Chapter 6

It was a long walk through the woods to the nearest store. Because Dipper had no shoes or shirt, he knew he wouldn't be allowed inside.

"I can't believe I didn't remember that rule!" he said to himself. The doors of the store were glass so someone inside would be able to see him if he knocked, which is what he did. Looking through the glass and knocking over and over again, someone finally noticed him.

A male store clerk, about Wendy's age, came to open the door.

"You know it's unlocked right?" said the teen with a smirk.

"I knew that, but I don't have a shirt or shoes, so could you let me wear one from the store so I can go in? I'll take 'em off before I leave." Dipper explained to the clerk. The teen smiled and told Dipper to wait there. He came back with a t-shirt and some flip-flops.

   "Thank you!" said Dipper.

"No prob. Just get what you need, and leave the clothes on the inside of the door, that way you won't be alarmed at and accused of shoplifting."

"Ok." Dipper responded while getting clothed, and headed into the store.

There were many things that caught his eye; toys, games, food, but he knew what he was there for. Something very important.

Down by the frozen food, he spotted it. A little ice box that contained many different kinds of ice cream. Ice cream at the pool would be able to draw any child out for a little bit.

He took a strawberry ice cream cup for Mabel, a drumstick for Stan (why not), a plain vanilla for the boy because he didn't know what he would like, and a chocolate for himself.

He headed up to the cashier who buzzed his items. Dipper had just enough money for all the ice cream. After putting it all in a bag, he headed towards the door where he took off his shoes and shirt, and left the premises.

"Now, back to the pool before this ice cream melts." Dipper said to himself once again. He fast walked back to the pool, actually anticipating his chocolate ice cream.
