Issue 36: ... And Justice for ALL

"Uhhhhhhh... Huh?... Wha? Wh-where am I!?" I shouted as I sat up from a bed. I looked around and realized I was in the medical room of the Freedom Base.

"Ah, how good of you to join us, Marie." Freedom Fighter said in the doorway. Adrian and Carmen were flaking him on both sides and Paris had been sitting next to me with a magazine in her hand. I jumped out of the bed and grabbed Adrian before pinning him against a wall.

"What did you do to him!?" I shouted.

"I didn't do anything that bad to him, yet!" Adrian said.

"Marie, that's enough." Freedom Fighter said with his arms crossed.

"What do you mean that bad!?" I threw my fist back and was about to punch Adrian when something kept my fist from connecting to his mouth.

"Thank you, Force Fighter." Freedom Fighter said looking at Carmen. "Now, Marie are you ready to listen?"

"No! Because clearly nobody listens to me so why should I listen to anybody else!?" I said.

"Because you're going to want to hear this. And if you did listen to me you wouldn't be in this predicament."

"What are you TALKING ABOUT!?" I said turning to him.

"If you listened or had let Force Fighter and Time Fighter finish their jobs we would've stopped that villain before he let you get lured into his friends little trap. You're lucky Force Fighter went back with Sword Fighter or we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"DO YOU HEAR WHAT'S COMING OUT OF YOUE MOUTH!? IF YOU HAD LISTENED TO ME AND IF THOSE IDIOTS DIDN'T ATTACK (Y,N) NOT ONLY WOULD HE HAVE STOPPED ME FROM GETTING STABBED BUT HE PROBABLY WOULD'VE ACTUALLY CAUGHT WINTER! IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT I EVEN LET MY GUARD DOWN LONG ENOUGH FOR HER TO GET ME!" I shouted.

"Don't take that tone with me."

"YOU'RE NOT MY DAD SO STOP PICKING AND CHOOSING WHEN YOU WANT TO ACT LIKE ONE! FUCK!" I shouted before holding back tears. Paris looked like she wanted to say something and even Carmen looked like she felt bad for me but they both looked away once Adrian glared at them.

"Are you done?" Freedom Fighter asked me. I nodded. "I can tell you're upset, but that doesn't change the fact that you've not only ignored my orders but you're too emotionally linked to this case for some odd reason. That's why effective immediately you're suspended from work as Street Fighter-"

"Good! I don't want to be a stupid 'Freedom Fighter' anymore, anyw-"

"And I'm taking you out of that school." He finished his sentence. I felt my heart stop.

"...what?"

"I don't want you going anywhere near that (Y,N) anymore and on Monday Adrian and Carmen will be putting a stop to him for good."

"Sweet." Adrian said before I quickly turned around to hit him in the face with my fist. It stopped an inch away from his face. I started quietly weeping.

"Now come along, while we go over our plans to take care of (Y,N) and to finally give me the recognition I've been waiting for since D-Day S.H., I'll also be deciding the rest of your punishment." Freedom Fighter said as he walked off with the twins following him and Paris awkwardly looking at me.

"You can't do this! (Y,N)'s literally done nothing wrong! It's only his friends and even then it's his one friend who's a villain! Not him or the rest of his allies!" I said following them.

"Oh really? What about his mother?" Adrian said.

"I recall her giving the Truth Seekers a hassle back in the day." Freedom Fighter said.

"...Alright, But What are you arresting (Y,N) for!? He's not planning some mastermind scheme! You can't arrest him for just being normal!" I said.

"And that's why we're going to the meeting room." Freedom Fighter said flicking on the lights. All of the sudden I froze and so did everyone except for Freedom Fighter, who was looking at me and not forward. "So we can deal with him once and... for..." Freedom Fighter said turning around. He lifted his goggles up to get a good look at the guy with a question mark mask sitting in a metal chair with a small laptop on his lap.

"H-how did he get in?" Paris asked quietly and horrified. It was like she knew him. He looked up at us.

"Good evening." He said before Adrian started running towards him with his sword.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU-" Adrian shouted before the man quickly stood up and put the laptop aside before folding up the chair and smacking the sword out of Adrian's hand before smashing the chair over his head. We all just stared at him and Adrian's unconscious body before Freedom Fighter cleared his throat.

"Anonymous! What a wonderful surprise! I'd say take a seat but I see you've found your own!"

"Freedom Fighter. See you're still as unlikable as ever." The guy said sitting back down in his chair.

"Ha! What a jokester you! If I do recall, it was you who would always butt heads with Paramour! May I offer you a drink?"

"No thank you. Won't be staying long. Came to have quick discussion then leave." Anonymous said before walking towards the main super computer in the lair before plugging it into his laptop. "Found security cameras. Keeping up with news, I see."

"Well you know me, just-"

"Trying to find next tragedy to exploit." Anonymous said before the supercomputer turned on. The screen showed what looked like the inside of someone's closet. Anonymous started walking over to us and Carmen, Paris and I backed up.

"Uhhhhhhh Anonymous do you really think that-" Freedom Fighter said before Anonymous grabbed his tie.

"Quiet, Hughes, you'll speak when I let you!" He said with a booming voice as he grabbed Freedom Fighter by the tie. It was the first time I'd heard anyone talk to Freedom Fighter using his real last name. "Made mistake keeping stupid hipster style. Especially when you're middle aged and a bloated media whore nowhere near your glory days." He said before dragging him to the screen. "Heard you've been keeping an eye on (Y,N) (L,N). Name sound familiar?"

"I-I-uh-"

"Spit it out."

"N-not Really! I know my daughter has taken a liking to him at school and he was apart of that dreadful attack on the carnival earlier today!" Freedom Fighter lied. Anonymous looked over at me and I quietly screamed as I jumped back.

"...Good Evening, Ms. Owens." He said before looking back at Freedom Fighter. "If Name isn't important than how come this camera is attached to shirt worn by (Y,N) earlier today? Found while he laid unconscious in front of me. Saw blinking light on shirt. Found near stab wound made by similar sword just pulled on me by your star pupil." He said.

"It was what!?" I said angered. Anonymous slammed Freedom Fighter's head into the computer's panel.

"A-Alright look! The kid is-"

"Stop talking, Hughes! Before I turn you into the crippled old man you deserve to be! I'm going to say this once: stay away from (Y,N) (L,N)! If I hear any of your brainwashed lackies besides Ms. Owens interacts with him again, you'll find out how hard it is to fight for freedom without any hands! Do I make myself clear!?"

"Alright Fine! Fine!" Freedom Fighter said. "I promise we won't touch the kid!" Anonymous let him go and put his hands in his pockets.

"Understood." He said before walking over to behind the supercomputer. He walked back out with an ax in hand. "Just to make sure." He said before slamming the ax through the laptop. He then drove it through the screen of the supercomputer repeatedly until it started sparking and it's cables spilled out like guts. He threw the ax aside and pulled out a small Grenade from his pocket. He casually walked towards the security room, which was a small room covered with nothing but old TVs everywhere except the door and the floor and threw the Grenade in before closing the door. "Word to wise: Retire. Don't need liars like you sticking around. Corrupting the minds of youth like Ms. Murphy. Not necessary." He said before walking past us before stopping at Paris. "Disappointed in You." He then turned to Carmen. "Be better than brother. He's already too far gone. You can still be what you want to be. Actually make a difference." Then he turned to me. "Good kid. Don't change. Stay in school. Eat vegetables. Don't do drugs. Never be famous. Always be Anonymous." He said before walking towards the elevator out of the base. "Good talk. I'll be going now...

See ya." He said as the elevator doors closed on him.
