Seeing the gang
Dylan's P.O.V.
"Hide in the closet in my room with Izzy until the gang comes as like a surprise or something," Destiny explains smiling ear from ear.
"What am I gonna wear? I don't look like a greaser anymore wearing a silk bow in my hair or wearing a light pink blouse with a white skirt and white flats," I sigh.
She looks up then down, "you're about my size, you can wear anything you want from my clothing. Let's go get you dressed like a greaser."
We end up picking a white sleeveless top, light blue with rips in them skinny jeans, sunglasses, red lipstick, a black (AN changed the color from the picture because her hair is red) bandanna to tie my long red hair back, even though it's a ponytail, combat boots and of course the signature black leather jacket. I look into the mirror before getting Izzy from Des and my mouth drops. I walk out looking over to Destiny, "I look like I did when I was nineteen."
"C'mon, you look hot," she laughs.
"Oh my god!" I squeal laughing a little bit at the end.
"Ready to be a greaser girl again?" Destiny asks.
"I'm not going back...am I?" I smile. What about Spencer?
"No, you're staying right here, where you belong, in Tulsa," she smiles as she hugs me handing me Izzy. "Now, go hide they'll be here any minute."
I look at her and smiles, "thanks."
"Don't mention it," she replies. "We all miss you. I'm gonna go switch back Izzy and Gabble."
"Okay, I miss my baby girl," I smile.
Sodapop's P.O.V.
"Can I change Izzy back into her original clothes it turns out I forgot to give them to her?" Destiny randomly shows up at my house.
"Okay," I shrug. "I'm gonna go take a shower, so just shout up when you're done."
"Do you leave her alone when you're in the shower?" She asks.
"I do it when she's napping, but if you're here," I shrug before walking off.
After a few minutes in the shower I hear Destiny yell, "done and I put Izzy to bed so you can stay in the shower."
"Okay," I shout back down. "Thanks."
Dylan's P.O.V.
"Guys, I have a small surprise," I hear Destiny announce to the gang.
"What is it?" I hear Lexi ask.
"Well there's gonna be one kid at this little get together," she informs them.
"Ugh!" They all groan.
"No,you'll like this one," she says. "I'n gonna go get it."
I hear footsteps up the stairs so I come out of the closet holding Gabble of course and I look over to Destiny, "are they ready?"
"Yea," she smiles grabbing my hand as we walk down stairs together.
"Thanks again," I smile.
"Guys," she yells as she pushes my behind her getting the gangs attention. "I found a lost doggy we'll say walking around Tulsa all alone with a puppy we'll say again and I just had to help them because I knew them. Well the names of the Doggy is Dylan Jueggers and the name of the puppy is Gabble Jueggers."
She pulls me out in front of the stunned gang and now I have the stage, "hey guys. I've missed you all and my friend Spencer told me to come out here. So, here I am."
"Are you going back?" Ponyboy asks as he walks up to me slowly.
"I don't think so," I reply. "I'm gonna have to go back for a week to quit my job, sell my house, get the rest of my belonging, and stuff like that, but I'm here to stay."
He hugs me tightly and I swear I felt a few tears on my shirt, "I've missed you so much big sis', you have no idea. I love you."
I return the gesture tears filling my eyes, "I love you too Pone and I've missed you much. You have no idea."
I look at Lexi and we both just run into each other arms breaking down in tears. She chokes out, "I love you so much Dyl. Please, never leave me again. Please. I don't know what I'm gonna do next time."
I whisper back into her hair through my sobs, "I'm not leaver ever again. I promise Lexi, I promise. I love you too much to leave again. I love you. You're the gonna be the godmother of Gabbles. I love you Lexi." We then just sat there hugging each other until Steve cleared his throat.
I looked up at Steve and just laugh. "what you missed me too and wanted to get your turn?"
He just laughs shaking his head happily before he speaks, "I guess you never lost your sense of humor Dyl."
"Never," I laugh. "Now where's my hug because, I know you missed you me so much and you're just dying for one."
He wraps his arms around my stomach, "I did miss you."
"I missed you too Stevie," I reply as we break away. "I'm proud of you for making it through that war. I know it was hard."
I turn to Johnny and just throw my arms around him, "I've missed you so much Johnnycakes. I love you and I'm also proud of you for making it through that war. I know it was a hard nasty war and I'm super proud."
"I love you Dylan," he mutters. "Thank you for that. I missed you too."
We break away and I turn to Evie both of us breaking down into tears. We both wrap our arms around each other and just cry there until I start, "Eves?"
