They were walking through the kindergarten hearing monsters growl. Steven went over to a cave.

"I found another!" Steven shouted pointing at it.

"We got it Steven. Ready? Move!" Garnet shouted and the gems raced into a cave and they heard cries and punches before the gems walked out. The corruption bubbled.

"It's disturbing that Jasper was just keeping these corruptions in cages." Pearl said

"Isn't that pretty much what you guys are doing?" Dipper asked

"It's different." Pearl said

"they're taken care of in the bubbles. They won't suffer in them." Garnet said sending off the gem. "It's what Rose wanted." Garnet looked at Steven.

"I guess this is the last of them." Steven said

"Man it sure does look creepy." Mabel said looking at the corruption

"I can't believe these things used to be gems!" Peridot shouted

"Pearl, Amethyst. Get ready. This one's a fighter." Garnet said

"Aren't they all?" Dipper asked and he walked over to the others.

"Are corruptions not like this on homeworld?" Steven asked

"We don't have anything like this on homeworld." Peridot said

"Man this homeworld place sounds interesting." Mabel said

"Here we go." Garnet said ripping the metal bar off the walls and then the corruption tackled her.

"Garnet!" Steven shouted

"Whoa." Dipper said in awe as she shot backwards. Amethyst tried to grab it with her whip but ended up getting pulled aling for the ride. Meanwhile pearl fired lasers from here spear which all missed.

The beast took a sharp turn up a wall and slammed amethyst into pearl throwing them back and freeing it from the whip. The corruption then ran off.

"That was terrible!" Peridot said laughing

"It's harder than it looks!" Pearl shouted

"She's right. Monster hunting isn't easy." Dipper said

"How could you all be outsmarted by that!" Peridot shouted

"Well it ran over garnet and then dragged around amethyst." Pearl said before garnet cut her off.

"We don't need a play by play. Besides, mistakes happen. Even when you can see the future." Garnet said

"You can see into the future?" Mabel asked in awe. "SO COOL!"

"bet you couldn't do better peridot." Amethyst said angrily.

"Well I saved you from Bill so I could save you here too" Peridot said

"Go ahead." Garnet said

"This will be the perfect chance to show of my metal powers." Peridot said walking off.

"Well our work here is done." Garnet said

"Well I'm-uh" Steven said nervously.

"You're gonna help her?" Amethyst asked

"She's all alone and has no idea what she's doing." Steven said

"Oh peridot will be fine." Pearl said

"I meant the monster." Steven said and garnet chuckled

"Ok take as long as you need." Garnet said before walking off.

"Are you sure about this Garnet?" Pearl asked and she followed her along with Amethyst.

"Well I'll go with them." Dipper said before Mabel grabbed his shoulder.

"No way bro-bro. Don't be like that. Come on and help us." Mabel said

"Fine..." Dipper said and they all ran after peridot.

"Wait!" Steven shouted

"Did the others ask to bring me back?" Peridot asked

"No we're here to help." Mabel said before she saluted peridot.

"It usually takes all of us to catch a corruption." Steven said

"I prefer to have help with my monster hunting as well." Dipper said

"Well that's because you try to out brute it instead of out smarting it." Peridot said smiling

"So we can help?" Mabel asked

"I guess I could use the experience." Peridot said "it just isn't fair."

"What isn't fair?" Dipper asked

"With all of us teaming up the monster wont stand a chance!" Peridot shouted before laughing. Suddenly they were all knocked over by the monster racing by.

"After it!" Peridot shouted

"We know what to do." Dipper said and they raced after it hiding behind a rock and observing it.

"what is it doing?" Peridot asked

"Maybe it likes shiny things?" Steven asked, the monster was standing there. Staring at the injector.

"I've just concocted a perfect peri plan!" Peridot said

"So what is it?"Mabel asked

"I use my metal powers on the injector and make in fall on the monster." Peridot said

"Go ahead and give it a shot." Dipper said

Peridot began concentrating. She made one of the legs fall off and it hit the ground. The monster noticed.

"Maybe another leg." Peridot said, and she made another leg fall.

"Fall you stupid!" Peridot shouted and she threw the last two legs off so the injector was hanging there by it's drill. The monster ran off and peridot screamed. "OH COME ON!!!" She then ran over and kicked the wall under the injector. The injector began falling.

"Peridot think that through!" Mabel shouted

"Of course." Peridot said and she moved over. Rocks then fell on here.

"Peridot!"Steven shouted and they made their way over. The monster came back and peridot burst out of the rocks

"There get it!" Peridot shouted

"Well good to see she's ok." Dipper mumbled and the monster jumped them. Steven summoned his shield and furiously slashed at the shield. Peridot got up.

"Keep it distracted, I'll finish it!" Peridot shouted before the injector crushed her and the monster ran off.

"Are you ok?" Steven asked

"I think we need to revise out strategy" Peridot suggested under the injector

"Well no duh!" Mabel said

Later on they were outside of the canyon again.

"Are you ready for Pery plan two?" Peridot asked

"The first one wasn't that good." Dipper said

"Noted Dipper." peridot said annoyed. "But this plan if even perfecter. I took the injector and made a canon." The canon then fired a rock

"How?" Dipper asked

"Who cares." Mabel said

"I do, like seriously where did you get the materials?" Dipper asked

"Details are unimportant." Peridot said

"No they are important." Dipper said

"Can you just admit it's cool and move on?" Steven asked

"Alright fine." Dipper said stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"There it is!" Mabel shouted pointing at the monster as it ran by.

"Time to take it out from a distance. You clod." Peridot said and she clicked it but it didn't fire. "Seriously?" The canon then fired Peridot backward into a wall and more rocks fell on her.

