(A/n this takes place 5 months before he meets boomer, and 6 months before puppeteer).

The light of the sun rose on a new day, to most this is the right time to wake up and welcome the bright day, but to most they try to hide under the covers or close the blinds in a desperate attempt to sleep the day away.

An inkling with an octoling male styled haircut was one of them, grey groaned slightly as the light shown through his window. But unfortunately he couldn't stop what was coming next, as suddenly his door opened and a octoling stepped in.

???:" grey, time to wake up!"

Grey:" nooo, i wanna sleep."

Marina sighed before opening up the blinds, light flooded the room as grey groaned turning into his squid form and going deeper in the covers. A few minutes later he changed back before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

" what time is it and what day is it?"

Marina:" its 8:57 and Saturday, we thought you might sleep the day away"

Grey:" that was the plan but for some reason whenever i wake up I can't fall back asleep, i need to take a shower then meet up with the gang."

" not before eating breakfast, don't think i didn't notice you spending money at the store. That's not a good way to live"

" fine" with that grey went and got his clothes out, which were a black t-shirt and black and red shorts. As he ran the shower, he first washed his hair.

5 minutes later.

Grey walked down the stairs there was still sleep in his eye's but it wasn't noticeable unless you looked really hard. As he walked into the living room he saw pearl and marina.

Pearl:" morning shrimpo! Nice to see you didn't decide to sleep your lazy bones away."

Grey:" wanted too but i had to meet the gang today, at least the school's closed on Monday so,  i atleast have Monday".

" when are you gonna tell that mocha boy you have a crush on him?" That comment is what got grey flustered, he groaned slightly before going into the kitchen and grey returned with  a piece of toast and a thermos.

Grey:" i have coffee and toast so i think this counts as breakfast, but im sure the gang is gonna say otherwise".

Pearl:" don't  forget  the ' surprise'!"

Grey:" i won't".

Grey left out the house before marina could question what surprise they were talking about and walked down the street to  a nearby neighborhood, as he walked down the street he noticed his destination, A house that was covered in toys and had toys in the lawn. He went to ring the doorbell but remembered what happened  a few days ago so deciding not to risk it, he knocked on the door and came face to face with a tall blond inkling, " hey lori, is the rest of the gang here?"

Lori:" yea there literally in lincoln's room, and does your mom know about the surprise?"

Grey:" no not yet, but she got close."

" please be literally  careful next ti-"  lori was cut off when she spotted a familiar rainbow  hair colored octoling walk silently behind grey, upon noticing lori  he made a shushing motion with her fingers.

"Grey"

"Yea?"

Lori:" im literally terribly sorry"

"For wha-"?

*CHOMP!*
"ARRG!!! IROOOO!!!"

Said octoling then wrapped grey in a hug as he began drinking grey's ink from the bite mark on one of his tentacles.

Grey mostly became annoyed with  iro, but he couldn't blame him. Iro had a liquid diet, so there wasn't alot of things for him to eat- err drink.  But for some reason he fed off of grey. At first grey was understandably  angry and confused, but now he mostly grew annoyed.

He wouldn't be annoyed if iro didn't bite off the tip of the tentacle he chose to drink from, or moan like he was getting off!!

" iro i swear, if you don't stop looking like your doing 'it' i swear im going to backhand the crud out of you."

Iro  shrugged his shoulders before letting grey go and wiping his lips.

Grey touched the back of his head and frowned noticing a blotch of ink on his hand
