals started stepping back and away from them.

"Ugh… Where am I?..."

The owner of the piercing red eyes belonged to a young middle-aged adult woman who wore a black dress. What stood out to everyone, including herself, and beyond the eyes though it was definitely part of it, was how unnaturally white she was; so white, in fact, that she could probably disappear into a pile of snow.

"W-What happened to me?..."

She was extremely confused and concerned, not only about where she was but also about herself; she understood nothing and it was making her feel stressed greatly.

"U-Um, you're not sick if you're wondering…"

This caught the snow white woman's attention, causing her to look away from herself and turn her attention to the homeless group, more specifically to a black lady in a large coat and dress, who looked away shyly when she was looked at.

"I-It's probably something you ate or touched recently, but it's not life threatening, at least from what I can tell…"

She looked down at herself, gripping her clothes and trying to avoid eye contact with the strange lady who was still watching her.

"... Are you a healer?"

The mysterious girl decided to ask her this, not only out of curiosity, but also because she wanted something to distract herself with; she was stressed and mentally exhausted, and being worried about everything she didn't understand made it even harder for her to deal with all the other things she was already struggling with personally.

"Jill's a former doctor, but the best doctor in my opinion."

Instead of letting the shy Hobo Doctor, who was now known as Jill, go back out on the streets with another homeless person, this time a much older man with gray hair and a mustache, but with a completely bald head, he decided to take him in himself, and while he was still just as concerned and worried like the others, he was still willing to walk up to her.

"A former doctor?"

The strange lady tilted her head, looking back at Jill and noting how young she was, which only added to her confusion.

"Yes… She was fired from her job, but please don't ask her about it, it's a touchy subject."

The old man could guess why she was confused and quickly explained the situation; she nodded in acceptance and understanding.

"I see…"

She looked down, not asking for details and letting the subject drop for now, though before she could talk about something else, or just say nothing at all, she was immediately met with a hand being held in front of her face

"My name is Gareb, what's yours?"

The mystery girl just looked at the old man, now known as Gareb, not understanding why he was being so friendly with her; not only did he not know her, but from her looks alone, she should have been more afraid and hesitant towards him.

"... It's Salem…"

But despite it not making sense to the Snow White woman, now known as Salem, she didn't reject his kindness; in fact, she was feeling very desperate for affection and comfort right about now, especially the type of things she was going through, so she did not hesitate to grab his hand and allow him to help her up.

"My Salem, you're as cold as ice, there's a fireplace nearby, please come with us and we'll get you warmed up."

Once Gareb helped her up, while also noting how cold she felt, he wasted no time in taking her to a place where she could warm up. The other Hobo people followed him, well, all except for an older black man, who wore a very distrustful expression.

'God damn it Gareb, why do you always do this? We need to look after ourselves, and not just add another mouth to feed…'

A very short chapter I know, but I'm still planning and thinking, but hopefully this introduction does help you understand what I have planned, though to explain more, I'm using the TV Show as the main storyline, but I will also add in some comic stuff, but since I'm not an expert on Spawn, I am open to suggestions on this story, twank u wuv u all~

(Since the homeless people in Spawn are just random side characters, I've decided to make them into characters, though hopefully you don't mind me adding or changing a few things in this 'Homeless Family')
