Natsu walked throughout the empty and chilly midnight street's, getting home late. He hoped to god that his sibling's hadn't or doesn't find out that he had left home at such a late time at night and without their permission too, or he'll get into major trouble.

He was so just too deep into his thoughts about what happened earlier the previous day, (when he finally confessed his longing feelings towards his long time crush and best guy friend, Gray, and just for him to surprisingly and thankfully return his feelings back, too! But the whole reason he's out here, alone late at night in midnight was because he was too nervous to confess to his siblings about it all), that he didn't notice his surroundings. A terrible big mistake, that he'll regret very, very soon.

Crossing the dark empty street's, with the street poles lightening up the surrounding darkness, the young pink-haired teenager suddenly looked up into the bright full moon; which brighten up more in the darken hour's at every night. He looked up in awe at the way the stars completely surrounded him.

It was just then, when he suddenly saw a huge bright light to his right that had engulfed him in a whole and displayed across his vision in the midnight hour's, making him go blind for a split second.

And that very split second, a very second that matter so very much, will and would forever change everything.

But by then, it was already far too late. As if in slow motion; towards him, a black car; a very familiar black car had then come barreling straight into him.

With a silent scream, he immediately collided with the car, instantly fracturing multiple bone's in different parts of his body and severing severe flesh. He then went crashing down painfully and harshly onto the sharp and hard concrete, giving him more wounds to his severe wounded body.

With a loud howl of intense pain, he laid on the cold ground, breathless and trembling hardly from the extreme pain and the shock of the sudden impact.

Then just as if so suddenly, he no longer felt anymore pain. Nothing. Nothing, but sudden numbness; a numbness which had seeped into his bones, making him freeze up and go motionless. He thought he would've been struck with much more pain, afterwards, (or more like the whole time), a pain that would've spread almost about everywhere, a pain that would've prevented him from breathing out correctly, but no. No such thing had happened and that worried him greatly.

Throughout his deep and worrisome musing's, he had managed to hear the car streak to an immediate halt; just right after crashing onto the cold and hard concrete. He faintly saw throughout blurry filled eye's that were slowly dulling, several figure's slamming the car door's open and come running, frantically, towards him.

Everything was hazy and distant towards him. He faintly heard throughout vague hearing was some distant noises'; multiple familiar voice's; all shouting, screaming, and crying multiple things, all at once.

What he DID manage to hear out clearly was a name; his name; being shouted multiple time's. But he couldn't quite be for sure, it surely did sounded like it, but since everything sounded far off and unclear, he couldn't be for certain.

After a moment of two; he assumed, he felt his consciousness slowly go black and empty, but he had managed to hear throughout distant screaming and sudden siren's, voice's in an union screaming out, "Don't die!" And then he knew no more.

(A Few Minutes Earlier)

"Where the HELL do you think that pink haired idiot could be?!" Boomed a majorly pissed off black haired male. Zeref wasn't exactly "calm" knowing that his baby brother was out at such a late hour. He and his other younger siblings were currently in his large black Nissan Rouge.

Cobra the second eldest sat besides him in the front, looking just as much pissed off. All were looking for their idiotic brother who decided to wonder off and explore the city at such a late time. Like seriously, who the hell wonders around the empty and dangerous city at such a late hour (or early hour?) like this! It was 1 a'clock in the morning and for crying out loud he's only 15!

"What the hell do you think he's doing, anyways?! He was suppose to be at home a long time ago, yet he's not!" Shouted out another majorly pissed off brother, a blond one this time, Sting, who was siting next to a young blue haired girl, Wendy, who was sitting in between her older brother's Sting and a raven haired male who looks a bit like him, Rogue. Both looked equally unpleasant knowing that their brother was out at such a late time.

Then there were the third and forth eldest who sat behind them. Laxus and Gajeel, both who were looking like they're ready to murder anyone, any second.

To put it simply, everyone, even sweet little Wendy, and especially the eldest's of them all, looked about ready to kill anyone if something had happened to their younger brother. Or they'll each and respectively will kill him for disappearing at such a late time at night for something stupid, AND without telling anyone too, AND ESPECIALLY making them come look for his sorry ass, when they could've been sleeping by now. The eldest's DID have work tomorrow and the twins, Natsu, and Wendy DID have school the next day. So to put it simply, once again, they weren't exactly "happy" about this.

