A/N: OMG SQUEALING TIME!!!! Well not yet. Later in the chapter everyone I bet will be cause it's sooooooo cute!! I hope you all will enjoy this fabulous chapter!!

The next day came and it was the final before the pageant. Candy was invited by Dipper again so he can help her a bit more before it's too late. She walked up to the door as knocked on it. Then it was open by an hideous old man wearing his pants instead of his work suit.
"Hey kid." He said.
"Hi mr. Pines." Candy said with politeness. "Is Dipper here?"
"No. Not at the moment." He then let the little Korean girl in and closed the door a bit concern. "Why?"
"Uhh..." Candy tried to think of an excuse to use so he doesn't find out about her being in the pageant. "We're suppose to look up a creek that we found in Oregon."
San wasn't fooled. He knew something was up. Also, why would any girl wanna hang with Dipper so much? "Mmm hmmm." He smirk at he. "What? You gonna kiss him since he's your boyfriend?"
"What? No. We're just friends."
Stan still wasn't fooled. He chuckled. "Well let me tell you kid, he is a pretty good boy and it's hard to find men like him. And I think you being his friend change the sucker's life. I mean, now at night he actually goes to sleep smiling. And that's kinda weird but also cool."
Candy was a bit surprised. Dipper smiles at night now? Because of her?
"Really?"
"Yep." Stan winked at her. "Now if you two ever need to talk about the birds as the bees, you can always come to me."
Candy didn't know but all her life, people say she wasn't ready for learning the birds and the bees. She's probably not sure she wants to learn it yet. Especially from Stan Pines.
"Okay then." She lied.
He smiled and headed back into the living and Candy went up the attic and decided to wait for Dipper. She still was surprise he smiles at night now. It makes her wonder if she has that ability to make others smile. She always believe Dipper was cute and handsome but doesn't try anything since it's obviously he'll never like her. Right?
Once Candy had made it up to the attic, she thought she had spotted Dipper in the room. But then she was kinda disappointed and scared. But that's how twins work. You can get confuse with the wrong one sometimes.
"Hey Candy." Mabel said as she walked up to her best friend.
"Hi Mabel." Candy said.
"What are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming."
"Oh. I was gonna see your brother."
Mabel looked concern at her friend. "Really?"
Candy nodded.
"I hope you don't mind me asking Candy, but why?"
"He's helping me out with something."
She said smiling still.
Mabel was very confuse. Her friends never really want to hang out with anyone. Only her. "He went out to help Soos on his butterfly bet. He should be back soon." And then Mabel knew what could let her say. "Hey, wanna do each other's makeup and do fashion?"
"Well..." Candy looked down at the floor feeling a bit sad. "I brought something's and I need to set it up. And it takes a long time."
Mabel looked disappointed. "Oh."
"Maybe another time?"
"Yeah. Sure. I'll be downstairs if you need me." Then Mabel walked down the stairs and went into the living room to be alone.
Candy felt pretty bad not to spend time with her best friend, but she had to be ready for the pageant since it starts tomorrow.
Mabel stayed in the living room for about twenty minutes and was chewing a piece of her hair. She was so sad and worried. Just then, Wendy walked in and sat in the recliner with her. "How's that hair tasting buddy?" She asked.
"Wendy I need some advice." Mabel said. "Do you think I'm a great friend or sister?"
"Oh, well I have to say sister, cause you sure feel like to be my little sister. Why?"
"Well, cause me and Dipper were fighting for that secret room a long time ago that Soos found, and he told me that he was jealous I hang with my friend more than him."
"So what's the problem?" Wendy asked.
"For some reason now, he's hanging out with Candy more than me. I think he's trying to use her to make me feel how he felt."
"Oh Mabel." Wendy wrapped her arm around her small friend. "You know Dipper would never do that. He's your brother."
"I don't know." Mabel still remain sad, even though the hugging was making her feel better. "Candy never wants to hang out with me anymore. She just wants Dipper."
Wendy's eyes widen and she had a huge grin on her face. "Ooohhhh!"
Mabel looked very confused at her teenage friend. "What?"
"I think I know why she wants to hang with him more than you."
"Really? What?"
"Because she might 'like' him."
"Well of course she does. She says he's like a brother to her."
"No. Not like. 'Like like' him." Wendy winked.
Mabel still didn't get it. Until an idea popped in her head and she was starting to wonder. "You mean, like how you use to like Robbie?"
"Yep."
Mabel's eyes were huge and she covered her mouth from squealing loudly. "Oh my gosh! I didn't even think of that!"
"It could be possible." Wendy said. "Your brother is cute."
Finally the door open and Dipper walked in about to head up the stairs. He saw his crush and sister on the recliner. "Hey guys." He said.
