Let It (Not) Burn
Alternate Version to Let It Burn. Onwards!

The school's alarm blared loudly in everyone's ears, as panicking, people were pushing, roughly, at each other to escape the crowed hall's and into the packed entry.
Teen's and even adult's were screaming, shouting, crying, falling, and fainting; from fear or from the pain.
While others were curled up in a ball , in a corner; traumatize and shaking from fear. Fear from the crowed. Fear from the screams. Fear from the crying. Fear from thought of possibly dying. Fear from also being burnt alive; as a hug fire was engulfing the left side of the building.
You would've thought that people would be more organize in such a terrifying situation, as people were being too selfish to escape for their own lives; from the fire, and ignoring the help; they ran by unbeknownst to two screaming and banging male's, who were stuck in a classroom.
Luckily, somewhat, for them; they were in the right side of the burning school; it'll take a while for them not to be burnt alive, but that doesn't mean they'll be okay; as deathly smoke was spreading across the building.
Tears escaped the younger of the two, as he stopped slamming and panted for much needed air; unlike his best friend, who continued on slamming his body to the locked door, to jam it open; only to fail, each time.
Sob's, suddenly, escaped his burning lungs, as his leg's unexpectedly gave up on him. The sudden, loud, nose made the older boy, startle and stop his actions.
He looked down and saw his best friend; a short, fifteen year old, pink haired boy, on his hands and knees; crying his poor heart out.
The scene, immediately, made broke his heart. To see, a once bright, cheerful, idiotic, goofy, and positive boy, suddenly crying; who never had once a sad look, before; who never had cried, before; just suddenly give up, made him break, too.
He felt tears in the corner of his eyes, but he held on. He had, too! He couldn't give up! Not when his best friend needed him!
His mind quickly debated whether to continue to slam the door open with his body; realizing it'll be completely hopeless, as it's shut, tightly. Or try to reassure his best friend.
Without a second thought, he quickly and instantly, dropped to his knees; bringing the younger boy into his arms.
Immediately, the hug was returned, as Natsu held onto Gray, tightly. His shaking body, was felt against Gray; who just held onto him, tighter.
The pinkie's face, was buried against the ravens chest; his tears was soaking the older's school shirt, fast; but he didn't care, as he tried to only focus on reassuring and calming his younger comrade.
"Shush~, Natsu. We'll be alright. We'll escape. Don't worry. Shush~. It'll be fine. Just you, wait." He cooed to the others ears, as he thankfully felt the hard tremors, slow down. But, the tears still fell.
"N.... N-No, it w-won't, G-Gray!!!.... We... We're b-both gonna d-die!!!.... And I-I won't.... I-I won't e-ever see m-my fa-family, ever, again! Gray!!!" He wailed, harder.
Gray's attempt at calming the other, went completely down the drain, as the hard tremors, returned. Gray, had no clue how to calm him down.
If he didn't help, now, then he's afraid that Natsu would run out of oxygen, fast; they don't have much, left. But, Gray's also afraid that Natsu's close to hyperventilating. Gray, definitely, can't have that happening, on him.
That was, when a very embarrassing and strange, but helpful thought went through his mind.
And with some hesitation, Gray, had gently, but yet, firmly, held onto Natsu's soft chin; startling the younger, slightly.
His green eyes widen and his brain froze, as he tried to focus their current position; he felt lips against his own. Soft lips. He unknowingly hummed in delight, as those soft lips, slightly moved, against his.
And with some unknown courage, he returned it back. Startling the latter, however, Gray eagerly returned full force. What had felt like forever, they'd finally separated.
Green clashed with blue. Emotions swirling in them. Their foreheads were pressed, together, as their mouths were agape; gasping in, much, needed air.
"A-Are you okay, now?" Gray breathed out; his cold breath was only a few centimeters away, making Natsu blush, brightly.
"Y-yeah, I-I'm o-okay." He stuttered. But he was greatly confused as to why the older male did such an act, and so suddenly, too.
Not that he was complaining, though. He realized. Seeing his confusion, Gray explained his unexpected action's.
"You were hyperventilating," He said, hastily. "I couldn't just let you run out of air! I had to think of something, and fast!" He finished, defensibly.
