PORTFOLIO ENTRY #6 !

i've hit a creative wall.

these r like the few things i've made recently that i actually like▬bc long story short, i'm trying to stop relying on exposure adjustments so much and it's not going well

i've basically got no clue what i actually wanna make, and so i've had to close the lotto section of this book indefinitely. but i don't wanna take a complete break from grfxs, so:

mutuals, u have free rein to spam the inline comments here with any grfx ideas u'd be cool with me trying (key word: trying) to make for u on a non-committal basis▬whether it's covers, manips, or gifs

[ i basically need prompts to practice with; and so i figured if i was able to make a few 'gifts' along the way, then that would make it more worthwhile in the end ]

moving on tho, i'm just gonna start with the two cover templates i made for dear reader. they're simple but i still think they're quite cute, and i'm kinda tempted to use them myself

next up is this little scene manip i made for the peter parker fic that's been rotting in my drafts since 2022. mcu lore actually makes my brain hurt and if this fic were to ever see the light of day, i feel like i'd need to talk thru the entire plot with an expert to make sure i've not created any plot holes bc when i say this is convoluted, i mean it▬you've got:

🕸️ erin james-pryde (my oc); who's heavily inspired by kitty pryde bc she's the coolest xmen character imo

🕸️ johnny storm at midtown high (by why not)

🕸️ a bunch of coming-to-terms-with-mutant-powers angst; plus reed richards discovering the x-gene while trying to help erin out (istg it makes sense in context, trust me)

🕸️ inter-dimensional phasing that's sort-of inspired by xmen: dofp but also done completely differently (aka my way of getting to tie in more xmen references as well as tobey and andrew's spiderman films)

🕸️ an actual (consistent) mcu societal progression regarding enhanced individuals (from post-battle of ny to post-civil war); one that properly establishes and addresses why a fear or hatred of mutants would make contextual sense given that so many superheroes already exist on earth 199999 (bc let's face it, the current mcu has not properly set this up at all and the sokovia accords are somehow no longer relevant post-endgame, which means a mutant registration act in future would kinda make absolutely no sense given that precedent?? kevin feige when i catch u)

🕸️ and a harry osborn mention (at some point)

anywhooo erin and peter r really cute xx

they're v much childhood best-friends (who secretly had massive crushes on each other) to strangers to friends to lovers

and then lucky last is just this cute little opening gif i made for can't catch me now as well (side note: if anyone has a better title idea, hit me with it)

the dna symbols r honestly my fav part like i just think it was so megamind of me to include them, and i can already tell they're defo gonna be a running theme across any grfxs for this fic in future
