"Hey, they're back!"
I turned around as Bellamy entered the dropship, completely soaked by the rain outside. Monty and Jasper came in behind, holding the grounder we'd had a run in with earlier. I frowned, watching them hastily come inside.
"Bellamy!" Octavia exclaimed, stomping over to him with a disapproving look on her face. "The hell are you doing?"
"It's time to get some answers."
"Oh you mean revenge?" Octavia fired back.
"I mean intel," Bellamy corrected. He nodded over to the guys standing around waiting for his orders. "Get him upstairs."
Clarke stepped forwards. "Bellamy, she's right."
"Clarke, okay we're ready. Can you hear me?" Abby Griffin's crackling voice came through the radio. Raven had managed to get a signal a couple of minutes ago and Clarke finally got to speak to her mom again. Despite my friend's relief, the fact that Abby was the one who turned my father in, that she was the one who got him killed, was still in the back of my mind. But I had to ignore it, Finn's life was more important.
Bellamy's face hardened in surprise at the fact that we'd managed to get the radio working. "Look, this is not who we are," Clarke said to him, eyes pleading him not to go through with whatever he was planning.
"Clarke?" I heard Abby repeat, a confused undertone in her voice.
Bellamy's eyes glanced over all of us. "It is now." Without a seconds hesitation, he harshly took the grounder up to the second floor, whilst the rest of us stayed downstairs.
As time passed, Finn's condition began to worsen by the minute and quite frankly, I had started to give up. Death surrounded us, everywhere we went. I didn't want to lose hope, but I was beginning to. We hadn't had much luck and it seemed like that luck wasn't going to change any time soon either.
I wanted to help but Clarke and Raven didn't need me at all. I wasn't trained medically, I wasn't needed. I was just getting in the way. "Hey, watch it!" A boy shouted, shoving another, who fell into Clarke.
"Damn it!" She exclaimed, sending an infuriated glare the boys way. Then she turned to Raven, her face hard. "Clear the room."
Raven turned around, facing the crowd of people huddled in the room. "Everyone, upstairs! Now! Let's go!"
"Hey, Clarke," I shouted over the noise. She turned to face me, not looking too interested. Her main priority was Finn and I knew that. "I'm gonna go up too. Shout if you need me." She gave me a brief nod before turning back to Finn. I sighed, glancing back once more before climbing the rungs.

"Clarke!" Octavia called out. I looked over, noticing my best friend about to climb the ladder. Octavia nodded above us, where Bellamy had taken Lincoln. "They locked the hatch."
Clarke shook her head and continued to climb the ladder, pounding on the door. "Hey!" She smacked her fist against it again. "Open the door!" I saw the hatch slowly open and she climbed inside. "Get out of my way, Miller," I heard her snap. "Now!" Octavia and I shared a look before following her up. "What's on this?" Clarke was holding out a knife in front of the grounder's face.
"What are you talking about?" Bellamy questioned.
"He poisoned the blade!" Clarke exclaimed. "All this time, you knew Finn was gonna die no matter what we did. What is it?" She bellowed. "Is there an antidote?"
"Clarke, he doesn't understand you," Octavia spoke up, eyes softening as she looked over at the grounder.
"Vials," Bellamy suddenly blurted, picking something up off the floor. "It's gotta be here."
"You'd have to be stupid to have a poison around this long without an antidote," Clarke mumbled, holding a container with lots of different bottles in. "Which one?" She asked the grounder, who didn't respond.
"Answer the question!" Bellamy yelled, looking like he was becoming more and more irritated by the second. The atmosphere was thick in the room as we all watched the grounder with intensity.
"Show us. Please," Octavia said, much calmer than the other two.
"Which one!" Clarke repeated in a frantic yell. "Our friend is dying down there and you can stop that!" She was about to break, I could tell. Everyone's emotions were running so high it wouldn't be long before somebody cracked and did something awful.
Bellamy stepped over to the grounder, determination set on his face. "I'll get him to talk."
Octavia grabbed his arm, realising what he was about to do. "Bellamy, no!"
"He wants Finn to die. Why can't you see that?" Bellamy shouted at his younger sister. "Do you want him to live or not?" The two of them then looked at Clarke, who looked like she was weighing out the options in her head.
Octavia stepped forwards. "Clarke, you even said it yourself. This is not who we are!" She proclaimed. "He was protecting me. He saved my life."
"We're talking about Finn's life." Bellamy countered.
There was a moment of silence before Clarke finally spoke. "Do it."
I let out a breath, shocked by her decision. Her rational thoughts must have been blocked out by how much she cared for Finn because this wasn't a decision made by the Clarke I knew. "Clarke-" I started, but she shook her head, silencing me before I could continue.
Octavia started to run towards the grounder. "Just tell us!" Miller and another boy stepped forwards, pulling her away.
I watched as Bellamy cut out one of the seatbelts, placing it over his shoulder. He then pulled out his pocket knife and headed over to the grounder, slicing the material in his shirt before tearing it off completely. "You're gonna show us the antidote or you're gonna wish you had."
