"Are you sure?" Shawn asks Tessa who was hell bent on knowing why her brother had killed himself.

"A one hundred percent" Tessa replies sharply and Shawn exhales.

"I'll make arrangements" Shawn gives Tessa a pat on the back, and with that Tessa leaves to meet Neil.

"So you and Shawn are a thing now?" Neil asks as he and Tessa walk through a park.

"From my side yes, I don't know about Shawn"

"You guys! That's exactly what he said" Neil giggles.

"Really?" Tessa excitedly squeals.

"Yeah" Neil states in rather monotonously.

"Is something wrong?" Tessa asks picking the hint that Neil wasn't very happy with Shawn being with her.

"Absolutely not!" Neil springs with that question.

"Neil, what is wrong? You don't want me and Shawn together?" Tessa asks sadly.

"He's been hurt before Tessa, you shouldn't expect him to love you with all his heart" Neil sighs.

"I understand, and that's okay" Tessa gives him a warm smile.

"How do I make you understand?" Neil scratches his head as he thinks hard.

"I don't get it Neil!" Tessa yells impatiently.

What was Neil hiding? His delicate emotions towards Tessa? Or was he really afraid that Tessa would be hurt by Shawn. But the real question is whose side would you pick if you were Tessa, the man you have started having feelings for or his best friend?

"I just wanted to tell you to stay away from him!" Neil blurts out immediately regretting his choice of words.

"Why?" Tessa asks on the verge of crying.

"Because you are not a black" Neil lies and Tessa looks at him dumbfounded.

"So I'm not allowed to date a member of The Black Circle just because I'm not a member too?" Tessa questions horrified.

"Well it's somewhat like that, since you are dating him and all, he must have told you about Kitty?" Neil sighs.

"Who's Kitty?" Tessa cringes at the name.

"Kristen, Shawn's late girl-friend, she was a black too" Neil sadly nods.

"Didn't know he would call her Kitty" Tessa scoffs and Neil shakes his head with disapproval.

"Except Shawn everyone called her Kitty, he called Kris, he said it sounded cute" Neil giggles remembering the old fond memories, Tessa glared at him with jealousy screaming in her face.

"Don't care!" Tessa snaps Neil out of his daydream.

"Take a chill pill woman!" Neil replies terrified of her sudden behaviour, women are soo confusing! But Neil, she's as old as you are she's only nineteen!

"Soo I'm going to find out why Hugh exactly killed himself" Tessa claps her hand as Neil's eyes widen.

"Hugh Gray, Timothy's favourite black, didn't drown but suicided?" Neil asks taken aback and Tessa nods sadly.

"He had soo many secrets Neil, things are taking shape now, like I didn't even know he was part of The Black Circle" Tessa shuts her eyes and shakes her head.

"You didn't? He was one of the famous one's, how didn't you?" Neil chuckles but soon recieves a glare from his new best-girlfriend.

"I'm planning on raiding my parents bedroom tonight, I need your help" Tessa tells him excitedly.

"How in the world am I going to be of any help,why don't you ask lover boy?" Neil wiggles his eyebrows.

"You see, my parents practically hate Shawn and even if they knew I was seeing him, that'd be the end of him. So let's stick to you, I mean if you die I could care less" she shrugs her shoulder.

"How dare you" Neil gives her stern look before attacking her with tickles.

"Woah stop, let's get to the matter" Tessa pushes Neil off of her and her cheeks hurt, she had been smiling too wide.

"Tessa-----" Neil says before being cut off by Tessa herself.

"I'm going to talk to my parents about Hugh, downstairs exactly at eight that's our dinner time and absolutely no one is a second late, you can stay in my bedroom till then, I'll be with you too, at eight I head downstairs and that's when your part starts. You walk into my parents bedroom to find anything suspicious and something related to Hugh" Tessa informs.

"Let me look at myself in the mirror one last time, because this woman is going to be the end of me!" Neil giggles as he recieves a smack on his head from Tessa.

The clock after their conversation suddenly decided to move slower than usually. After a three hour long wait the clock dings eight times. Tessa springs up and rushes downstairs, never had she been this excited for a family dinner before.

"Keep them, don't let them come up" Neil warns as Tessa quickly nods, within seconds she was down and Neil could hear the family say 'amen' that was his sign, he tiptoes into Mr and Mrs Gray's bedroom starts with their closet.

Nothing.

Next, he opens the set of drawers beside the bed, when he spots a bright yellow letter with a to her print, the print was red. Blood? The next thing he knew, the vase fell from the top of the drawer rack and he could hear Tessa's dad yell.

He quickly grabs the letter and makes his way out of Tessa's bedroom.

"So Hugh didn't really drown?" Tessa was asking her dad when the sound of the vase crashing was heard, she mentally cursed Neil and pretended to be calm.

"Must be a cat!" She holds her dad's wrist as he gives her a doubtful look.

"He killed himself, that's all you need to know Tessa" her father pulls his wrist away from her grip and rushes upstairs, their bedroom was a total mess.

"Call inspector Martin right away" her dad shuffles with tension as Tessa has confused look, she immediately barges into her bedroom and locks the room shut.

From her room, she could see Shawn and Neil arguing, in Shawn's hand was a bright yellow letter.
