I was just chilling on my couch watching T.V. one day in summer, when Jay called me. "Hello?" I said after picking up. "Hey," Jay said. "Hold on," I said. I looked for the remote to the T.V. and muted it. "Kay. Back," I answered. "So, guess what!" Jay said. "What? Hold on... Let me guess. Is there a new episode of Micky Mouse coming on?" I said giggling. "Haha. Very funny. I was only watching that once when I was flipping through channels! And the remote got stuck," Jay said turning it down. "Sure it did," I giggled. "Anyway, what I was going to say was, that Jonah found cave in Greenland that might have treasure! It's called Greenland Cave. Are you up for it?" Jay asked. "Well, duh. I'm always up for exploring, but have you asked the crew? I mean, we are on vacation," I said. "Yep. Called 'em just before I called you. They're packing. We're meeting them at the airport on Wednesday," Jay said. "What day is it, and which airport?" I asked. "Today's Monday, and we're meeting at Sunny Dee airport. Sound good?" Jay asked. "Yeah. See you then. Bye!" I said. "Bye," Jay said. I hung up and unmuted the T.V. I watched Marry Popins. "Dumbest movie ever," I giggled after after the movie was over.  I decided to go pack. I walked into my room and opened all my drawers. I should probably pack for about a week, only God knows how long we're be there. After I finished packing I walked back in the living room and turned on the T.V. It went on a random channel, and I went to the kitchen and made some popcorn. I walked back to the living room with my popcorn and opened my recordings. I flipped to Micky Mouse Club House and pressed the play all button. I couldn't believe I was watching it.
On Wednesday we all met up at Sunny Dee airport, just like planned. "Hey guys," I said when we all met up. "Hey Alice," Gretchen said. Everyone else just waved. "So, Greenland, huh?" Greyson said. "Yep. Exciting, isn't it?" Grace chirped in. Jonah nodded, "Be glad I found it. I'm pretty excited!" Max stood up and stretched, "This is going to be a long ride." Max sighed. "Get over it Max," I said,"I mean it won't be that long. I think." Everyone laughed quietly. "Now boarding gate 32 to Greenland," the intercom said. "That's us," Jay said. "Come on guys," Greyson said and went to gate 32. We followed and boarded. I was supposed to sit next to Gretchen which stinks, because she snores! I tired switching tickets with Grace but it did not help. She said no. Ugh. The first few hours were nice. We talked about new caves, and jungles that we could visit soon. We talked about exotic foods in different lands. We both got one of those little bags of peanuts, and some Sprit. Then it was night. Gretchen fell asleep before me, and she started to snore right as I was about to fall asleep! Then I remembered a trick I used when I was a kid. You see my dad snores. I usually was watching T.V. in my parents room and he fell asleep. I could not hear the T.V. so I sang a little tune and "shh"ed him. I did the same with Gretchen. "La la la... Hush little baby... Don't make sound... I won't let you down... Shhh," I whispered. It worked! Gretchen stopped snoring for awhile. That gave me just enough time to fall into a deep slumber. It was not long before I had a dream. I was in a cave. A dark cave. I could not see, but then there was a torch, randomly lit. With that light I could see billions of spiders, all crawling toward me. I am scared of spiders, plus they were poisonous. I started freaking out and a spider then bit me on the leg. I woke up almost screaming. Great, Gretchen is snoring again. I grabbed my pillow and screamed. I hope no one heard. It took me awhile but I got Gretchen to stop snoring and I got to go to sleep. I did not have a dream -or nightmare- this time so time passed by quickly. When I woke up, Gretchen was already up too. "Hey," I said sleepily. "Hey sleeping beauty," she giggled. "One more day?" I asked. Gretchen giggled more, "Yes. And another night. We'll be there in the morning." I shrugged, "I don't know how I do this. How do you have so much energy?" "I have no idea," Gretchen emitted. I sighed. A airline employee came by and asked, "Hello. Would you like something to eat?" We both nodded. "I'll take some... Mini pancakes," Gretchen said. "I'll have the same," I said. "And what to drink?" the employee asked. "Chocolate milk," I answered. "Water for me please," Gretchen added. "O.K. I'll be right back with your food," the employee said and left. "You know what's weird?" I asked. "What?" Gretchen asked "We could buy a private jet, yet we still fly on public planes," I answered. "I know, right," Gretchen said. We both giggled. Later we got our pancakes and drinks. We talked some more. One more night, I thought, one more night...
