"Final round: Talents"

A/N: okay that ending on the last chapter must have been the worst. And right now sitting in a haunted house feeling crowded is uncomfortable. And I just braided a small part of my hair. FABULOUS! Btw the drawing up there I made myself. Sorry if it looks awful lol Anyways, please enjoy this adorable chapter even though it's close to the very end!

Dipper felt stoned. There was barley anyway for him to move. But at last, he felt his mouth being able to move. He was finally able to take a deep breath. He was finally feeling his arms and legs and saw he was no longer a statue of stone. "Wha-What happen?" He asked himself.
He looked at the entire stage and saw everyone was finally coming back to their flesh selves. He watched his sister finally moving, Grenda, even Pacifica and everyone in the audience. "Oh my gosh. Candy did it!"
Suddenly, a white glow came up. Dipper almost went blind by the beautiful light. He finally looked up and saw how Candy, her form as a she-demon, was changing. Her skin was becoming peach again, her green highlight disappear and her outfit came back to her beautiful white dress.
As people were still changing back to their flesh skin, Candy began to slowly fall down to the stage right far from Dipper and finally was back to her old self. Dipper tried to look for her adorable face, but she was still lifting up and hiding her face with her black hair. Her glasses seemed to be off her since they were next to her. So was the crown.
He ran to her and tried to help her stand on her feet again. He hope she was abele to hear him. "Candy? Candy! Are you okay?"
He finally saw her face and it broke his heart. She looked so sad and upset. Her eyes were like non stop waterfalls and she could barley speak with her black hair messy. She had a few bruises on her cheeks but they weren't noticeable.
He didn't know what to do.
"I'm... I'm sorry." She whimpered as she looked up at him.
As she was learning how to walk again, Pacifica Northwest saw them two and felt she had to ease drop. She was considering to call the police and make her forfeit for such a crazy action.
"I'm so so sorry." Candy said softly. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen Dipper. I'm so sorry I hurt you, you're sister, Grenda.... everyone."
Dipper felt tears reach his eyes but he was able to hold them. He was standing on one knew and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Hey." He said getting her to look up at him a little. He grabbed the glasses and handed them to her. "I'm just happy you're back and okay."
She finally smiled at him with a final tear drop falling down her cheek. Pacifica felt awful seeing her competitor go through this with her own anger. She then had an idea. Candy then put on her glasses and stood up with her new best friend. But then she almost fell. "Actually," she said. "becoming a evil monster has a lot of burning flames inside of a demon. And everything hurts."
Dipper almost wanted to laugh but he didn't.
The audience and everyone were back to normal. They wondered what had happen to them. They couldn't remember. Their minds were as weak as ice. Only when it's melting. But some seem to remember.
Mabel and Grenda stood up, facing some costumes. They were still a but backstage. "Whoa. What happen?" Mabel asked.
"I could be wrong," Grenda groaned. "but I think you, me, and Thomas were going to eat some aliens in Canada."
"Excuse me ladies?"
They both looked up and watch mr. Northwest stomping onto the stage with anger. The judges were following him. Seemed now all he had to do was convince them to forfeit Candy Chiu.
Mabel and Grenda began to remember what happen and follow mr. Northwest. But they were being followed also by Gerald Chiu. He only hid in the shadows to watch.
Dipper finally walked Candy to the backstage as the curtains were being fixed. But they stopped once the tall adults were in their way. Mostly mr. Northwest. "Now you have seen that she had cheated!" Mr. Northwest said to the judges. "She has stolen the crown and gone into a crazy bipolar chaos!"
"Uh it wasn't bipolar man." Dipper said. "I don't even saw how that worked."
Candy blushed a bit embarrassed but grabbed the crown that was next to her foot. "I'm very sorry everyone. I was just so upset about what had happen the last time I competed. And how I was gonna lose again, I just didn't want to get lose by Pacifica again. Now I see, having friends and family are worth more than some magical crown. So anyways, I'm really sorry." She reached it up to the judge who loved pulling his ear. She didn't want to see the disappoint on his face when he looks down at her. But she should have looked up.
"Now I demand this little girl to forfeit!" Mr. Northwest demanded to them.
The three judges glance at each other in silent. Usually when that happens, Dipper knows that means they'll have to agree. He knows they're gonna have to forfeit. How else can Candy compete after all of that nonsense?
They smiled and looked at mr. Northwest. "Well I'm sorry mr. Northwest," the woman judge said. "but I believe miss Chiu has every right to compete still."