"Bellamy, no," Octavia pleaded as he took the seatbelt from his shoulder. "Please," She begged, sounding on the edge of tears.
Bellamy whipped the seatbelt around and it hit the grounder in the chest, the awful sound slicing through the air. I winced, turning away as the grounder let out a groan of pain. I turned back around and looked down at the seatbelt in Bellamy's hands, which were shaking. The seatbelt cut through the air again, hitting the grounder around the face this time. Clarke bent down on the floor, laying out all of the bottles. "Please," She begged. "Which one's the antidote?"
"Just tell them," Octavia added, her eyes glistening with tears. The grounder still wouldn't respond. Bellamy placed his hand on Clarke's shoulder and she stood up, heading to the side. I turned away completely this time but I could still heard the continuous whipping sounds and the awful pained groans of the grounder. It almost got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore, I couldn't listen to that of let it continue happening.
It was Octavia who finally yelled, "Enough!" However, Bellamy still ignored her.
"Clarke! He's getting worse!" I heard Raven yell from downstairs.
"We're running out of time," Clarke said, bending down in front of Lincoln again. "Which one? Which one is it?" She indicated to the bottles on the floor. Her voice was full of emotion. "If you tell us, they'll stop. Please, tell us which is the antidote and they'll stop this," She pleaded, still getting no reply.
Bellamy angrily threw the seatbelt to the side and picked up another tool. "If that doesn't work, maybe this will. Clarke, you don't have to be here for this."
"I'm not leaving until I get that antidote," she replied firmly.
Bellamy nodded, turning to face the grounder again. "Last chance," he warned. After a few moments, he slammed the weapon through the grounder's hand. I turned around, facing the wall as tears welled in my eyes.
"What's taking so long?" I heard Raven shout. Footsteps sounded by the ladder and I looked over as she climbed through the hatch. "He stopped breathing."
"What?" Clarke asked, her eyes wide in shock.
"He started again," Raven assured. "But next time, he might not."
"He won't tell us anything," Clarke said, nodding over at the grounder.
Raven looked at him for a moment before glancing around the room. Eventually, her eyes landed on electrical wires. "Wanna bet?" She walked over and forcefully pulled them out, much to my confusion.
"What are you doing?" Bellamy asked.
"Showing him something new," The wires buzzed with electricity as she headed over to the grounder before placing them on his skin, causing him to yell out in pain. The lights darkened for a moment, flickering until they came back on again. "Which one is it?" Raven demanded. "Come on!" She placed the wires back on his skin, shocking him once more. The lights went out briefly again, leaving us in slight darkness for a while. "He's all I have!" Raven screamed, her yells mixing with the grounder's.
"No more!" Octavia finally ordered, causing Raven to step back.
"He's letting Finn die!" Raven exclaimed, her voice a complete whirlwind of emotions. I watched as Octavia moved the poisoned knife to her skin, her eyes moving from each person.
"What are you doing?" I hissed, stepping forwards.
"Octavia, no!" Bellamy cautioned, but it was too late.
She sliced the knife into her skin, making a long cut along her arm. Blood dribbled from it as she shook her head firmly. "He won't let me die."
"Octavia, what the hell did you-" Bellamy started.
Octavia bent down, pointing to one of the bottles. "This one?" She then pointed to another one but the grounder still didn't react. Then she picked one up, holding it out to him. "This one?" He nodded slightly and Octavia let out a breath of relief, holding it out to Clarke. "Here."
"Thank you," Clarke said, immediately heading back to the ladder, Raven in tow.
Bellamy bent down to help his sister up but she pushed him away hastily. "Don't touch me!"
My eyes met Bellamy's and I struggled to keep the disappointment from my face. I turned, moving back towards the hatch and climbing down the ladder again, relieved to be away from there.

After the ordeal inside, the storm had thankfully cleared, although it left the camp in a huge mess. I was outside with the others, helping to clear up the broken branches and logs that had been scattered around the ground. As I lifted up a small fallen log from the ground, I felt someone's hand touch my shoulder. I turned around, meeting Bellamy's brown eyes.
"I have nothing to say to you," I told him.
"Didn't have a lot to say back in there either, did you?"
I shook my head at how inconsiderate he could be about other people's feelings. "You know, it wasn't easy watching that."
"And it wasn't easy having to do that," I looked at him again, pausing. I'd been so busy caught up in my own morals that I'd never actually considered how Bellamy must have felt about doing something like that. "Yeah, that's right. You wouldn't know because you don't have to do the hard stuff."
"That is not fair," I said, pointing a finger at him. "You're the one who stepped up to be the leader of this camp. This is what you signed up for!" He grabbed my wrist but I shoved him off. There I was, feeling sorry for him, but he always just had to ruin it. "No. I'm done with you."
"Do you honestly think I'm that heartless?" Bellamy called out to me as I moved away. "Is that what you think?"
"I wouldn't go that far."
"You know, you're right," He shook his head, brown eyes searching mine briefly. He looked hurt and I hated seeing that look on his face. Even his next words were quiet, broken. "I didn't sign up for this."
He walked off without another word.
