Over a few days John blamed seeing the girl who changed into a bird on the fever, he thought he was hallucinating. Of course he was wrong, again, the bird was sitting in the tree right outside the window the entire time.

Today John was getting ready to go to work as a detective, he put on his white dress shirt, his black slacks with the belt, gun holster, and badge, he slid his black tie around his neck, and threw on his black tux jacket. He went to grab his keys from the hook next to the bed when a familiar voice interrupted "Heading to work John?" There was a very 'manly' scream comingfrom John, he threw the keys to where he thought the voice came from but he missed by a mile.

"Wow, I thought that I said I was here to help not rape." The voice said in a sarcastic tone. John whipped around to see what he thought what a trick of the mind. The girl, or Grimm, was standing there with large animal ears and a tail swishing side to side. She pointed at the keys that are laying next to the wall. "Don't you need those to get to work?" John just starred at her in shock. After a moment or two of silence Grimm walked up to him and waved a pale hand in hisface. "Grimm to John, come in John." John raised a shaky finger "y-y-you..." Grimm sighed "Yes I am real, and no I will not leave you until my job is done or I deem it impossible." Grimm started 
to move around the large room, picking up a small statue. The statue looked like it was doing ballet, I think it is just for decoration. Did his ex give it to him for Christmas or something? John cleared his throat catching Grimm's attention. "Um...that was a gift, from my ex, for our anniversary, last year I think." Ha! Called it. "Why are you here?" John squeaked, Grimm looked back at him with a straight face. Seconds later Grimm was rolling on the ground clutching her stomach in pain from laughing so hard. "Y-you squ-squeaked! Hahaha!" Grimm said between breathes. When she was done she sat back on her elbows, wiping away stray tears. "Anyway, don't you remember what I said? I have to look after you to make sure you fix yourself before its to late."

John stood there for a moment. Grimm looked to the side at the clock. "Hey John?" "Yeah?" "What time do you need to be at work?" "8, why?" John looked confused at Grimm. "Do you wanna be late?" John's eyes widened and he looked at the clock. 7:45 and it takes a good 20 minutes, on a good day, if there's traffic, say goodbye to your job. 3...2...1..."'Carp'! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Grimm raised her hands in surrender "Calm down John-" John interrupted her by quickly grabbing his keys off the ground and sprinting out the door. Leaving an awkward Grimm standing there "-its not the end of the world..." She groaned, pouting. Her ears fell loosely to the sides, her tail tapping the ground.

John found himself, in the middle of traffic, and of coarse he was raging in his seat. Its an interesting thing to see. John checks the time to see its 7:57, he hangs his head. "Having a hard time there John?" He jumped in his seat "Would you stop doing that?!" He turned to see Grimm lazily sitting in the passenger seat. "Hm...No." She starts petting her fluffy tail while John dramatically whines causing Grimm to giggle. "You know, I could have got us there quicker if, you know, asked me." John looked at Grimm with exhaustion. "And how would you do that? Oh great guardian angel." "A little trick I like to call," Grimm waved her fingers "Magic." John groaned "or, you know, walking." John slid a hand over his face "Come on, you gotta find this situation a little funny." John stayed quiet. Grimm sighed "At least park here and I'll get you to work." John sighed but did as told. "Now, close your eyes." John grumbled, closing his eyes. "Imagine your at your work in the parking lot." John thought about it for a second, imagining he was parked next to the blue Porsche one of his colleagues drives. "Now open your eyes." When John opened his eyes, he sat frozen in shock. He was exactly where he imagined. "Wha-" "I teleported us here by using your memory, and I also went back in time so no one freaks out by the magically disappearing car." John's jaw dropped. "You better close your mouth before you catch flies." Grimm joked, reaching out to close his mouth. "Now, lets go inside." Grimm snapped her fingers and her animal ears and tail disappeared, then opened the car door and stepped out. She realized John wasn't moving, so she leaned back in, "Are you coming?" John slowly nodded and got out, still stunned. Grimm giggled, seeing a grown man stiffly move out of the car, its hard not to laugh
