"Okay, horse face." Those words slipping out of Australian Man's mouth in a flash.

An instant silence spread across the room, suffocating anyone in its path. Tears welled in Beth's eyes as she ran out of the room. Ellis glared at Aus and ran after Beth.

Sobbing is heard from Beth's and Ellis's shared room. Ellis felt a pang in her chest, as she laid a hand on the door. "Love, may I come in?"

A click of the door is heard and Ellis walks in, closing the door behind her. She wraps Beth in an embrace as Beth silently sobs.

After a while Beth asks "Were.... You lyin' when ya said I was pretty?"

"No, I wasn't. Why would I lie to you about that?" Ellis asked, dragging a finger across Beth's jaw, saddening as she feels the leftover tears on her finger.

"To spare my feelin's. I know I'm pretty ugly..." Beth said with a sniff. She looked away from Ellis, more tears falling down her face.

"Listen to me. You aren't ugly... You are fucking breathtaking. I light up as soon as you walk into the room. And besides, even if you were ugly, looks don't matter as much as personality. You have a heart of gold, love." Ellis said, wiping Beth's tears.

"Really, darlin'?" Beth asked in surprise.

"Really. I love you, so, so much." Ellis answered. "Now I'm gonna go kick Aus's ass."

"Darlin', no." Beth replies, grabbing Ellis's hand. "Cuddle me instead?"

"Of course love." Ellis says, playfully booping Beth on the nose. She takes Beth into her arms, as they silently enjoy each other's company. She kisses the top of Beth's head as Beth falls asleep in her arms.

Ellis looked at the sleeping beauty in her arms and smiled. She could not ask for a better girlfriend. She silently puts the blankets over the both of them. Kicking Aus's ass can wait, she thought, slowly lulled asleep by Beth's breaths.