"Mhmm," she replies.
"I think they'll all watching us," I chuckle. "Waiting for us to talk or something."
She breaks away laughing before we do just one more quick hug, "wow, Dyl, and just when I gave up hope of ever seeing you again."
"I'm just full of surprises," I giggle looking at me best friend.
"I've missed you," she admits looking away.
"I've missed you too Eves. It's what happens when you love somebody a lot and they leave," I reply holding back tears.
"Never leave again," she threatens.
"You'll come to California with me for odds and ends," I laugh.
"Works for me," she replies before I turn away walking over to Two-bit.
"Hey Kieth," I smirk.
"Don't call me that," he smiles as he tickles my sides slightly.
"I'll call you whatever I want," I smile.
"C'mere kid," he replies as he picks me up in a big bear hug.
"Ahh! No! Kieth! Put me down Keith!" I Squeal as I struggle out of his arms.
"Only if you say the magic word," he laughs.
"Uh Two-bit, please, cake, chocolate, greasers, marriage, Zo, Zoey," I start yelling, but none work. "Mickey." He puts me down smiling, "you really haven't changed."
"Nope," he laughs. "Now go get the rest of those grease balls."
I coolly walk over to Dally before just laughing as he says, "don't act cool Dyl, we both know you're a geek."
"Whatever Winston," I roll my eyes playfully.
"I missed you," he admits which is something I didn't expect.
"What?" I ask. "The meanest, toughest, hardest, Greaser, Dallas Winton, himself, missed me! You've gone soft Winston."
"Are you gonna hug me or just tease me?" He asks playfully.
"Hmmm," I fake think. "Tease...... Just kidding! Where's my hug?"
He wraps his large arms around me, "I love you kiddo."
"I love you too Dall," I admit. "So, how many kids do you and Lexi have now?"
"Uh lets see, six and one coming," he laughs.
"Oh my god!" I reply as we break the hug. I walk over to Emily and all we do is hug. It's all we need to do. Emily and I were never close, also we already know we missed each other. We already know that we love each other. It's not the same as the other greasers. The next person after Emily is, Bells, "hey Bells. How are ya?"
"Better now that we got the gang back together," she laughs as she hugs me. "Never do anything like that again. Ya hear kid?"
"I won't," I laugh. "Promise."
"Okay good," she laughs. "We all missed you."
"I missed ya'll too," I say forcing a ya'll out of my mouth before we break the hug and I walk over to Biz hugging her tightly, "hey."
"Hey kiddo," she replies kissing my head.
I can't help I just burst into tears right here, "I love you Bizzy."
"I love you too Dylan, but you have to stop crying before you make me cry," she says trying yo laugh, but her voice is cracking and you can tell she's ready to cry.
"I missed you so much," I admit. The truth is I've always thought of Biz like the mother I never had because, my mom and I were never close. Bizzy, she looks after to me as if I was her daughter. She's the mom of the gang and Darry's the dad.
"I missed you too," she replies as we break away.
I look over to Darry and hug him tightly, "her Darbear."
"Hey Dyl-pickle," he laughs using my nickname."I love ya kid. I missed ya."
"I love you too and I missed you too," I laugh.
After that we break apart and Two-bit looks around the room before asking, "now, I'm gonna ask the questions we all want to know. Why are you here? Are you Sodapop back together? Does Sodapop know you're back."
"I'm back because, my friend Spencer pushed me to come back seeing how much I missed it. Soda and I are not back together. No, he doesn't know. I'll be seeing him tomorrow and hopefully we'll work things out with the kids."
"He still love you," Pony blurts out.
"Do you love him?" Emily asks.
"I love him. I love him a lot," I admit. "It kills me being away from him, but he'll never take me back even if he does love me.
Darry looks at me smiling, "don't be too sure of that kid."
I shrug, "we'll see tomorrow I guess. Can we talk about something different?"
"Okay," Evie smiles. "Let's just catch up."
"Works for me," I smile sitting down.
The rest of the night we all laughed, some of us drank beers, but not me because I'm sober which surprised the gang, and we just caught up. It was like I never left.
Okay, I love this chapter. It's such a happy chapter. She's back in Tulsa and she's here to stay. Yay! I love it. This is gonna be the shorted book of the series, but it will also be the only one with an epilogue. I hope you guys enjoy this book and continue reading because, their long complicated journey will be coming to an end soon. Will it be a happy or a sad ending though? The world may never know. Stay gold Do it for Johnny!
