~Author's Note~

In, "Season 5, Episode 22: What a Difference a Day Makes", Derek and Meredith was supposed to get married and then Izzie got some bad news. Meredith suggests that Alex and Izzie get married that night instead.

So, this is a one-shot about that. This one is about Meredith telling him that he needed to marry Izzie that night, instead of her and Derek. What should his response be? Read to find out. This is written in No one's POV. Hope you enjoy reading this!

(No one's POV)

Meredith walked outside to get some fresh air, and noticed Alex was sitting on a bench. She walked toward him and sat down.

"Hey?! You okay"? She asked. 

Alex just looked at her and said, "I don't know. You know I never was the relationship guy, but with Izzie it's different, and now I'm afraid that I'm going to lose her and she is going to die. He looked down and stared to tear up".

Meredith looked at him and put her hand on his shoulder, and said, "I have a plan, if you are willing to do it".

"What is it"? He asked. 

"You should marry Izzie tonight", She said. She looked at him, looking to see if he made a face. After a little while, he looks at Meredith and nodded his head and said, "Okay. I will do it".
