Addison Montgomery- Appendectomy (c)

Never in your life had you ever felt so crappy. Granted before your surgery you had felt worse, but you classed that as the same stint of pain seen as throughout the whole thing it hurt terribly and never stopped hurting. You had had an appendicitis, although at first you didn't know that but when your girlfriend insisted something untoward was going on, you had agreed to let her check you over and with a certain diagnosis, send you to get a formal look over and remove your appendix. It wasn't a pleasant experience, but it was one of the many times you were grateful that Addison was a surgeon.

A day after your surgery, you were discharged into her care and Addison did her best to be your personal nurse, even though she was a surgeon. She cared for you dearly and wanted to make sure everything was okay.

"Ow," you winced as she removed one of the sticky dressings from one of your three new scars from the appendectomy.

"I'm sorry," she said softly. "You've gone through enough pain; a little dressing being removed isn't the worst now is it?"

"It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt," you frowned.

She leaned down to press a gentle kiss above the wound before she gentle patted the area clean, so that she could cover it with a fresh dressing. You hated having your dressings changed but seen as Addison had just helped you bathe, you needed to change them as they had gotten damp.

Quickly Addison changed the other two, so they were all freshly done before pulling your shirt back down to cover your exposed abdomen. She leant over to the coffee table and handed you a glass of water and a couple of tablets.

You let out a moaning sound. "Pain killers."

Addison rolled her eyes at you, having gotten used to your excitement over getting pain killers as it was your lifeline, you were desperate to relieve any form of pain you felt from the surgery. You quickly took the tablets, begging them to work straight away but knowing that you would have a short time to wait before they took effect.

"Thank you for being my personal doctor," you smiled at your amazing girlfriend, feeling truly grateful for having her in your life.

"I am always here to take care of you," she said, giving your hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze. "Whatever you need, I will do my best to provide."

"I love you, Addy," you grinned.

"I love you too."
