In which our hero, Mr. Eiren Adair, discovers unfortunate news; finds an unlikely ally in a former enemy; and discovers how necessary rest can be on the soul.

Each part contains nine chapters, and each part represents a different period of damage on the personality of our hero, Eiren Adair.

The end of each part shall commence in the telling of a short story, designed to represent a message of import for Eiren, and present the catalyst for change in the intentions of our hero.
