Episode Twelve 'Afforded Glory.'
Dipper and Mabel were sitting in the kitchen waiting for Ford to make them breakfast as he had promised. Ford hastily put out a fire on the stove before the twins could see it and he went back to making his pancakes.
"Don't worry kids! The flapjacks will be ready soon!" Ford assured them.
Soos walked into the kitchen and yawned. "Morning guys." He walked over to the counter and began making himself coffee.
"Heya Soos, why do you look so tired?" Mabel asked.
Soos shrugged. "I think there was a raccoon or something outside my window. It kept Melanie and I up all night pounding on the glass."
"That's odd," Ford said, glancing away from his burning pancakes. "I heard some sort of frantic shouting last night. I wonder what got the animal in such a fit."
Before everyone could start to theorize they heard a frantic pounding on the kitchen door. Mabel opened the door slowly and found Gideon standing in the doorframe with a blue book in his hand. He looked like he hadn't slept at all.
"Gideon? What are you doing here again? And what's that book?" Dipper asked.

Gideon, Dipper, and Mabel were now seated at the couch in the living room while Soos tried to salvage Ford's breakfast. Ford was pacing back and forth in front of the couch.
"So you're saying is just flew into your room? How is that even possible? I lost this journal in another dimension!" Ford exclaimed, turning the book over in his hands. It had a black 4 written on the front with the classic golden six-fingered hand. Though this book hard a dark blue binding instead of the red the previous three journals had.
Dipper raised his eyebrows. "Great uncle Ford I didn't know that you made more journals."
Ford sighed and nodded. "Well, back when I was journeying through the multiverse I felt obligated to chronicle whatever I discovered. This is one of the journals I filled during my time. I lost them all during one of my confrontations with Bill."
Gideon nervously kicked his legs. "I'm sorry I can't tell you anything else about where I found it, Mr. Pines. It really did spook me though, after what that demon did to me I don't want anything to do with this sort of thing. If it's alright with you all I'd like to just go home now."
Ford gestured to the doorway and nodded. "Go ahead. Thank you for bringing this to me. I have much to uncover now..." Gideon got up and left the Mystery Shack. At the same time, Archer walked into the living room.
"What's all the hubbub?" Archer asked. Ford quickly explained the events that had just transpired and Archer put his hands behind his head. "Dang. I'd love to help you Ford but I have to run."
Mabel jumped up. "Archer, where exactly do you have to be?"
Archer looked away and cleared his throat. "Uhm just reconnaissance. Y'know searching for those Freaksions and the like." Archer hurriedly left the room.
Mabel huffed and sat back down. "He's definitely up to something. And I'm going to find out what!"
"I wonder what he's hiding. Maybe he has like-a bat cave!" Dipper theorized. "Oh, or he's talking to aliens or something!"
Mabel stood up. "We have to go find out!" Dipper nodded and the twins ran out of the room without Ford noticing.
He inspected the pages of the journal and furrowed his brow. "Oh, dear. I have to go see Fiddleford about this." He shut the journal and hurried out of the Mystery Shack.
"Who wants pancakes?" Soos asked as he walked into the now empty living room holding a tray of fresh pancakes. He sighed and started feeding them to Waddles.
Dipper and Mabel trailed after Archer has he walked into town. He looked around and walked into a bookstore.
Dipper crouched under the window and squealed with joy. "He's probably going to go buy some ancient book and uncover a super mystery!"
Mabel's eyes shone with the possibilities. "Or he's going to reveal his secret interest as a unicorn hunter!" The twins slipped into the bookstore and watched their uncle pick up a book and open it. Though it was obvious he wasn't looking at the book and instead was looking at the girl managing the cash register, her name tag said Emily.
Dipper frowned. "Aw, man! He doesn't have a secret life,"
"Even better," Mabel whispered. "He's in love."
Ford knocked on the door to McGucket's mansion. The door opened as he knocked and he stepped inside. The interior was a complete mess. Papers were scattered everywhere and half of the ceiling seemed to be charred.
"Fiddleford?" Ford called. Glancing around nervously.
"Howdy Ford!" Old Man McGucket shouted, appearing from seemingly nowhere.
"AH!" Ford jumped away and whipped out a ray gun before putting it away once he realized there was no threat. "Goodness Fiddleford you nearly made me lose my second heart."
"Aw shoot sorry 'bout that Ford. Well anyway, welcome to my new shed! Sorry if it's a bit messy, the raccoons are foraging for food." Fiddleford said, leading them into the living room which was currently partially on fire.
Ford stepped over an open wire and sat down. "It's quite alright Fiddleford. I'm sorry I came on such short notice."
Fiddleford perched on the edge of a chair. "So what brings you here Ford?"
Ford showed Fiddleford the blue journal. "This was brought to me. It's one of the journals I filled out during my interdimensional travels. When I inspected it I found that it was full of cryptic new writings that I fear are from an all too familiar foe. The Cipher Family."
Fiddleford didn't move for a second. "Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy." He got up and walked away as if he was in a trance, Ford stood up and followed his friend.
Ford chased after McGucket and put his hand on his shoulder. "Fiddleford... are you ok?" Fiddleford began to laugh.
"Oh, boy Ford. They're back again! Oh boy!" McGucket laughed louder and louder.

