All throughout the Mystery Shack, the kids slept peacefully. Even Grunkle Stan had fallen asleep with Mabel in the basement. He had drained himself dry of his energy, finally closing his eyes and laying his back on a wall. Mabel supported her body on the back of the swivel chair, sitting backwards in it. She laid her head on top of the back of the chair. The noise of the portal served as a humming lullaby to the girl.

Across from the living room, the front door yawned open, slowly. In the doorway was Gideon, along with the group of monsters. Before Gideon could unthinkingly enter the shack, Toffee stretched out an arm to hold him back. Toffee knew they needed to be stealthy to get in. Right across from the entrance, Toffee could see his target. A darkly haired boy and a blonde girl slept peacefully. The blonde held a purple wand that shown a gentle pink light.

Gideon glanced up at Toffee, the lizard man's arm still guarding his path.

"You walk in like this, it will get us caught."

Gideon was startled by Toffee's seriousness and moved aside. The monsters took control. Lobster Claws held open a dingy bag to capture Marco in. He approached first, trying his best to be quiet and slick. Following him, was a red horned two-headed monster. Toffee saw Star's wand in her hands, however, didn't bother. What he wanted from the wand, only Star could do. Unlike Ludo, Toffee didn't want Star's magical wand. Besides, he came here for Marco.

While the two monsters were careful not to wake the teens, they attempted to throw Marco into the sack. The two-headed monster forcefully scooped up the boy, immediately throwing him into the sack.

Marco instinctively woke up, knowing he was in trouble. It happened in a flash and Marco's eyes tried to see in the pitch blackness to find who had attacked him. In the sack, Marco tossed and squirmed.

"Hey," he said. "Let me go."

He knew it was no point to resist. His kidnappers wouldn't let him go, even if he begged them to. Though, he still tried to argue.

"I know karate!" He yelled. "You won't get away with this!"

Marco continued to yell, even trying to call for Star. But unfortunately, no one came to save him. Although he was blind to the outside world, he could hear everything around him. So, he made an effort to listen in on the voices of who captured him. He could hear growling and another kid's gleeful laughter.

"Well done, monsters." A voice chimed in.

He stayed silent and stopped his attempts to fight back. Marco realized the monsters had come back and kidnapped him. He hollered once more.

"Star will come for me and once she does, you monsters won't stand a chance!"

Toffee beamed at Marco's comment. He was well-aware Star would be back for Marco. And once she did, she would have to pay the price for Marco's ransom.

The fourteen-year-old boy overheard the sound of a portal ripping open, coming into existence. Before he knew it, Marco was being carried into the portal, long gone away from his best friend, Star.
