After shoving past several tree branches, Aizan stopped to witness the scene and Ben stood there with his mouth hung open.

A normal looking wild tree with dense leaves and thick trunk is not ordinary at all. The dark tree trunk slowly began to get separated and it slid open to reveal a metallic structure descending outside. It has a huge mouth with a body of almost 1m diameter. It had shiny silver structure with rings supporting the Base. It looked like a grenade launcher or something but whatever it is, one thing is sure it's not good.

The metal rings tensed and the body descended backward to stretch outward. A single spark could be seen inside it and then-

BOOM!

With a single blast, it cleared the area in front of it. The only thing remaining was ash, with some lifeless bodies of poor animals like rabbits,squirrel,wolf and deer which were lying on the ground mercilessly.

The click sound came again and Ben hid behind Aiz. The shining silver metals contracted and reformed itself preparing for next blast. The metal was gradually fixing its aim at Aizan's heart whose beating was wild enough to tear his ribs.

He swallowed the fear and looked around him. The metal contracted slowly for its most valuable blast when Aiz pushed Ben to a side. He landed there with a loud thump tasting dirt and stared blankly at Aiz. He don't want someone to die in front of his eyes again. He was trying to think something when his eyes searched his surrounding. He took a stone and thought to throw it at the metal devil.

He stood up and tried his best to aim at its mouth but before he could do something, something sharp came from behind and he fell to the ground. He spat the dirt which entered his mouth without permission and raised his head a bit to see what's happening.

He saw a sharp wooden arrow to get straight into the mouth of the blaster or launcher or anything it is. He doesn't have so much idea of weapon so it's pretty difficult for him to understand what's going on but he still looked at it with great curiosity.

As soon as the wooden arrow entered the mouth of the blaster, it got stuck at a point. It looked like a point where spark ignites so when the spark was not able to ignite properly, the wooden arrow caught fire. When the arrow caught fire, it was in contact with the gunpowder stuff to be launched and the whole stuff blasted.

When Ben and Aiz were staring what's happening with the blaster, Aiz felt a hand on his shoulder which dragged him towards itself. Aiz landed in the safe zone when the blaster blasted itself and there was the moment of complete dumb. The blast was so loud that their ears were numb and witnessing such a vicious creation was more of a fact causing them to be dumbfounded.

"I thought it would blast in a bigger radius than this." The voice came from behind breaking the breathtaking silence.

"Yep! But since the machine was made to be vulnerable to other weapons, when it blasted it's while energy was consumed in blasting itself. I guess we're lucky that your arrow hit the right spot." Aiz replied without turning back, still on ground.

He took a deep breath and helped himself to get up. But when he turned back to see the person who had shot the arrow, or saved his life, he was more dumbfounded than ever. His eyes widened and his face formed a small genuine smile.

He looked at the person standing in front of him, chocolaty hair with emerald green eyes, Alerick!

"Oh my God! You're alive Aizan! " Alrick said with sarcasm exposed in his voice. He stepped towards him and began scolding like a mom. "What the hell you think you were doing by just standing there? You must've ran! "

Aiz looked at Alrick sympathetically. His eyes held concern for him and his face carried several cuts and his hand, a bow.

"It could sense heartbeat." Aiz replied while his gaze searching for Ben.

"But how do you know that?" Alrick asked while raising his eyebrow.

"Because I have created that!" Aiz replied shrugging. He smirked which was specially meant to tease Alrick.

Ben ran to the place where both boys were standing and smiled with relief to find his hero safe and sound. He looked at Alrick and yelled with excitement, "HAWK EYE!"

Alrick smiled genuinely for the first time in three months and bent to talk to his new friend. "If I have a bow, it doesn't means that I'm Hawk Eye!"

"But you saved us!" Ben argued and poured to make his excuse more valid.

"Hands up Captain! I surrender." Alrick mocked in defeat and shuffled his hair.

Aiz looked at his destroyed,ruined dream and went to take a piece on which C.Y.O.D. is written. He smiled at the thought of being killed by something for which he sacrificed everything and placed the piece in his jeans' pocket.

{ A/N : I was about to end this chapter here but because of your love and well wishes because of which my thumb is fine now, I was motivated to write more :p }

Aiz got up and turned to find Alrick and Ben giggling at their own pieces of thesis. He smiled feeling something in his guts that something very destructive is going to happen but this time he will not have to face it alone. There are his FRIENDS who want to understand him and they too have their own tragedies because of their EXTRA ORDINARY APPROACH TO LIFE but they still smile. So, keep smiling! :)

He went to two cheerful souls and announced with a mischievous smirk ,"Come on. Let's go! We have to find something to eat or else, the little devil will chew us raw."

Alrick looked up at Aiz with blank expression but when his mind processed Aizan's words, he laughed even harder. "Haha! Little Devil. Lol! Kill me now. Dare to call her this at her face."

Aiz looked at him and revealed his 24 carat smile,"Man! I don't want to die young."

After moments of heart filled laughter, the trio left the ruin of a cool blaster which was newly invented and unnamed till now. Poor blaster! It died even before getting a name.

Aiz was still thinking about that blaster, it was his dream. He wanted it to be a part of military but look at his fate, his dream has become the major strength, the main part or the pivotal part of a devil's plan.

The trio was walking together in silence in search of something to eat when something happened, again. This time they heard sound of wild footsteps.

Aiz returned to his fighting instance and Alrick stretched his bow ready to aim at the wild.

The mild wind was flowing gently, kissing their tensed skin. Leaves were rustling and whistling but they had no time to enjoy.

Footsteps were coming nearer by every second and they literally had no idea about whom they had to welcome. The source of the footsteps is really unexpected by everyone but they had their time to guess.

Finally the footsteps were clearly audible. It didn't belonged to a single soul, many souls are responsible for this. But who?
They were wild and sharp and judging by this, it was surely not going to be a warm welcome.

The tree's branch finally shoved and a figure appeared, it was a boy. He jumped from the raised part and came running towards them. He had remarkable blonde hair and mesmerising chocolate orbs. He wore a cream shirt and formal grey jacket. He had a grey and blue shoulder bag slid onto his shoulder and his movements were not smooth at all.

He came towards them running and everyone's eyes were wide. He smiled at them briefly.

Alrick was the first to react and he finally managed to stammer, "Louis?"

Louis showed his teeth and yelled," RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!"
