Callie Torres- Argument (c)
Sometimes arguments ended up going far further than what they were meant to, sending both parties into realms they never thought they would have to delve into before. You and your girlfriend Callie weren't unfamiliar with arguing but it was never over anything serious and would often dwindle after a couple of minutes with happy smiles and kind words of apologies. This sadly wasn't one of those times. It was over an hour since the argument started and it was a long-lost memory. You couldn't recall how or why the argument started, you didn't know who started it or if there was even a major point to is; all you did know was that you were both furious and there was no end in sight.
Even without a clear start, the argument had moved onto the lack of time that you both had for each other, both stuck in work most of the time and when you were both at home, you rarely had energy for even a simple conversation, let alone actually spending time together. For the first time in a fortnight, you were both home for longer than to just sleep at the same time and yet here you were, red-faced and screaming at each other.
"Why are you like this?" She exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air. "Why the hell have you created an argument out of nothing?"
"Well clearly it isn't nothing. It's not my fault that you don't give a shit about anything that I care about," you retorted. "You don't care even the slightest bit about me anymore."
Callie cocked an eyebrow at you, letting out a shocked snort. "I swear, if you say another word, I'll leave."
You rolled your eyes. "That's all you're good at isn't it, Callie? You just walk away when things get tough."
Her teeth gritted as she tried to keep her emotions even slightly in check even though both of you had thrown that caution to the wind long before.
"Fuck you," she spat.
"I thought you were leaving. You not going to run away from us again?" You asked.
She raised her hands up in defeat. "I'm done. We're done."
Callie snatched her handbag up and fled from the apartment before you were able to say anything more. You fell down onto the sofa, a large sigh escaping you, leaving you feeling deflated. Even if Callie infuriated her, you loved her. All you hoped was that with a few hours apart, you would both be able to see sense and speak things through in a reasonable manner.