"Once I get my hand's on Pinky, he'll regret ever doing this retarded shit ever again." Threaten Gajeel, cracking his spiky glove's knuckle's, everyone nodding to agreement with him.

The brother's were to say the least, were VERY protective of each other, especially the youngest two, but if any one of them decided to do something stupid, like this, then they'll get what they're looking for, excluding Wend of course. None of them would never harm their only sister and the youngest of the bunch.

"Hey, I think I see something. There." Cobra grunted out, pointing in a direction only for it to be a homeless person, digging in a trash can.

"Na, it's not him. Just stay focus on finding the damn brat, would you." Laxus muttered, irrigated on getting his hopes up for nothing.

"Right. We must find Nat-nii, immediately. Who knows what trouble he might be getting into." Wendy said, suddenly. The others sweetdropped, just realizing that. Idiot always gets into trouble one way or the other. With an union sigh, all of the brother's just grew more concerned.

They were all too busy taking and shouting with each other about their missing brother and not really paying any attention, especially Zeref who was supposed to be paying attention; since he was the driver; but he was just too busy worrying about his baby brother to look where he was going; that he didn't see where he was going, until it was all too late. A huge and horrible mistake, one that he'll never forget. And will regret forever.

"ZEREF-NII! WATCH OUT!" Rogue suddenly screamed out, (the only one who was actually paying attention), silencing everyone, immediately. Rogue NEVER shouts. Never. Unless it's VERY important and that's VERY rare, even for them.

Without any warning, a flash of pink, a familiar head full of pink hair was all that they saw, before a body was being collided with the car and crashing over the top of their car. They heard the distant sound of someone tumbling down.

Zeref instantly streaked to an immediate stop. Before everything went deathly quite.

"Was that...?" Sting whispered terrified to what he just witness. The other's were all in similar states.

"Did I just...?" Zeref whispered horrified to what just happened. And what he just did.

"NATSU!!!" They all screamed out in union; all horrified when they finally registered the sight of their pink haired baby bother getting hit, especially by them. They immediately ripped open the car door's, got off and ran towards the back.

What they saw behind the car will forever be implanted into their minds. Blood. So much blood. And the person surrounding it, laid motionless. He looked broken, lifeless. It left them terrified and shaken to the core. Tears immediately burst into everyone's eyes and down their cheeks, fast.

With a loud ear-piercing scream, Wendy cried fat tears and ran towards her very wounded older brother, and not even a second later, her other brother's were as well.

"NATSUUUUUUUU!!!"

He didn't know where he was. One moment he was walking down the midnight street, then the next he saw a bright light engulfing him, then finally he remember getting hit with something.

But what? He didn't know. And then.... And then what? He... He just didn't remember.

What he did remember was the extreme pain that ran throughout his whole body. Pain that struck about everywhere. And then... And then nothing. The numbness just then took over, immediately afterwards.

"NATSU" A scream was suddenly heard from the ever lasting darkness which was surrounding him. It startled him, greatly.

"WAKE UP!" Another voice was suddenly heard shouting, again. Startling him, once more.

Seriously, where the hell are all these voices coming from?! Hold on. Wake up?

Then as if by pure luck or something, the darkness that was surrounding him had faded away and a bright light shone around him.

The warmness that gave off was a homey feeling. A feeling of: Love. Life. Peace. Friendship. Family. Goodness. Pure. And so on.

"Natsu, please wake up! We all miss you! It's already been 9 weeks! Please, please, please, wake up!" A different voice was suddenly said, choking on their words towards the end.

Wake up? But... But how?

And as if by pure luck, the light surrounding him, engulfed him once again completely.

The first thing that had happened when his consciousness finally stirred was to feel pure agony strike him about everywhere. He instantly whimpered in pain. Not even a second later, a lot of movement was heard above him.

"NATSU!!! YOU'RE FINALLY AWAKE!" Multiple voices were heard, while there were also other voice's shushing them; to be lower. Sobbing and loud sniffles were heard as well.

"Come on, come on little buddy, you can do it." A voice was heard right above him, reassuring him. He whimpered in pain, once again.

After a few more painful minutes; which he had felt like an eternity past towards him; the pain had finally managed to settle down. The pain was still there, but much more manageable, now.

