Looked and looked

for the spark

that we once had

before life plummeted on us

used chat all night

telling stories of childhood

running through the hall

of memories

All the things we used to do

stay up all night

high on sugar

until sun signaled a new day

so young and sweet

and innocent, we were

running through the hall

of memories

If I could go back

find that spark

where I left it

would hold onto it forever

to find a way

to relive our childhood

before life plummeted on us

May find the spark

where it went out

May find the spark

in dark corner of the alley

May find the spark

somewhere in the dark
