"Beauty Pageant begins"
A/N: okay everyone! Time for it to actual begin! I'm not good with beauty pageants so I hope this won't be bad. If it is, please understand my slowness lol anyways, enjoy.
Cheering was in the air from the crowd. It seemed hard to believe everyone could fit inside by how crowded it was. Mabel and Grenda kept looking around for their friend but found nothing.
Suddenly a man walk to them and ask "Excuse me dears, but may I borrow this seat?"
"Sure thing." Mabel said smiling.
The man sat next to the girls and looked up at the stage as the girls did.
He had black jet hair that kinda loop up, almost like Gideon's hair. He wore square shape glasses and had a small mustache. He wore a fancy suit but it was brown while his tie and pants were black. He was one dapper man.
"I don't understand." Grenda said to Mabel. "Where is she?"
"I don't know."
"Something wrong dearies?" The man asked.
They both looked up at him. Why does this man care? "Oh, well you see," Mabel started to explain. "Our friend and my twin brother have been hanging out for a while and it made us wonder something was up. Then we saw them walk in the backstage and assume maybe they're on a date or something."
"But we don't see them anywhere." Grenda said.
"Well, I hope you'll find your friend and twin. That is a bit strange." He said scratching his mustache.
"Thank you!" Grenda said.
"What brings you here?" Mabel asks. "You're so fancy."
"Why thank you." He smiled. "Well my daughter competed in this competition when she was seven, and my wife called me and said she's going again. I just wonder what made her want to do this again. So far I'm here to support my daughter, like I didn't get the chance to do many years ago."
Grenda and Mabel were pretty surprise that a nice and fancy man like him would be almost here for his kid. Seems he wanted to apologize mostly. They both smiled and Mabel said "I'm sure your daughter is a great person and she's gonna win."
"And you definitely seem like a cool dad." Grenda said.
He smiled at the two girls and said "Thanks girls. It means a lot to hear that."
"Here come our princesses!" Sheriff Blubs announced on the mic.
"It's starting!" Mabel said getting excited.
They may be still looking for their friend but the pageant is interesting sometimes. This is Mabel's first pageant to see in person.
All the girls came out in their beautiful dresses. There were so many colors. Red, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and the oddball that makes her unique, white.
Dipper walked onto the side of the stage to watch the pageant and watch the girls walk out. He spotted Candy walking with them. When he finally saw her in her dress, he was amazed. She looked so beautiful and she's not even wearing her glasses for the occasion. Good thing he found her contacts.
One girl at a time walked up close to the judges and started an introduction for one another. One girl came up and had orange hair and wore a beautiful magenta dress.
Candy began to feel worried about this. What if she messes up? She looked at the audience and saw her mother in a seat recording. At her mother was there. But then, two seats behind her, she spotted two girls. One was large and had a muscular voice cheering and the other was a small one and had late braces and wore a fabulous sweater. She gasped as she recognized her two best friends were in the crowd.
She looked back and saw Dipper standing on the side of the stage watching. When she got his attention, she pointed to the audience.
Dipper saw his twin and Grenda and gasped. "What are they doing here?" He asked himself. Now this was gonna get bad.
Pacifica was next and she walked up to the audience looking fabulous in her pink dress. "Hi, my name is Pacifica Northwest, I'm from Gravity Falls, and I am the number one winner of all time."
Everyone clapped for her introduction, even though it sounded very silly.
Then she walked off stage with that smile still plastered on her face.
"These girls look awesome!" Grenda said.
"Yep. And look at that one." Mabel pointed to the one girl who wore the white dress. "Her dress looks amazing with her black hair."
"Yep. But she looks familiar. Doesn't she?"
Mabel tried to look closer. "Yeah. She almost looks like..."
"Hi, my name is Tiffany Johnson," the next girl said. She had brown beautiful hair in ponytails and wore a strapless blue dress. "I am from New York and dream is to be a professional cook in Paris."
That seemed pretty good. Everyone clapped for her. The judges seemed to like her. The old man kept rubbing his ear, which usually means he likes someone.
She left the stage and next up was Candy. She was so nervous. But he practiced with Dipper and had to do it. She has to win. She walked across the stage and hope Mabel and Grenda didn't recognized her.
"There's my little girl." The man smiled as Candy walked on the stage.
Grenda and Mabel kept looking at the girl. She looked so familiar to them. Then it finally hit them.
