Chapter 4
"Hey listen." Tim says as he pulls down the large doors to the garage. "Adam, if you want to go ahead and leave you can. I know you have plans."
"Are you sure?" Adam ask, really wanting to go home to get ready for his date. But felt guilty in leaving Tim to clean up.
"Positive, I got this. Just go and have a good time." Tim say as he reaches for the broom.
"Thanks, Timmy. I owe you one." Adam says as he clocks out and leaves, locking the door behind him.
Tim sighs as he watches Adam pull away. He really envies Adam having a relationship. Tim hasn't been with anyone since him and Jenika broke up almost a year ago. Their break-up hurt him so bad he was almost scared to trust his heart to someone.
His mind slips to the small blond with the pretty eyes. He could easily find out who she is through Avi. But he wouldn't stand a chance with her. She was way out of his league.
Tim hadn't realized he had zoned out with his chin resting on the broom handle staring at nothing in particular.
"Tim, I didn't know you were still here." Rob said from the door, breaking him from his thoughts of the girl, Kirstie. "Are you alright?"
"Yea." Tim answers more sad than he meant to sound. "I'm alright. I was just finishing up."
He sighs and puts the broom away.
"How's your finger?" Rob ask, while waiting on his friend to finish up.
"Sore as hell." Tim smiles as he turns off the lights in the garage and turning on a security light.
He and Rob walks out of the station and heads to their vehicles.
"Tim, you're more than welcome to come eat supper with me and Kelsey tonight. We'd love to have you over." Rob says as he starts to get into his car.
"Thanks but I think I'll just go home, drink a few beers and maybe watch some television." Tim says as he unlocks his jeep.
"That don't sound too exciting for a Saturday night, especially for a handsome single hunk like you." Rob grins.
"Thanks." Tim chuckles. "But that's how all my Saturday nights plays out."
"Well, Okay. But if you change your mind just come on over. If not, I'll see ya Monday." Rob says before starting his car and driving away.

Tim grabs the mail from his mailbox before walking into his lonely apartment. He walks over to the small kitchen table, thumbing through the mail.
"Bill, bill, and bill." He sighs pitching them down on the table. He heads to the bathroom to take a quick shower, coming out wearing only his boxers.
He goes to the refrigerator and grabs a beer and a t.v. dinner. Putting the dinner in the microwave, he puts a fresh band aid on his finger while his food cooks.
He sits down at the table and pops open his beer, looking down at the small dinner in front of him.
Again his thoughts goes to the blond in the car. He sees pretty girls every day at the station but after they drive away, they're forgotten.
What is it about her that keeps haunting his thoughts. Her eyes, her crooked little smile. Something in the pit of his stomach, tells him that she's not as bad as she seems to act.
He throws the empty dinner container into the trash. Grabbing another beer, he sits down on the couch and stares at the black screen of the television. He wonders how she is spending her Saturday night.
He can bet she's ate more than a t.v. dinner and a beer, probably a t-bone steak and a glass of white wine. Or possibly at a club somewhere, maybe with a Ken doll look-a-like boyfriend or her high class friends like that jerk she was with at the station.
He shakes his head trying to remove her from his thoughts. Grabbing the remote, he turns on the television and starts flipping through the channels.
He comes across the movie 'Titanic' with Leonardo Dicaprio. He had never actually seen the movie but had heard so much about it. Since it was just starting, he thought he'd watch it.
He shakes his head at the theme, a poor guy meets and falls in love with a beautiful rich girl. Then he realizes that Rose was not happy with her rich life. Could it be the same with Kirstie? Was it all an act to please her family and friends?
He gets comfortable, crossing his legs while resting them on the coffee table. He chuckles quietly to himself when he realizes that he actually had a tear rolling down his cheek from the sadness of the movie.
He yawns and lays down on the couch, laying an arm across his eyes. Why did he even watch that stupid movie in the first place.
NOW he WAS depressed.
