Regrets

Grayson Edwards

I turned off the lights to the locker room, and began to walk out of the school, when I heard the voice of an angel.

I followed it to the music room, and leaned against the doorframe. Her back was away from me as she played the piano and sang.

She sounds better than yesterday, and her voice warms me from the inside out. I bet under those rags and behind those glasses is a beautiful girl.

My God, she gives this song her heart and soul. How could we all not know the talent of this girl? The harder she plays, the harder my heart beats. I hate myself for the pain she felt because of me through school.

She stopped playing and hung her head. She's so sad, and my heart shatters when she hides her face in her hands and starts to sob.

I felt a tear trail down my own face as I watched her shoulders shake from crying so hard, she sounds like a weeping angel. I wiped the tear from my face, and decided to leave her alone for today.

I couldn't shake the feeling of grief that came over me. I laid down on my bed and stared up at the ceiling wondering what her eyes must look like without glasses. I bet they sparkle in the light, and I can already tell she has soft skin.

My door cracked open, and in walked Katheryn. She shut the door behind her and undressed, before she crawled up on my bed and straddled me.

I just looked at her, but didn't really see her. My mind was somewhere else when she released me from my boxers and rolled on a condom. I squeezed my eyes shut as she sunk me into her. I replayed Mary's song in my head the whole time Katheryn rode me. She threw her head back and was tightening around me, when I thought about the end of the song. Mary's angelic weep took me over, and I pushed Katheryn off me.

"What the fuck, Grayson?"

"Get out!" I said as I tore off the condom, and pulled up my boxers.

"I'm not leaving!"

"We are not going to pretend to break up, Katheryn. We are broken up. You're blackmailing me and the guys, so don't you ever think I'll ever take you back." I said.

"You're ridiculous, Grayson. What's the big deal?"

"You're an immature bitch, that's the big deal. I honestly think you get off on hurting people less fortunate than yourself. The girl has talent, so why can't you just be fucking nice for once?"

I threw her shirt at her.

"Look who's talking." She said.

"You're right, I'm a fucking prick, but I'm growing up, Katheryn. My God, we are old enough to vote and be drafted into the military. Life is about to get real, so you better straighten up your shit and act your age." I lightly grabbed her arm and led her out of my room.

"Don't come back here." I slammed the door in her face.

I climbed into the shower and leaned against the wall, the way her cries affected me isn't something I can explain. That song and her voice has me all mixed up.

What the hell is happening to me?
