Chapter 15

It was like nothing they had ever seen before, hundreds of pointy topped buildings varying in size. The temperature was hotter here, and the ground crunched under there feet, ground that was not covered in cobble stones or rough concrete, but dust and dry leaves. The houses were not as close together as in Sculven, and were all made from wood cut down from the surrounding forest.

They had recently separated from Billy, thanking him for his help. While Billy took a road to the left, supposedly leading to the market, the kids sat down on the dirt, leaning against an rough log wall while people slowly milled around, some shooting them strange looks.

Oliver stood up, "You guys didn't come to go the full way, did you? You just planned on getting me."
He waited for a while, and when no one responded he said, "Come on guys, you said it yourself, there is nothing here for us! Even if we don't find the graves, we would've gone on an adventure that no other people have gone on, seen things and places no one else has seen! So right now guys, we need to decide if we continue on, possibly become rich, prove my uncle correct with some proof, go on an amazing adventure with a large chance of dying in a blaze of glory, or stay go back to our boring old town, get married to some old hag, become an alcoholic because we did nothing with our lives and regret not leaving on this adventure while we had the chance, before dying of old age. Wow that was a big sentence."

There was silence amongst the friends, a thoughtful silence.

Oliver smiled, "Unless of course... You guys are to scared."

"Im in!" Davis piped up.
"Sure." Breece nodded.
"I ain't stayin'." Ava concluded.

Linda jumped up, "And the possibility of our imminent death means nothing to you guys?"

They shared an amused glance.
"Not really."
"Nope."
"Nuh."
"No, but what does imminent mean?"

Linda sighed, "Well I'm in. Where to Oliver?"

Short update? I know. I'm sorry.
I think I'm gonna start writing a new book, but it's not gonna be a serious book, ya know what I'm saying?
Every like and comment means a lot.
