Chapter Fifteen

The fight between the kobold versus Hachi and Razen has ended.

Razen and Hachi were seating next to each other on the ground as they caught their breath. The fight was last longer than they thought.

"If you don't interfere-- Ha! Ha! Ha!" Hachi said, catching his breath, "I can kill it in seconds."

"No, I can kill it one second if you just left me alone to fight it. "

Razen argues back while lying on the ground with his two arms spreadings.

"No, it's your fault. You dumb guild leader!"

"What did you say?"

Razen is fuming mad after hearing Hachi.

He dares to tell him he is dumb. At this moment, he wanted to punch his face.

" Are you two not done yet?"

Grunter interrupted. His forehead is wrinkled by watching these two. He took a breath to put away his frustration. They need to hurry up to follow his party members and help them to save the village.

"You two stop it and let's follow them. Our party members were already left."

Razen and Hachi stop bickering and look at him, confused.

Then, the two looked around and found out that Grunter is right. There is no one around them, only the three of them.

"Waah. Where are they?"

Razen shouted and jump up. Looking from left to right.

"Tch. While you two are busy playing around. The others are now in trouble fighting the kobold that attacked the village. "

"Ha?"

Hachi and Razen both said.

Grunter just hit his forehead and walks out from the frustration given by these two idiots.

Blame these two, seems like they don't have an idea of what is going on. They didn't even listen to the conversation before.

[I wanna hit these two. They are hopeless]

"Don't waste more time here and let's follow them. "

After saying those words, he runs at full speed, leaving the two idiots behind.

Each who understands the situation laughed and wield his weapon.

"Hahahaha. I will save the village and become a hero. You!" He pointed at Razen who looks at him, scowling, "don't get in my way. Hahaha."

Then, he left and run at a full speed trying to catch up at Grunter's speed

As part of the beast clans, he has these strong legs to make him run faster.

Razen followed Grunter and Hachi. He doesn't want to be left behind.

Grunter turns his head and saw Razen and Hachi running, trying to catch up with his speed.

He saw now the valley, near
the village.

He stopped near the tree and looked down at the valley where the village was. They can see what's happening from there below.

"It is the Mayan village."

He said while looking around to watch his party members who are already defeated a few kobolds below.

'I can sneak out on the village".
Grunter mumbled.

Well, he will be going to use his skill and stealth and he became invisible. In that way, he can avoid fighting the beast.

Meanwhile, Razen saw the three girls, Astray, Yoshiyo, and the one who he didn't recognize, fighting some kobold.

He felt proud of his guild members. They can fight now without his help.

He felt like crying anytime now.

"I'm so proud of them!"

"Hahaha! Looks like it's fun. I want to join them and fight those monsters. Whahaha"

Hachi just arrived and became eager when he saw the others fighting the kobold below. He even roams his eyes to see Miyuki and Lily but he didn't see them.

[I wanna fight them so bad.]

He clicks his tongue.

[But after this quest, Haha. I can beat them. Hahaha. For now, let's kill this monster before me.

He suddenly jumps on the cliff. Leaving Grunter and Razen who are still watching.

"Bow down to the Great Hachi-same. Whahahaha!"

He landed on the ground with confidence and run to the nearest kobold who are alarmed at his sudden appearance.

He wielded his dual weapon and he crazily swung It in any direction.

"Whatahahahaha!"

Lily who is seating on the tree branch suddenly felt an uncommon vigor coming from the village.

She can't tell what is it. Seems like it's purposefully shown to them its presence to intimidate them.

She looks in Miyuki's direction and seems like he felt it, too.

She sighed. Its level is in the middle-high A-ranked beast.

Maybe between 120 -150. Higher than the Razen and the rest.

[I don't know if they can win against it. But I'm afraid with the others who are below 100.]

They might get killed.

She thought that she didn't want to interfere this time and let the others finish this quest.

"What will you gonna do?"

Miyuki asked.

He wanted to jump off below and help the kids but he respects Lily's decision.

"I know the kobold could conceal their aura and their true ability. So, earlier is a warning that we should run away and leave this town. "

"I think so. It's unusual for the beast to attack humans. What is driving them to do so? ?"

"Hmm, I agree. Seems like they haven't eaten for so long that they ransacked and ate the farm animals. The most I got worried about most is that they are capable to eat human flesh. "

Miyuki didn't answer. He is also worried about the kids but it is their need the most.

Experience.

They need to experience facing a monster who is more powerful than them so that they are ready to face the azure dragon in the future without fear and second thoughts.

For now, their safety is more important.

"Let's wait and observe for a while and wait for that monster to show before we go down. I need to see how powerful it is."

She blows in the air and sadly smiled.

"I wondered if I don't have this. What's my life in this world?"

Miyuki taps his shoulder but didn't say anything.

That's the thing she needs the most. He doesn't need to say anything and say he understands her. Just be her side is enough to feel better.

"So, what are we should gonna do? Help the kids"

"Let's wait and see!"

Meanwhile, the three girls Astary, Yoshiyo, and Airish were ambushed by the kobold beast.

Airish has a bruise on her both elbow and knees, a scratch on her lips, and torn clothes that almost revealed her D size breast.

She fought one kobold but suddenly it overpowered her. The bows she used were destroyed in just one blow from that beast.

Yoshiyo is healing her right now.

They are standing next to each other inside Astary's golden barrier.

Airish bits on her lips. She didn't expect this to happen. Five kobolds in the 97 levels attacked and overpowered them.

She didn't expect it either. When the kobolds attacked the villages earlier, she knew that they were only in a B rank, in 77 to 82 level except for the boss. Maybe their boss is in the 85 levels.

