In the oven I baked; it was not heaven that I saw

It was ten thousand devils, maybe more

People roasting without smoking

Their crackled skin was glistening

People writhing, as the devils stood and stared

And no one cared

Ghouls, I thought, the seeds you sow

Greener grass on the other side grows

You cannot hide within these covers all day, where the sun cannot reach you

So, take a chance and walk away, no one is stopping you

Will, you ever learn, don't you want to see where the light of day once fell

It never rains, it only pours

A new day is dawning, if only you had not strayed

Your beating heart has been torn to shreds by the mistakes you made

You left this world to be on your own, yet you never stop craving

And whisper, there is not a tomorrow coming

And the night begins to fade, daylight doesn't come as the curtain falls