Then their jaws were dropped, nearly hitting the floor. "Huh?!" They all said.
"Yes indeed the pageant was ruined by her," the old man said. "but she was doing one thing that barley any girl from a beauty pageant does: being herself. Also saying how sorry and honest she was for her mistake. That is some amazing courage I see. A good person is what I see in her."
Candy and Dipper just couldn't believe it. She's not forfeiting!
"But... But she almost it destroy the entire town and pageant!" But mr. Northwest wasn't giving up.
"Oh we'll live!" The other judge said. "We have at least one last thing, which is the talent." He looked down at Candy and said "Good luck miss Chiu."
Then the three judges left back to the audience, with a stuttering Northwest following them. Poor guys.
Dipper and Candy cheered in victory. "That's is so awesome they're still letting you compete!" Dipper clapped.
Candy then blushed at him and said "I know! This is amazing." She then ran to Dipper and hugged him a but tightly.
This hug was a but awkward but it made him feel even more better. Especially cause it was from her.
"I would squeal and take a picture of this, but I'm a bit too offended."
Their hug was pulled away and they seemed to be seeing a very angry Mabel and Grenda.
Oh boy...
"Girls!" Candy was a bit happy but worried with their anger with her. "You're both alright! I'm so sorry I turned you both into stone... and called you losers. You two really aren't and I didn't mean all that."
"It's okay Candy." Mabel smiled at her with Grenda.
Candy looked puzzled. "It is?"
"Yeah. We all make mistakes and don't think before we speak. You should see me in California at school."
"Same here." Grenda laughed.
"Besides, I want to know why you both wouldn't tell us you were competing."
"Ladies and gentlemen," sheriff Blubs said on the mic. "Sorry for the disturbing action moment, but now we will finish our final round of the talents."
"Oh no!" Dipper began to panic. "The talent! What about the costumes?"
"Oh yeah. I forgot."
"What?" Mabel asked.
"Look, I'm so sorry about our fight Mabel." Dipper said to her. "But I promise, after this, I'll explain everything. But right now, we need a plan about Candy's talent cause our costumes are ruined."
"Not anymore." A voice had spoken to them.
The three girls and one boy turned and saw the blond girl walked towards them with no emotion on her face. But she was coming towards them with a line holding one outfit. It was a sparkly red devil's color with beautiful matching sparkly shoes. But that's because that outfit is her new costume!
"Ooh! Fancy!" Mabel clapped.
Pacifica walked to them with guilt on her face and says "I'm very sorry for ruining your costume. I guess I was only listening to what my dad wanted and the costume was the only thing I could think of. I shouldn't have done it. And I'm also sorry for the pageant you competed in last time. I didn't know it was my father who threw that tomato at you."
"Wait, what now?" Mabel was completely lost.
"Like I said Mabel, I'll explain later." Dipper said.
Candy smiled at Pacifica as she looked down to her fuzzy boots. "It's okay Pacifica. Beauty pageants can make people do crazy things."
"Yep."
"Pacifica Northwest, on the stage please." The announcement said.
"Gotta run!" Pacifica said as she ran towards the curtains to face the audience once more.
"We got to get ready!" Dipper said getting their attention back up.
"Yay!" Mabel cheered. "Can I do Candy's makeup?"
"If you can hurry in the next few minutes." Candy said. "We're right after Pacifica."
"Well come on!" Grenda said running to the dressing room with everyone else.
As they were getting ready, Pacifica was again doing another one of her favorite talents. She had done singing once, painting, doing tricks. Now today, Pacifica was playing the piano. The music she was making was simply beautiful. It sounded like a lake that was beautiful, filled with nothing but swans honking gracefully at the trees as the moonlight hit their feathers. Pacifica was pretty good and she thanked her mother for that special talent.
It kind took about four minutes but once she was done, the audience clapped for Pacifica's amazing talent. As they were clapping, Mabel and Grenda finally ran back to their seats and sat back with Gerald Chiu. "Thanks for holding out seats." Mabel said.
"Not a problem at all dear." He said.
She felt awkward now that she knows about who he is. But she did agreed with Grenda on one thing. Why was her there?
"Hey I forget." Grenda said. "What are they doing?"
"Something with dancing. That's all I heard."
"Up next ladies and gentlemen, our final competition for the night, is miss Candy Chiu and her talent!" Sheriff Blubs said. "Her talent will be fabulous dancing with her partner, Dipper Pines, with the very known dance call 'the old train station routine'!"
Everyone clapped and cheered excited.
"Oh my gosh!" Mabel squealed. "Dipper is so good at this dance! He would do it all the time for school of a talent show!"
"Awesome!" Grenda clapped.