"Wow..." Dipper said, then the monster approached them.

"You win this round." Steven said and then the monster attacked them.

Later that day, everyone was beat up and clothes wore torn. They were now on a cliff above the canyon.

"I found the problem with my past two pery plans. Relying on injectors had too many variables. Now we just have to rely on simple physics." peridot said

"I've watched enough cartoons to know this won't end well." Mabel mumbled

"We wait until it's under us and we drop this giant rock on it!Nothing can fall on us from here!" Peridot shouted manically

"Wait. You survived rocks falling on you all day and didn't poof. What makes you think one rock will make it poof?" Dipper asked

"I'm doing the best I can!" Peridot shouted angrily, the monster then walked up to them and threw them off the cliff Peridot fell face first and Steven grabbed Dipper and Mabel and floated down.

"I-" Peridot was cut off by the rock falling on her. It then began rolling They chased after it and Peridot.

Then they reached a loop and the rock went over the loop. Steven summoned his bubble protecting him, Dipper, and Mabel. They were shot around the loop as well and hit the rock again. The rock went halfway up the loop before falling down right on peridot.

"You really don't poof easy huh?" Steven asked

"I'm tougher then I look." Peridot moaned from under the rock.

Finally at night Steven, Dipper, and Mabel were roasting marshmallows over a fire while peridot danced around.

"This is perfect. This is a..." Peridot looked up at her newest trap. A damaged injector barely standing. It then collapsed. "Waste of my time." Peridot went over to the others. "Why can't I master this?"

"It's ok, just because you failed miserably it wasn't a total lost. I laughed a bunch." Mabel said

"I'm sure everyone else will think so too when we go back and get em." Dipper said eat a marshmallow.

"Go back? Let it be known that I don't go forward or back until I am the winner." Peridot said

"Right..."Steven said rolling his eyes.

"I just don't get it. I'm smarter than the average peridot. Yet I failed against a stupid cloddy monster!" Peridot shouted

"Corruptions aren't dumb They just think different" Steven said and he smiled

"Like Mabel, she's very different" Dipper teased

"Oh shut up." Mabel said pushing him.

"let me get this straight? Let's say I'm a monster and spend all my time smashing my face into rocks and throwing my tongues in the air for fun. How am I not dumb?" Peridot asked

"She must be doing something right. She didn't fall for any of you peri plans" Steven said, and Peridot's expression turned to pure rage.

"It's just dumb luck"Peridot concluded and Steven threw a marshmallow at her. Mabel did the same

"Stop that! I don't get why you're bombarding me with puff rocks!" Peridot shouted

"To show you what it's like to be a monster." Steven said and Mabel threw some at Dipper

"You too!" Mabel shouted

"Pretend I'm a human screaming in fear or an animal chasing you!" Steven shouted throwing more marshmallows

"Pretend I'm a crazed boy who has a net trying to catch you just to prove he's right!" Mabel shouted

"Mabel stop!" Dipper shouted

"Pretend I'm a green gem trying to poof you! This is your life now!" Steven shouted"Endless suffering!" Peridot then freaked out and growled grabbing the marshmallow bag and throwing it around like a dog's chew toy.

"You get it now?" Mabel asked

"Yeah I get it." Dipper said looking down

"I understand too." Peridot said

"What you're doing makes total sense. Remember what it was like to have everything taken away. Being attacked. Feeling trapped." Steven said and Peridot's expression changed. "You were frustrated. You should try thinking about this from her point of view."

The next morning everyone was behind a rock near the monster.

"You got this." Mabel said giving Peridot the thumbs up. She nodded and walked over to the monster

"I can't take this dirty tongue flapper seriously." Peridot said scoffing

"Think. Like. The monster" Steven whispered behind her.

"Blaaah. Blaah." Peridot said attempting to mimic the monster. She approached it and it did the same thing as her. "Blaaah. Blaaaaaah" Peridot then kicked it then snickered before it beat her senseless. Steven ran over.

"It's ok, we just wanna bubble you!" Steven shouted before the monster hit him away. He activated his bubble and bounced off.

"My turn." Dipper said going up to the monster and he attempted to shrink it but it just knocked him unconscious.

"Dipper!" Mabel shouted and then the monster ran off dragging peridot around. It ran up the loop. Peridot fell off at the top and landed back on it. Mabel and Steven were chasing after them. The ran towards the cliff where the monster almost fell off.

"No no no no no!" Mabel shouted and then they fell down.

"Peridot!" Steven shouted and they hit the ground with a thump.

Steven floated down Mabel grabbing onto him. Peridot then emerged from a hole with the gem in her hands.

"I did it." Peridot mumbled in pain

"Good job." Mabel said and then Garnet walked over.

"You're back." Steven said and DIpper was behind her.

"We never actually left." Garnet said and Amethyst and Pearl jumped out from behind a rock

"We knew it'd be funny." Amethyst said

"Future vision." Garnet said

"So cool." Mabel said in awe

"You were watching the whole time?" Peridot asked

"I knew. They aren't very stealthy." Dipper mumbled.

"I told you I could do it.I will say it was harder than I thought. This gem is an adversary worth my skill." Peridot said and suddenly the gem was bubbled.

"Whoa, Peridot." Steven said

"Nice bubble P." Amethyst said running over.

"What do I do with it?" Peridot asked

"Send it off." Garnet said

"Just tap the top" Steven explained.

"This bubbling thing it so cool." Dipper said and Peridot sent it off.

"So where'd it go?" Mabel asked

"Home." Steven said and Peridot smiled.

Meanwhile back at the barn Lapis was reading a book about hairstyles and the bubble appeared above her. Though she just glanced over at it before she continued reading.