She was also thankful to the villagers that they are ready enough when the monsters are trying to attack them and they were aware that anytime, their village might be attacked. Earlier, their watchers saw the herds of the beasts, 100 meters away from the east side of the mountain,  marching towards the village.

They have enough time to evacuate all the villagers in the cave and hide before the kobold finally came. First, she planned to shoo them away but it attacked her first and all she could do was run away. Luckily enough that she stumbled upon this group of players and willingly offer to help her. 

And right now, she didn't know what to do. If she can save the villagers in the cave, just only 15 meters away from them, and these two girls with her.

"I will fly and carry you two."

Astary suggested while looking outside her barrier.

" B-but c-can you c-carry us two, A-astray-chan?"

Yoshiyo said in a soft voice, it's soft that it was almost a whisper.

"We don't have a choice. We will be killed before the others will come and rescue us."

"We can shout so that they will know where we are? ''

Airish suggested.

The kobold outside keeps hitting the barrier Astary created. Sooner or later, they will gonna break it.

The kobold angrily howls and keeps on scraping the barrier.

"But before they arrived, I'm sure we will die first."

Astary answered.

Yoshiyo looks at the ground. She was very worried about the others.

"Okay, okay but can carry two of us at a time?"

Astray stops and tilted her head at what Airish said.

She folded her two arms and think.

"Well, I'm not sure. My strength level isn't high enough. But we need to resort to my advantage."

Astray didn't think that it's this thing will h pen to her right now.

She put more on the mana and Intelligence than the EXP she gained in the past because it requires in her class. If she thought that she needed the most strength maybe she level up higher on her physical stat and boost her strength. 

"I rely on Razen and Grunter so much!''

She pouted at the realization.

"Now now, let's hurry and get out of this. Before they will gonna break the barrier. "

But before Astray can make a move.

A loud howl of the beast was heard all over the place that echoed twice in the mountain.

A howl of a beast confiding the others to go all out.

"W- what is that?"

The there girls flinched in a chilling howl occurred.

Airish asked with a worried face. There is an uneasiness inside her chest. Then, suddenly the kobold outside the barrier turned their eyes a bloody red.

Their claws are getting longer and longer, their body became larger than their original form and their saliva are dripping on their mouth.

One blows in the barrier forged a big crack in the barrier.

The three girls flinched.

They didn't encounter this kind of beast before.

"What the hell ha going on?"

"Airish chan? What should I do? "

Astray panicked.

'Where are you, Guild leader?'

The crack in the barrier is getting bigger and bigger.

The beast will gonna destroy her barrier.

"Wait, I e-will rep-pair it."

Yoshiyo said.

"Oh! holy mother of earth. Grant us thee your power to revered this golden barrier.

Hands of artisans.

Her hands are glowing and the golden light flies towards the cracked golden barrier.

Every touch of the golden lights on the broken barrier is repaired instantly.

"Wow! You are amazing Yoshiyo!"

The two girls squealed in joy when all of the cracks were repaired and turned to normal.

But the beast didn't stop there and continued to knock the barrier.

Then, an explosion occurred near where they are.

It's from the small church.

The village church was destroyed.

The kobold stops and looks at where is the explosion.

"What is that?

Airish said.

Then, from the smoke, she saw a silver-haired girl slowly walking from it. Her red eyes were glowing brightly with the sunlight.

Her hair danced in the strong wind.

The dark purple aura emits around her, giving goosebumps to every person who sees it.

" Begone"

In a cold voice, Lily disappear and appeared in front of one kobold and swung her scythe. The kobold's head fell to the ground, then she went into another kobold at a faster speed and do the same.

In just seconds the five got killed and disintegrated in thin air.

"Hurry up and follow me."

Lily shouted and run to the church.

The three girls followed instantly.

When they arrived, the whole place is a mess. The small church was destroyed, there are lots of beasts surrounding the area and their eyes are red.

Miyuki was fighting an unknown monster and they destroyed the houses because of the strong impact.

"Astray the barrier. "

Lily

"Yes, Lily chan. "

"Oh, God, Our Supreme Ruler, The king of the Heaven... grant us your poor Child. The power to protect... Golden barrier!"

Then, the golden barrier appeared.

James and Ryu who are injured run to the barrier.

"What happened? "

Airish asked and went to the Ryu side. And saw that his armor is broken and he has a wound on his chest and two arms.

Same as with James. His body has deep wounds on his left arm and back.

"L-Let me heal you! "

Yoshino also went to them and start to heal the two.

"Those fuckers ambush us. Damn, It's my first to experience a defeat like this. Those fuckers are at a high level than us! "

"We are both A rankers but those monsters overpowered us. We barely make it alive. If Miyuki senpai and Lily didn't come early. We were both dead. Huff! Huff!"

James explained while catching his breath.

He winced when his wounds hurt.

"Arggh. I need new armor," Ryu complains when he saw his armor was ruined.

"Ahm. Where are Razen and the others? "

Astray asked when she didn't see Raze! and Grunter with them.

"Lily told them, Razen, Hachi, Grunter, and Kyuri to go a bead to the cave and save the villagers."

"We were at advantage and we easily killed the beast but after the howling. They acted abnormal and their eyes turned red. And the next thing we knew, they were more powerful than us. Almost an A-rank level. "

''No way!!''

Aisrish exclaimed. She didn't know that this Kobold beast is at a high level. The one she fought was in the B rank.

The same thing happened to them. She knew that the kobold they encounter is already an A-ranked. But after the howling, the kobold acted abnormally.