Dipper and Mabel strolled over to archer with their heads held high and Mabel cleared her throat. Archer quickly slammed the book shut and looked down at them. "Oh Dipper, Mabel, I didn't know you two were here. I was just... uhm... looking for something to read."
"Oh uncle Archer, you think we don't know?" Mabel flicked her hair. "Well lucky for you we figured it out and now you have the professional help of the love doctor and her sweaty assistant!"
"Hey!" Dipper protested.
Archer bit his lip. "I-I don't know what you're talking about kids."
Mabel crossed her arms. "Play dumb uncle Archer, but you'll come crawling back to us in no time. Let's go Dip!" Mabel confidently walked out of the shop.
Dipper sighed. "I'm not that sweaty." And he followed after Mabel.
Archer took a deep breath and went up to the counter with the book in hand and set it down. The cashier smiled up at him as she rang it up.
"Back again? You sure do read a lot." Emily said.
Archer chuckled. "Well, uh I like books." He told her.
Emily rung the book up. "I'm glad there's another avid reader in this little town! I'm not even sure if some of these people can read." She joked, letting out a little chuckle. Archer wanted to say something but instead just paid for the book and stowed it into his bag and then left the building.
"Wow, uncle Archer! You didn't sweat at all. Better than Dipper's ever done." Mabel said, leaning against the glass window. "But you've got to ask her out!"
Archer glanced down at her. "I don't need advice from a kid, I've got this under control."
"Trust me, uncle Archer, she doesn't know anything about how us guys work. Especially us Pines guys." Dipper told him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Archer asked.
Dipper began to rub his hands together. "Uhm well you know, we don't like to rush into those sorts of things." He stammered.
Archer sighed. "Look, kids. I get it, you want to help. But I can handle adult things like this." He walked away from them.
McGucket had managed to calm down enough to listen to Ford's plan. "If we just build a new quantum destabilizer that can take all three out at once. And then the odds are they'll stay away if it even exists."
McGucket shook his head. "Ford I don't know about this. These Ciphers are bad news. Can we even build something like that?"
Ford nodded. "I'm sure we can. I'll contact Rick and the three of us can work on it. With our minds together there's no way we can fail. Do you think you could help me with this project?"
"Oh, I don't know. I-I don't want to fanangle with that sort of quantum hocus pocus Ford." Fiddleford told him, anxiously wringing his hands. "I can't do it! I'm sorry Ford but I just need to forget it all!" Fiddleford ran off into his mansion.
Ford darted after him. "Fiddleford! Wait!" Ford stumbled through the wreck of a mansion as he tried to keep track of where Fiddleford was going.
McGucket had reached some sort of machine and began pounding on it. "I need my robots! They can help! They'll stop those Ciphers!" The building shook and Ford had to lean on a wall to keep from falling over. He stared up and saw a small robot fall on top of him.
Ford leaped out of the way and took out his ray gun. The robot charged at him and Ford fired multiple blasts at it, but they bounced harmlessly off of the machine. "Oh no." Ford groaned.
Archer walked back into the bookstore and approached the cash register. "Oh welcome back! Is there something you need?" Emily asked.
"Well uh, I wanted to ask you if you'd be interested in uhm... reading... uhm." Archer quickly lost his train of thought. "Uhm. Excuse me." Archer quickly rushed out of the shop and groaned. "How did I screw up that bad?"
Mabel and Dipper walked up to Archer grinning. "Well uncle Archer that wasn't perfect, but you almost tried," Mabel told him.
"Not now," Archer growled.
"We just want to help," Dipper told him. "Just hear us out. We've been around this town before."
Archer sighed and looked at them. "Alright, let's hear what you've got."
Mabel smirked. "Well, the love doctor here has a Ph.D. in asking people out. Think of what you want to say, be cool, and drop the question."
"And try not to stammer. I mean I know I do but it helps not to." Dipper added.
Archer nodded. "Alright. Let's give it a try." He walked into the store one more time and back up to Emily. "Sorry about all of that. I wanted to ask you, would you be interested in going out with me?"
Emily smiled at him and nodded. "I'd love to! I get out of work at 6, how's dinner sound?"
"Sounds good," Archer said and he walked out of the bookstore with a big grin on his face.
Dipper and Mabel were waiting outside anticipating what he would say. "It went great. Thank you both. Sorry, I was so stubborn about it all, I definitely still need help re-adjusting to talking to people."
Dipper and Mabel high fived each other and congratulated Archer. "Don't mention it, uncle Archer, the love doctor is happy to help those who need it.
Ford was pinned down by the robot and couldn't reach any of his other weapons. "Fiddleford! I know you're scared! And it's my fault! It's all my fault! I swear I didn't want to get you involved but... I need your help! I can't do this alone! And I'm scared too! I don't want to see my family hurt by those Ciphers anymore! Please help me!" Ford cried out.
The robot was ready to strike him and McGucket slammed the robot away. Fiddleford helped Ford up and sighed. "Thank you, Ford. I'm happy to help you."
Ford smiled at his friend and embraced him. "No Fiddleford, thank you. It's great to have you on the team. A microwave fell from a high shelf and landed right next to them.
"We should get out of here," Ford said.

End credits.
Eyegnome bore down over Gremoblicorn, tapping his foot impatiently. "What's the holdup this time?"
Gremoblicorn sighed. "Eyegnome as I've told you, the Shapeshifter's soul wasn't strong enough to replicate the Cipher's. So I cannot create the conversion without a Cipher soul."
Eyegnome threw his hands into the air. "I can't believe this! We have to summon those other Ciphers?"
Gremoblicorn nodded. "Indeed. Have your time agent ensure this plan doesn't fail. If we mess this up there is no second chance and they'll destroy our new playground."
"Will do. Now we have some havoc to cause in the town so we can pacify the Pines during this plan." Eyegnome said and he began to laugh.