(Another quick note: sorry lol but just so you know, I'm not really good at describing dance moves and all so I might have change a few things. Forgive and continue!)

By then, the lights dim down. But then a few lights that were hitting the stage, had revealed Candy running across the stage with two briefcases and a hat that was useless. Dipper was on the bench in his costume sleeping. The train horn went off, basically saying it was gone. She had disappointment on her face. The horn basically was suppose to wake Dipper up. Candy then made one of her briefcases stand on it's own and sat on it looking so sad and alone. Dipper pretend to notice her sadness and did what he knew next on the dance routine. He walked towards her and did the same thing to her other briefcase. He was then sitting next to her. She noticed him and looked away a little. Then Dipper started to tap his feet. Candy looks at him but he looks away and stops. But then she started to tap her own feet. He looks at her surprise. Then they both started to tap their feet. They did some awesome dance moves by kicking out their legs and they stood up off the brief cases.
"Whoa." Mabel whisper so she won't sound loud and ruin their dance. "Dipper dances this routine much better with a person other than some toy."
"Yeah." Grenda whispered. "And this is a perfect picture to take." She then grabbed Candy's phone and took a picture of them.
"How did you get Candy's phone?"
"I stole it when she was getting ready so I could get a photo of them two."
"You're a genius." Mabel winked at Grenda.
Candy then ran up to the stairs as Dipper followed and was at the top as their dance went on. Then as she jump towards he grabbed her waist catching her. Then he lifted her up making her do a cart wheel. After that, they shook their hips standing next to each other and moving that feet. They did a tapping tie moment. Then they both clapped at the same time moving to the right.
Dipper then grabbed Candy's hand and spun her around and they gave each other a high five and were done.
Everyone applauded as they were done and rose up from their seats. They we're impress and amazed. Mabel and Grenda kept clapping and cheering as loud as they could.
They bowed to the audience and stayed where they were when until the curtains were closed. Once they were closed, they gave each other another high five. "That was amazing!" Dipper said.
"It was great! You did awesome!" She said.
They both then left the stage so she can change again. But then they stopped and saw the blond Northwest looking at them. She smiled and said "You both were great. I gotta take some lessons from you both."
"Well it takes years of practice but thank you." Dipper said.
"And we'll consider it." Candy winked.
"Now I need to know where the restroom is."
"Down that hall, third door on your left." Pacifica pointed.
"Thank you." Then Dipper ran off to the bathroom.
Pacifica then turned back to Candy and smirked. "I should have known you both were planning a dance with him. You both did perfect."
"I hope that's a good thing." Candy really hope so.
"It is. Trust me. And my love bar is telling me that there is a future for you too." She winked.
Candy kinda blushed and looked shyly on the floor. "Well uh..."
"It's okay." She patted Candy's shoulder. "I won't say anything. Just do one thing for me."
Candy hope it wasn't something bad when it's coming from Pacifica.
"Don't let him leave you. He's the one thing that could make you happy."
She was surprised Pacifica said that. After all these years of hating each other with her friends, look at where they are. She smiled towards her and said "I'll do my best. Thank you Pacifica."
Pacifica winked and then went to her friends. Candy felt a bit better that now she has no enemy. She only had hope that she had made this all worth it.
Dipper came back out and walked towards her with a smile. "The bathrooms are actually fancy here. I should go here other than Mystery Shack one."
"Agreed." She winked.
It was true. The bathroom of Mystery Shack is like New York City's bathroom.
Suddenly, the two of them could hear evil laughter. They looked around didn't really see anyone laughing. But then they saw one of the mirrors have a reflection but no one was standing in front of it. They then saw a familiar yellow one eye triangle inside and only hope he won't attack.
"This won't be the last time you'll see me!" He yelled to them. "You can't keep me out of your dreams or memories! And when is all worth it, I'll make sure you both suffer!" He then started to fade away out of the mirror. Then the two kids could see their own reflections.
"Oh no." Candy was now worried.
Dipper smiled to her and said "Don't worry. There's no way Bill could possibly get us and reach into reality. There's nothing to worry about Candy."
"But he can come into our dreams. He certainly came into mine."
"But he can't hurt you in your mind. Especially when I'm around."
She smiled towards him and hugged Dipper again. She does feel a bit safe with him. He blushed and hugged back, feeling she deserve it.
He never thought he would make any friends during this summer. Sure he has Wendy and Soos. Now he has his best friend right next to him.
They pulled away from the hug and Candy rubbed her neck a bit embarrassed. "So do you think the judges might have liked our performance?"
"Only one way to find out." He winked.

To be continued...
