_Lilly’s POV*_

“RING RING” the sound of the doorbell was heard. I rubbed my eyes and switched ON the light to check the time. There was a power outage due to the heavy rain which was accompanied by thunder and lightning. The doorbell rang again so I slowly walked towards the door. I got a glimpse of the time by the flash of the lightning. it was midnight. Fear started to creep up on me. The continuous pouring of rain, thunder and lightning made me shiver even more. There was no one home. I was curious to see who was at that time, so I peeped through the window and saw a black figure was standing in the utter darkness. My whole body started to sweat and shiver. I immediately lighted a candle. The doorbell rang again. I plucked the courage and opened the door. A figure was standing at the door with a black cloth wrapped around and was soaked wet by the rain. although it was so cold my body started to sweat and shiver at the sight of that figure. The figure started to talk, it said “I don’t know who you are, but please let me in, it’s freezing outside” I was shocked and didn’t know what to say. I said ‘I can’t help you, please search for another place’’ and I tried to shut the door. He immediately asked, “please then can I stay outside?” I felt guilty and permitted to stay in the front room. He was grateful and followed me inside the house. I was about to lit some more candles but then the power was back on. Then only I noticed him properly, he had ocean blue eyes and a mesmerizing appearance. He looked as if he might be the same age as mine. Water was dripping off from his light brown colour hair. I was lost in my thoughts and his voice startled me, “hello, Madam”. “ooh, sorry, wait I’ll give you some clothes” without expecting an answer I rushed to my father’s room and made all the arrangements for him to stay the night. Then with a sigh of relief, I said good night and went to my room. I shut the door behind me and rested my head on my pillow and drifted into a deep sleep without knowing he is the one who is born for me.
