Chapter 31

The weekend slipped by way too fast for Kirstie. She had the time of her life.

As they came back into to town, they were all too exhaust to go home and fix something to eat. So they decided to stop by a restaurant to grab a bite.

The waitress delivered their order and they begin to eat with just idle chit chat.

"Well, well, well. If it ain't Tim Foust." A female voice says.

Tim freezes as he is lifting a fork of food to his mouth. That voice. He knew exactly who it belonged to.

Kirstie and Avi look up at the beautiful blond standing by their booth.

Adam rolls his eyes. "What the hell do you want Jenika?"

"I don't believe I was talking to you, Adam." She answers with quite an attitude.

Kirstie quickly looks at Tim sitting next to her. He had somewhat of a panicked look on his face as he lowers his fork.

"You think I care? Just keep walking, you're definitely not welcome." Adam says giving the blond an annoyed look.

She rolls her eyes, turning her attention to Tim.

"So how are you doing, Hun?" She asks in a sassy manner.

Tim takes a drink of his beer trying hard to ignore her. He feels Kirstie gently rub him on the leg under the table.

"Oh, how rude of me." Jenika laughs. "I'm Jenika." Holding her hand out to Avi.

"Unfortunately, we've heard of you." He says in a low voice, meeting her eyes. Leaving her hand, unshaken.

"And you are?" Jenika says, turning her attention to the petite blond sitting next to Tim.

"Kirstin." Kirstie answers with a sense of pride. "Kirstin Maldonado."

"Of THE Maldonados?" Jenika asks, her eyes widening.

"Oh, I see you've heard of my family." Kirstie says with a smirk.

"Yes, yes I have." Jenika replies with a fake smile. "Well, Tim. Looks like you learned something from our relationship. Go where the money is."

"Just get the hell away from our table, Jenika." Tim growls. "And stay the f*ck out of my life."

"Now is that any way to talk to someone you were so in love with." Jenika chuckles.

"The thought of ever being in love with you totally sickens me. Luckily I found someone who has shown me what love really is." Tim says.

"Sure, as long as she keeps slipping big bucks into your pockets." Jenika laughs.

"LISTEN HERE, YOU B*TCH!" Tim shouts as he slams his fist on the table and jumps up from his seat, knocking over his beer.

"TIM!" Adam says loudly, grabbing his friend by the arm.

"Is there a problem over here?" The manager of the restaurant asks as he hurries over.

"YEAH! HER!" Tim shouts pointing at Jenika.

"That's Okay. I was leaving anyway." Jenika smirks, turning on her heels and headed for the door.

"Good." Tim says as he sits back down.

Kirstie and Avi were busy wiping up the spilled beer with the few napkins they had.

"Uh, can we have more napkins, Please." Kirstie asks with an apologetic smile.

The ride home was uncomfortably quiet. Tim stared straight at the road in front of them as Kirstie stares out her side window.

Tim walks into their apartment, throwing his keys on the table. He plops down on the couch with a huff.

Kirstie walks in and sets her purse down on the table. She glances at her boyfriend who was staring blankly at the black screen of the television.

"Would you like for me to get you a beer?" She asks.

"No." Tim answers quietly, shaking his head slightly. "I'm sorry, Kirst."

"For what?" She asks sitting down beside him.

"For letting her get to me like that." Tim says, hanging his head. "I shouldn't have lost control."

"I thought you did pretty good." Kirstie smiles, pushing his hair behind his ear.

"God, I hate her so much. She ruined me." Tim says.

"Stop it." Kirstie says taking him gently by the chin. "All she did was show how stupid she really was. I really should be thanking her. Because of her being such a dumb*ss, I now have what she threw away. And I couldn't be happier."

She leans over kissing him softly on the cheek. She starts to kiss him again at the corner of his mouth but he turns his head slightly so that their lips connects.

"I love you, Tim. So much." She whispers softly as they stare into each other's eyes.

"I love you too, Baby." Tim says softly as he caresses her cheek.

"Don't you have a doctor's appointment in the morning?" Kirstie asks with a yawn and she snuggles in Tim's arm.

"Yeah, I'm hoping he'll release me so I can go back to work." Tim says, resting his head on her's. "Sounds crazy, but I actually miss working."

"I'll miss you being here." Kirstie pouts.

"Well, you and Avi can always hang out while Adam and I are at work." Tim says as he plays with her fingers.

"One thing I need to do is make a doctor's appointment." Kirstie says.

"For what?" Tim asks. "You alright?"

"I'm fine. I just need to get on the pill." Kirstie says, smiling up at him.

"So you're actually going to do it?" Tim asks with a slight smile.

"Of course." Kirstie says, raising up to look at him. "Why wouldn't I?"

"It's just that, I had asked...." He stops mid-sentence and shakes his head. "Never mind."

"She wouldn't do it, would she?" Kirstie asks.

"No. She thought it was funny and said that I was just being a pansy." Tim says, looking down at their hands.

Kirstie huffs in angry. "I just want to kick her ass all over this town."

"She's two feet taller than you are, Baby Girl." Tim chuckles.

"Hadn't you ever heard, dynamite comes in small packages?" Kirstie huffs. "I have you know, Mr. Foust, you are looking at a black belt in Tae Kwon Do."

"For real?" Tim asks with a smirk on his face.

"Yes, for real." Kirstie says sternly. "I could kick her ass and still manage to wipe that smirk off your face."

"D*mn." Tim chuckles leaning away from his girlfriend. "Easy there, wild cat."