After another few aching minutes; with the people around him all waiting patiently; he assumed, he finally managed to open his eyes and only to close them up instantly, from the brightness. He managed to get a short glimpse of many people surrounding him.

"Aha! Take it slow! Don't force yourself, you idiot." Another voice was suddenly said. But for some unknown reason, he just knew that the insult didn't held any ill feeling's to it; but instead a much more concerned edge to it. As if it was an everyday thing.

It didn't take him longer this time to finally open his eyes, his vision was obviously blurry for a few minutes. Hazy images came in and out, different colors and shapes came from about almost everywhere. After a few more minutes, his vision finally cleared up and when it did, he felt himself freeze up.

Surrounding him was all of his sibling's and boyfriend. Wait, boyfriend! Gray! Looking towards him, he saw nothing but hope, fear, pain, and love. So much raw love in those burning dark blue eyes. Tear marks were seen as a hard sob overtook him. A bright warmly smile was seen in his face. He managed to return it with a small warm one. It wasn't his usual giant toothy grin, but this one was enough. It was full of genuine love; which he had wanted to show to his lover.

Turning his eyes away from him, he looked back to his sibling's and suddenly froze, once again. Each and everyone of them had a giant goofy smile or large smirker's on their face's, and accomplished with fat tears, tracing down their face's. It wasn't very long, when realization finally struck him, and hard too.

With a moan of distress and more of embarrassment, he turned his eyes away, (his neck was unable to, since he gots a neck brace and many more), blushing brightly.

"Natsu." His eldest brother, Zeref, muttered lowly, but was heard regardless as his voice had gotten a serious edge to it.

"Y-yes?" He answered instantly, a bit nervously, slowly and hesitantly looking back up and into black eyes, only to be startled to see raw pain, enormous guilt, and deep relief in them.

"I... I want to apologize. It's all my fault, that you... That you got hurt. If only I was paying attention, then you... You wouldn't-" He was cut off midway.

"That's enough, Zeref-nii. You shouldn't blame yourself. If anything, it was my fault for being somewhere I shouldn't have been. And I'm... I'm sorry, you guys. I was just... I was just afraid on what you guys would've think about me being with Gray and all. I'm sorry for being an idiot to think otherwise." He confessed, looking a shame, solemn, and guilty.

"You got that right." They all said bluntly, in union.

"Shut up!" Natsu shouted, blushing and feeling insulted. But not actually feeling like so. Not at the current moment, at least.

"But seriously, I'm sorry." Zeref apologized gloomy again.

"Okay, that's enough. Seriously. I'm fine, you're fine, we're all fine." He stated, immediately getting a stern glare from about everyone.

"Okay, okay, I'm not fine, but I will be. So don't worry. The only thing that matters is that I'm alive, right?"

"Yeah." They all said in union. All sighted in relief knowing that he was indeed okay, alive. They wouldn't know what to do if he wasn't. Of course they would've been all feeling majorly crushed; their little sunshine could've been taken away. But no, they're not going to let that happen again, and was instead going to hang onto him for much more longer. And become much more protective.

"I'm glad, no, I'm so much relieved and happy to know that you're alive, that you're with us. I don't know what I'll do without you! ("Same here!" Came from all of his sibling's.) I love you so much, Natsu." Gray said with so much raw love to his words, that it had startled the eight of them, greatly, Natsu much more.

"Gray, I... I love you, too." He returned it with just as much passion. Gray smiled brightly and leaned down, pressing a quick kiss to his forehead; making the pinkette blush brightly and cutely, making the older male chuckle in amusement.

Natsu surprised his sibling's with the amount of raw love his words held; seeing as they never seen or heard this whole other side of him. They looked at each other and smiled warmly. Their baby brother was growing up. And as for Wendy, well, she's a whole different story, all together. The brother's all promised each other to never have her grow up and leave them all behind!

"I think it's best if you go to sleep, now. And heal up faster, okay?" Sting said gently towards his little brother, seeing the sleepy edge to him. He couldn't help but chuckle softly in amusement; which didn't go unnoticed to the others, and as they all realize as well, they all smiled down at the younger boy; noticing the way the younger boy suddenly looked much more younger and smaller at the moment.

"Mhm... M'kay..." He managed to say, before sleep instantly took over him. Everyone smiling down at him warmly and lovingly.

No matter what, he'll always be their little sunshine. And that's never going to change. Never.
