Ch.6
Hana and Neji walk through the store. Neji is completely jaded, while Hana looks ecstatic. Worst part, the two of them have been shopping for hours.
Hours. Yeah.
It was hours of having to give honest opinions, (which weren't all that honest on Neji's part) hours of sitting in dressing rooms, and hours of carrying Hana's stuff. Isn't slavery illegal? Cause Neji isn't so sure anymore considering his position.
"Can you hurry up? We've been here for nearly five hours! How much more clothing could you possibly look through?! Ow!" Hana flicked Neji in the temple.
"Oh hush! I'm almost done! Then we can get some food and leave, so just be patient. Anymore complaining, and I'm dragging you to the women's undergarments section!" That shut him up quick.
The idea of the sheer embarrassment he would endure makes his very skin crawl. And he knows by now that Hana doesn't bluff. She means every threat she makes. She has no shame, so nothing he can possibly do could ever embarrass her.
It's a curse for anyone on her bad side. Luckily, Neji is the only one still stuck there. So no one else has to endure this suffering. The other learned quick to just do as she says and don't complain. Your day will be much better that way. Don't learn?
It's horrible.
You may see Hana as over reacting, and a jerk. And she knows that people who've seen her bad side do indeed think of her in these situations as such. She doesn't do anything though. Because it's kinda true. And she knows that as well.
She's over critical when it comes to rude people. She acts cruller than she needs to. But she does it for the best.
You might not have thought about it this way, but once someone rude goes through Hana, it fixes their entire personality sometimes. Someone rude can be turned into a polite, helpful person. That's Hana's goal in all of this. It's just the fact that no one ever realizes. She acts like that for the other person's sake.
Once they see what terrors befell them from being rude to a seemingly innocent girl, they're too scared to be rude to anyone else. They realize that they can't just say whatever.
That, and the fact that Hana has come to enjoy their suffering. So she isn't a complete saint, but who is?
Anywho-
Neji was getting tired of this bullshit. Just hold on a bit longer, he thought to himself. And so he waited.
They finally walked to a vendor, and Neji set everything down at one of the outside tables. He let out a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, Hana came back from the before with one large plate of food, and one small bowl of soup.
She set the plate down in front of Neji, and sat next to him to start eating her soup. Neji could only stare.
"Huh? What're you looking at? Go on, eat!" Neji still looked confused.
"Sigh, your a handful, ya know?" IM a handful?! "Just eat! I got it for you, you wouldn't want to be rude and refuse my offer, would you? You did a good job today. You're the first person to actually make it through the entire day. This is your treat for being good. After all, you give your dog a treat when they behave, correct?"
Neji tried not to be offended as he started eating. He had to admit, he was very hungry. So he ate. And he didn't notice the soft smile that spread across Hana's face.
