Chapter 42

"Whenever we try to give our best

And succeed;

We feel that our problems are gone,

But what we fail to realise is that...

IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING. "

-DR. MARCO KILBY

"Three. Two. One." A robotic voice boomed all over the entire available space and echoed after reflecting back the metallic shields.

Ray was standing near the window staring the view outside. He knew that it would never be the same. He knew the human species that once filled the loneliness of the great soul will never do it again. Earth was losing its children and sadly, it was not even able to express its grief. He lost in his own thoughts when reality was brought to him by a pat on his shoulder. He turned and saw Aiz standing beside him. He had a serious look on his face without a hint of amusement that is not an usual scenario.

Ray continued to look at him and then he spoke, without even turning to look at him.

"I know it's difficult but we need to be tough. This is not an individual's concern, it's about a whole race. It's about human species."

Ray nodded and Aiz took a deep breath. It was like he was having a mental battle with himself to decide his next reaction. It was like he was thinking whether to say the thing that was here to say or not. The thing which was deep inside his heart, hidden. At last, he came to a conclusion and bowed to continue.

"I don't know how to say this or if I'm doing the right thing by telling this or not. But I feel this secret will better be kept by you than me. When I was with Kilby, I saw something different. Kilby is not a hu-"

Aiz was cut off by an ear piercing sound and a high intensity light which made everyone blind for a few seconds. Then everyone blinked a few times and saw the reason behind it.

A screen was displayed in midair and it was the source of high intensity white light. But fortunately, it had adjusted itself as well. The screen blinked twice and then revealed a very familiar face which is surely not liked by anyone. An old man in his early fifties, round spectacles on his pointed nose and shiny grey hair. Dr. Marco Kilby.

"Hello everyone! " he said in a sing song voice like he had expected them to make it and he somehow also knew what they had to go through in the process. The amusement on his face clearly reflected it but where was he now.

"Hello! Hellooo!

I guess you all know me but I must introduce myself as somehow are highly expecting manners from me. So, I'm Dr. Marco Kilby. The one who was destined to check the compatibility and the efficiency of your species, Humans.

Oh please! Don't make that face. I know your feelings. Who you think will comprehend your status now better than me. You can't hate me right? You love me. You love me because I ended all your problems. You love me because I chose you.

The seven elements, the seven keys of the door of Looked Upon. Aaaa! Don't ask now what is Looked Upon. You will know it when the time will come. Know one thing, you all are mere pawns of my game. You all are precious specimens of my experiment. Don't let me down!

Remember -

Create your own destiny because Survival is the real truth."

And with that, everything went to normal.

"What was that?" Becks asked irritated.

"Leave it,for now. We have other things to worry about." Louis said.

"Is everything alright?" Lia asked, now completely gaining her consciousness. She remembered everything that happened and is now back from her craziness and belief that it was all a game.

"Come look here." Alrick said and every pair of eyes were stick to the giant screen which displayed the events of outer space.

"We are at a safe distance from all the predicted affairs. So we can see the tale of the Gravity Falls without any hindrance." Ben informed everyone.

The sky seemed tranquil from outer space. But the tranquillity was not remained for long. The rogue planet soon entered the orbit of moon and crashed with it. At the same time, Earth has lost all its gravitational force and everything was now in space. Some trees, houses, humans and unknown objects were escaping in the space that looked nothing more than a speck.

When the moon was hit, it created a huge bang. The moon was completely tore down into pieces and nothing better could be said about the rogue planet. The space seemed to enjoy the fireworks gifted by the GOD or better the great scientist Dr. Marco Kilby.

For a second, it felt like the whole universe had shaken because of the sound waves created by collision.

The beams of light of different colours were visible. The tale of destruction was at its zenith. Earth lost its orbit. It was about to leave the Goldilocks' zone. If it will leave the Goldilocks zone then the ability of supporting life will be lost by it. So God better have another plans.

The pieces of moon were flying in the air randomly and some of them managed to enter Earth's atmosphere, or that was used to be Earth's atmosphere.

The rogue planet had passed the earth and it was so not in a good condition. It was about to pass beside Venus when its doom arrived. The Sun's gravitational force attracted it towards the sun and it was soon enveloped by the solar flares and the main element of GRAVITY FALLS vanished from the space history. The rogue planet was gone but its effect was certainly not recoverable. And its damage was not ever going to be repairable.

As soon as the rogue planet passed, the number of moon debris falling on earth increased. This simply gave the relief that Earth was again restoring its gravity. The fireworks ceased, finally. The specks escaping the Earth vanished. There was an irregular piece of moon left to fill the vacuum created by the loss of earlier moon. It was at a more distance from Earth so it eventually balanced the gravitational pull.

So, from outer space things were done. But what about Earth? What had happened to it? Is it restored in true manners? Or it had become a hell?

From outside, it was as silent as a dead mother crying. No one knew what was happening within her. And no one can comprehend the feeling and the pain that the mother Earth was going through.

Everyone was silent for an hour or so but to them, it felt like eternity.

Finally a robotic voice boomed,

"Descending back to Earth."

Lia turned back to go into her room. She lied on the bed thinking....

Let's see what you have brought, the GRAVITY FALLS.
