Stressed Out- Twenty One Pilots

I just wrote a parody about writing parodies. Sorry. I know updates haven't been very frequent lately, and I know that when I finally get the time to be writing parodies, I should be writing them about Gravity Falls, not about my writing process.

So why did I write this, then? Because... well, I've wanted to for quite some time. This one was quite easy for me, and forcing myself to write parodies gets me over the block that sometimes crops up in my brain, so this happened. Again, sorry, but this coming weekend I will TRY to get an actual parody done. In the meantime, hopefully at least some of you awesome people enjoys this. Oh, and by the way...

Shoutout to all the hardcore TØP fans who have been there since the very beginning, or else know them from somewhere other than the radio, and love their other songs that aren't quite as popular as Ride, Heathens, and Stressed Out, etc. I know lots of people only enjoy their hits (this isn't a bash on those people- I'm one of them.) You guys are true fans of them, and I admire that!

Verse 1-
I wish I could make up some rhymes, without format to follow
I try to come up with ideas, but when I think, my brain's hollow
For a long while, for new content is what I've yearned
New information, I would write about the things I'd learned

I'll develop a style, and the rates of writer's block will shrink
This sadly isn't the truth, it's just what I used to think

(My name is GreyJay, and I need to rethink...)
(My name is GreyJay, and I need to rethink...)

Chorus-
Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

"Wait, I've used this."

Verse 2-
Oftentimes, I'll go to listen to an old song
And then I'll think of the Pines, and realize, that the two match up.
I'll be honest, it's all about making little connections and those little connections blow up into a full-blown ballad of trust
It's a popular theme in these songs because for too long two brothers were apart, torn by multiple worlds
We all knew the times were changing, the end was coming, and history would likely repeat, but then things were righted

(My name is GreyJay, and I need to rethink...)
(My name is GreyJay, and I need to rethink...)

Chorus-
Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

Verse 3- (Rapping)
Used to count backwards on the days
Until the end of the hia(tus)
New promos would come and go, but the excitement always stayed
I can try to deny, but I know I'm just waiting for the day
That any real news is announced
Yeah

Used to count backwards on the days
Until the end of the hia(tus)
New promos would come and go, but the excitement always stayed
I can try to deny, but I know I'm just waiting for the day
That any real news is announced
Yeah

Chorus-
Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

Wish I could turn back time
To those days I miss
When I could write a song
Think of a line,
And not, "Wait, I've used this."

If that song didn't entirely make sense to you, don't worry about it. Some of the parts didn't have a lot of thought put into them. Some lines are decent, others.. not so much.

I've got Friday, so feel free to talk to me, because I will be bored.

Thank you guys a ton for reading, commenting, voting, whatever! All of it is very much appreciated. \(:D)/