They gasped together and said the name that had pop into their heads. "Candy?!"
Candy heard her name from the two and tried to ignore as she looked at them. As she did, she saw the man sitting next to them smiling at her. She couldn't believe it. But then she remember what we was suppose to be doing.
"Hello," she finally said. "My name is Candy Chiu, I am from North Korea and I love to solve the mysteries in this town."
Everyone clapped for her as well, enjoying her introduction. Even the judges seem to like her. In the audience, mr and mrs. Northwest had their own seats sitting together. They watch Candy leave the stage and mr. Northwest did not look please. "She's back." He said to his wife.
"The little Chinese girl?" Mrs. Northwest asked.
"That's right. She look pretty without her glasses, but she's gonna look ugly when she loses again."
Candy went to the back stage and began to search for Dipper. Either he must have told Mabel about her secret, or something. There should be no reason why her two best friends were there. But more importantly, he was there.
"Well well well."
She jumped by how the voice came suddenly out loud. She looked around and saw no one was talking to her. But once she turned her back to face a mirror, out came the one eye creature once again. "Someone defiantly is looking adorable!"
"Oh, thanks Bill." She blushed by his flattery. "I guess taking off my glasses was a pretty good idea to make the judges like me."
"Not only that your glasses being taken off showed your cuteness, but also because you're completely different. Korean and very creative is kinda what they needed."
Candy never thought being different could show she was unique. There weren't really any Korean girls and she's the only one. Dipper's ideas with the mystery solving must have made her creative. Seems this night was getting better and better.
"Now there's only one way you can knock that judge's ear off." Bill said making an ear appear and he pulled it off.
It kinda scared Candy. But she was up for anything with Bill.
He made the ear disappear and said "All you need is a great costume. Instead of wearing that lame one you are choosing, why not wear the Cleopatra costume?"
Candy looked a little surprised. Wearing a Cleopatra costume? But she and Dipper have already decided for the one they picked out.
"Oh. I don't know. I mean, me and Dipper did pick out one and-"
"Hey Candy!"
She turned and saw Dipper walking to her with a smile. Now this was gonna be hard. She whispered to Bill that remain in the mirror "Quick! Hide!"
"Oh, right!" Bill said disappearing. Soon his figure was gone.
Dipper finally caught up to Candy and asked "Who were you talking to?"
"Uh... myself." She said. "It's a nervous habit."
"Well you have no reason to be feeling nervous Candy." He smiled. "The judges really seem to think you are amazing."
"You think so?"
"Heck yeah! Heck that one Jude kept petting his eat anytime he likes someone and might pull it off when he sees your dancing talent."
"Aww thanks." She blushed. She started to think about Bill's advice on the costume. Maybe she will get their attention with that other than the other one. "Hey Dipper, I was thinking, do you think we can change from the original costume we had plan to the Cleopatra costume? I think I might look much better in that."
Dipper looked surprised at her. Why did she want to change costume ideas all of the sudden? And is there even a Cleopatra costume? He thought she wanted the original one. She even said she like that more than anything on the pageant. "Well, I don't know. I don't think they have one here."
"They might. You never know." She said.
"Well..." He wasn't so sure now.
"There you are darling!" A woman's voice said.
The two looked back and saw a woman and her daughter talking. The daughter was wearing the Cleopatra costume. Looked like that was a total bust.
"Uh nevermind." Candy said realizing she won't be able to wear it. But then she remember her friends. "Hey wait. Why are Mabel and Grenda here?"
Dipper began to worry she won't believe him. "I'll be honest, I have no idea. I kinda got into a fight with Mabel last night and today and I guess she and Grenda followed us here or something."
"Well now what do I do? I can't go back out there and they know I'm in the pageant."
"Maybe they won't recognize you. You don't have your glasses on and they might have not heard your name. It's gonna be okay. You can't give up. You can do this."
She smiled as he believed in her. It was nice to see he cared and believed in her.
She began to remember the man sitting next to them. She couldn't believe it still. She didn't think he showed up.
"Well come on." Dipper smiled getting her attention again. "Let's get your costume."
She smiled and walked with him to the costume room. They were ready to get her costume.
To be continued....
A/N: lol yes another continue. The next one might be hard but I hope you all enjoyed this and know exactly who that man is. Not only that, what Bill is planning. See y'all very soon!
