TW: Flashbacks and Crying

Unbeknownst to the other hermits, Scar and Grian were brothers.

Why didn't they know this?

Simple answer; They grew up in different servers.

They were separated due to their parents divorce.

Grian went with their mother and Scar with their father.

Grian was 5 and Scar was 7.

So, when Grian joined HermitCraft, Scar didn't know what to do.

His little brother was home but, it wasn't as great as he thought it would be.

Scar thought if they met again they would be inseparable.

He thought he could be the brother he never got to be but...

It was too late.

Grian was an adult now.

He didn't need his help with building, crafting, or PvP.

He was a man, not a kid.

Why did it hurt so much...?

Scar didn't know.

When they were sent to 'Third Life' by the watchers, Grian had accidentally caused his first death by a creeper.

Grian then swore his first life as Scar's to control.

Scar didn't want to boss Grian around.

He just wanted to be his brother.

So that's what he did.

They grew a strong bond there in that dessert.

When Scar fell down the ravine.

Grian cried.

Grian clung onto Scar like his life depended on it.

He cried so much he could fill a lake.

Scar attempted to comfort him.

He reassured him.

But Grian wouldn't listen.

He thought it was his fault.

When Grian lost his 2nd life, Scar almost drowned in remorse.

He couldn't take the fact that he murdered his brother.

So in the end he let Grian kill him.

As a spectator he watched Grian jump.

It was heartbreaking to see his brother fall to his death.

Back in HermitCraft those who were in 'Third Life' celebrated their return.

But Scar and Grian?

They sat in silence within Grian's mansion.

The atmosphere was comforting.

It was safe.

They were safe.

When 'Last Life' happened.

They hardly saw each other.

And when they did, mainly it wasn't friendly.

When Scar fell down the lava trap.

Grian screamed.

That was all he heard before it went dark.

He knew Grian probably blamed himself.

But he couldn't go help him.

He was red.

Red had to cut ties.

They couldn't have relationships with those that were green and yellow.

'Last Life' was torture for all who were there.

But not as painful as for others as it was for Scar and Grian.

When they got back to HermitCraft, everyone cried tears of joy, disbelief, and sorrow.

But Scar and Grian?

They comforted each other.

Boatem found them passed out by the swagon.

No one knew why they were so close.

Not a soul.

But Scar and Grian knew that they were brothers.

Brothers that would never leave the others side.

No matter what, they were brothers.

And brothers stayed together.

Forever.