The girls couldn't help giggle. But they were lucky to hide their faces. But Dipper wasn't fooled. "What? What's so funny?"
"Oh. Nothing Dipper." Mabel tried her hardest not to sound like she is laughing.
"Well okay. Hey is Candy here?"
Mabel tried to hold it in. It was so hard for her.
"Yeah. She's upstairs." Wendy answered.
Dipper thanked Wendy and then headed up the stairs and tried to ignore the laughter from the two girls.

After two hours on the costume picking ideas on the pamphlet, Candy and Dipper were just thinking of what to do for her talent.
"Okay, so what do you like to do?" Dipper asked her. "It has to be unique, different, and interesting. And you have to do different ones if you've done this for years."
"Which I didn't." Candy said. "I've done singing so I gotta try something new."
"How about art?"
"I'm not talented like Mabel."
"Photographic?"
"I don't think so."
"Writing?"
"Okay, who does that for a talent?"
"Not sure but this is definitely hard. There's gotta be something."
The two children tried to think of something. There is probably nothing much. Dipper really wanted to help her. They were quiet for a few minutes but then Candy had an idea. "How about dancing?"
Dipper lifted his head towards her. "Dancing?"
"Yeah. I know the dance to 'the old train station' routine. It was back in the nineteen forty's."
"Wait, you know the old train station dance?" Dipper asked do surprise.
"Yes I do."
"Oh wow. I use to do that dance with my mom when I was a kid. And I still kinda do it when no one is around."
Candy started to wonder if he was telling the truth. She thinks he's lying just to make her feel better. Like, how could he know the dance all the sudden? She needed proof. "Show me."
"Well..." Dipper was a little embarrass to say this to her. "... the thing is... I can't really do it alone. I have to use one of Mabel's old dolls just to dance."
Candy wasn't falling for it. She sigh and jumped to her feet. "Dance with me then."
Dipper rubbed the back of his head a little nervous. "Well... I don't know Candy..."
"What? You chicken?" She teased him. She knew teasing him will make him so it.
"No I'm not chicken."
"I think you are." She started making chicken noises.
So far her teasing was working well like a charm. Dipper smirked at her and stood on his feet. "Alright. Let's do it."
He walked to her and grabbed her waist. Then he lifted her up making her do a cart wheel. After that, they shook their hips standing next to each other and moving that feet. Candy was really amazed by how Dipper was moving so well. They did a tapping tie moment. Then they both clapped at the same time moving to the right.
Candy smiled at him. "You really do amazing."
"Told ya." He smirked.
Downstairs was sorta quiet a bit. Mabel was really concern on Dipper and Candy. Her best friend and brother? That's ridiculous.
Mabel laughed just thinking about it. "Nah. There's no way that Dipper could be liking Candy. For heaven sakes, he likes Wendy. He's never letting her go."
She walked to the stairs and suddenly heard loads of stomping and thudding. She was a bit concern as it was coming from the attic. What were they doing up there?
She decided to investigate. She walked up the stairs quietly so no one could hear her. The stomping and thudding became louder as louder as she continue to walk up. She finally made it up to face her door. She turned the door nob and slowly and quietly open the door. She them took a peek.
She was surprised. She was watching Dipper and Candy.... dancing?
They were tapping their feet a lot. They jumped back and forth. They walked to the left and tapped their feet some more. Then Dipper grabbed Candy's left hand as swirl her to him but then lost his balance, including her, and they fell on the floor.
Mabel covered her mouth and tried not to make any sound. She watched her brother lift up seeing himself being on top of Candy. He gave a small smile along with her and then outta nowhere, they just both started laughing.
"What?" Mabel didn't understand it.
"Okay. That was unexpected." Dipper said.
Candy just stared at him, wondering how long he'll be looking down at her. She blushed at his actions. Dipper started notice he wasn't doing anything to get off of her. He started blushing and then stood on his feet. She grabbed his hand as he helped her up. Then they both were standing on the wooden floor.
"Well..." She said smiling. "That was fun."
Dipper chuckled. "I think we found the talent. Now you're really prepared."
Candy smiled at him as he look at her smiling as well. Although, the one thing they didn't notice was that they hands remaining holding each other.
Mabel watched closely, wondering when they'll let go. But they never did.
Dipper felt really hot in his face as he continued to stared at Candy. He started to realized his hand was holding something. He look and saw the hands locked together. Then he slowly let go of her's making her realize that they never let go. She hold her hands together blushing and he put both his hands in his best pockets.
This was definitely awkward.
"I guess..... we gotta try and practice before tomorrow." Candy said to break the silence.
Dipper nodded understanding.
