Chapter Fourteen
-time skip-
Oli was curled up on a stone bench he had found. His house, a house he had only had for a short while, was getting crowded. He was tired of dealing with bipolar demons, skittish nekos and sensitive Djinn. He just wanted to relax at home. That just wasn't happening. So he fled to the cemetery where he curled up on a bench. Oli knew it was a bad idea a bit after since he had a cold and he ended up dozing on the bench. Now he was too tired and feeling too sick to move. He coughed, stretching out his stiff limbs. He sat up then wavered dizzily. The boy's new feline ears and tail both drooped, showing pretty well how sick the poor guy was feeling. He rubbed his eyes, wanting to crawl into a warm bed and have a bowl of soup. "Idiot," he muttered unhappily.
Zak walked along the outside of the fence of the cemetery. Hoping for food to come in. He also had two white roses in his hand that he was going to put on his parent gravestones. He walked over to the gravestone put the roses down and smelt it. Human... Zak hid behind a gravestone and looked for the human. He saw the bench and slowly walled toward it, his clear blue eyes turning a shade of red. Food..
Oli looked up, ears flickering. He heard Zak. The boy's tail fluffed up as his instincts told him to run. He stumbled to his feet, wobbling. Moving set off his coughing which made him sit back down. He looked up once the coughing eased, wheezing. It was Zak. "Zak?" he asked, voice a bit raspy from coughing. Oli remembered the vampire. He remembered how nice the vampire had been towards him. His dark eyes peered up at Zak, wondering if he was remembered.
Zak froze at the sound of his name. "Oli." Zak's eyes changed back to blue as he casually walked over to his friend. "Witch again?" He asked gesturing to the cat ears and fluffed up tail. Zak laughed a little and smiled at him. Still hear me? Zak's smile widened.
Oli blinked then realized what Zak was talking about. "Oh yeah. It changed during the night. I guess she took pity of me," he responded with a faint smile. He liked the cat ears better. They felt a lot less embarrassing than the bunny ears. The boy nodded in response to the voice in his head. Yup. He could.