"Hey Dipper!" They heard Stan's voice from downstairs. He yelled pretty loud. "Your girlfriend's mom is here to pick her up!"
Dipper groaned. "She's not my girlfriend Grunkle Stan!"
Candy blushed even more and couldn't help but smile. This was kinda funny.
"Well I guess your mom is here." He smiled weakly as he felt embarrassed from that yelling. "Sorry about Grunkle Stan."
"It's okay." She said still having the smile on her. "They're silly. That's all."
"So um..... wanna meet that pageant or the shack?"
"I was thinking the pageant. Seems as if we already know what we'll be doing there."
"Well alright. High five!"
Then the two share a high five. Kinda surprising for them to do one. But they are friend's.
But then they stared at each other one last time. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, Candy leaned in gave Dipper a kiss on his cheek. He was blushing red and was very surprised. He stared at her as she blushed at what she had done. They both smiled at each other awkwardly.
Candy started to feel she must leave. "I think I better go no-whoa!" She was walking backwards and accidentally tripped on a ball that was on the floor.
Dipper gasped a little worried.
But then she stood up and said "I'm fine." Then she walked out of the attic feeling so embarrassed.
Dipper only stood there and rubbed his cheek that was kissed. He felt, sorta happy.
Candy was just about to walk down the stairs, but then a surprise hug se was reviewing scared her. She pulled away from the hug and was surprise to see her friend smiling so huge. Her braces were even showing.
"See ya soon Candy." Mabel squealed.
"M-Mabel? How long have you-"
"Candy! Come on down sweetie!" A women's voice said from downstairs. Seemed to be Candy's mother.
Candy felt she had no time to explain to Mabel. Plus she felt betrayed and embarrassed. She immediately ran down the stairs to her mother and her car.
Dipper walked to his bed and only stared at the floor thinking. What had just happen? One minutes he's helping Candy, Mabel's best friend, with a beauty pageant to defeat Pacifica Northwest. And then the next she gave him a kiss on the cheek. That was somehow the most awkwardest, and yet, the most nicest thing that's ever happen to him...
"I knew it was going to happen!"
He screamed in terror and fell off his bed once his sister's squeals got to him. That was unexpected.
"I knew it! All my life dreams are coming true right now!" Mabel squealed to brother. "My brother and best friend! Y'all's baby will be so beautiful!"
"Mabel calm down." He said. "We're not together or anything. She just said goodbye and that was it."
"Yep. And then there was a kiss on your cheek! It was so adorable!" She squealed even more.
Dipper blushed at how sister got all excited. "Look we aren't dating or nothing. Just drop it Mabel."
"Oh really?" She smirked. "They have you two been spending time with each other and were dancing up here together?"
Dipper looked so surprised at his sister. "Wait, you were spying on us?"
"Maybe." She still had her tiny smile on her.
Dipper felt so betrayed and very angry with her. He couldn't believe it and started to say things he never thought he would ever say. "Well maybe it's because I'm actually a good friend to her unlike some people!"
Mabel's smile disappear and felt real offended by that. "Wait what? Me and Grenda are good friends to her!"
"Oh really? Does she tell you her darkest secrets that's she's so embarrass about to the world? I don't think so!"
"Well at least we know how to have fun with her! What have you two been doing? You probably bore her to death with your mysteries!"
"For the record, we weren't doing mysteries things! I have been trying to help her this whole time!"
"With what huh?!"
"That none of your business!"
"Well it is! Were you her friend first?! I don't think so! I was her friend before you even came along!"
"Well at least I know how to at least be good to your friends! I could for a matter be a jerk but I'm not gonna be that at all! I'm much better than any person I know!"
"Whatever Dipper! I can't believe you at all!"
"Well why not just go and leave me alone?! Play with Waddle or something! I bet he's been feeling lonely cause you're never there for anyone!"
Mabel felt as if a knife had just been stabbed in her heart. Any insult that came to her heart broke her, and now that's coming from her brother other than some stranger, it was really heart breaking.
Dipper saw what he had done. He felt so awful for it and wish he could start over. He took a deep breath and said "Mabel-"
She starts to sob in her eyes and she immediately ran down the steps of the attic crying. Dipper called for her but she never came back. Dipper once again felt like the bad guy. He was such a idiot to himself.
"Way to go Dipper." He said to himself as he got onto his bed. He looked at his lap as started to think of a way to fix this.
He decided to wait for Mabel to come back, but she never did. So then he went to bed himself. His last words for the night were only to himself.
"I hope she'll forgive me in the morning."

To be continued...

A/N: I hate making them fight but I gotta make it interesting right? And I know there are probably people out there squealing at the kiss-on-the-cheek scene. I hope you all like this chapter and I'll see y'all on the next one.