Hearing his reasoning, he couldn't help but to be grateful, "Thank you, Gray." Natsu, said genuinely. A warm, loving and thankful smile was on his face; still blushing, brightly.
Gray, hearing this, felt great relief.
But, upon seeing Natsu's expression, however, made him blush brightly, too. Their previous actions made him feel oddly warm inside; not that the heat around them was making that any easy.
And suddenly, he only then remember their, current situation. How the hell could he forget that!?
Gray, immediately, sprang up from his previous position on the floor. Letting go of Natsu, along the way. The sudden movement, however, had Natsu startled; to get up, as well.
"Gray!?" He questioned, worried.
"The fire! The door! Natsu, we're still trapped! How could we forget about that!?" He panicked. He instantly, slammed into the door; returning to his previous actions of trying to break it down.
Natsu seeing this, felt tears come up from his eyes, again. No. He wouldn't cry, anymore. He needed to get out! Now! He wanted to see his family, again!
He prayed that they, and his family had managed to escape this living hell! He wouldn't, couldn't, live with himself, knowing that their dead. No! He wouldn't think like that.
The thought of his family made him turn towards Gray, he wondered if the older was thinking of his family, too. The thought of seeing his family, again, made him suddenly motivated.
He soon joined Gray, again, on trying to open the locked door. He slammed into it, grunting in great pain from the harsh impact. He wondered if Gray was feeling the same. He felt like his shoulder would break, any minute; from the many times he slammed it.
Turning his head around, he suddenly saw large windows; but immediately discarded it, as they were in the third floor. It isn't like they're gonna throw themselves out there. There's no way they'll make it. And as for the chairs, well, they weren't exactly strong enough to open a jammed door.
However, one plan did went through his mind. He's such an idiot! How could he not realize that!? He quickly ran towards the large windows and opened them; the smoke, instantly, escaped.
He, along with Gray, coughed as the air had finally and thankfully, cleared up. Gray, on the other hand, looked at him in compete and utter bafflement. Why the hell didn't he think of that!?
Shaking, his head in major failure; he quickly thanked Natsu, and got back to work. With Natsu, joining his side, once more.
They were so caught up into opening the door, they didn't hear noses coming from outside the door. That was, until they were nearer. They only then banged on the door, harder.
Trying to get help. Thankfully, for the two of them; the fire hasn't reached them, yet. Yet, is the key word, here.
"Help! P-Please! Get us out!" Natsu yelled, in anguish, as tears escaped him, again. He just wanted to see his family, again!
"GET US OUT, NOW! PLEASE!" Gray screamed, and he, too, cried. He could no longer hold onto the tears. He just wanted out, now!
And as if by some miracle, their prayers were answered by a familiar firemen breaking the door open with his foot. So powerful!, they thought.
The man looked to be about in his late forties.
He was buff and tall at 6ft and 5inches. And he surprisingly had crimson, red hair. A few scars were shown across his tan face, but it was mostly covered by a gas mask. The scar's were a large possibility from his current, dangerous job.
Large, squinty green eyes stared down at exactly at large, squinty green eyes and big droopy blue eyes.
"D-Dad!?" Natsu, had surprisingly shouted in confusion; but he quickly discarded the confusion, as he ran straight towards his father, who'd immediately brought him into his warm, strong arms.
His short body, only reached towards his father's chest, and he buried his tearful face at that spot. He forgot about their kiss, completely.

"N-Natsu!" Igneel, examined in relief. "My boy, my baby boy." He slightly shook at the thought of coming, too late. His arms tighten around his youngest; imaging the unthinkable.
When he had heard that this school was on fire, he immediately took the chance. All oh his children go here; of course, he'll come!
After, what felt like forever, he and his teammates, had reached the burning building, and managed to help out a lot; however, not all was saved.
They were some people who could no longer be helped. And then they were many, who were frozen in terror or was stuck in classrooms.
Luckily for all of them, the fire hadn't reached, yet. As for the smoke, well, they were many clever people to at least open the window's.
Anyway, when he had managed to help many, he'd ran deeper to find any left savers; only to instantly hear screaming, crying, and banging, coming from nearby.
Looking towards said area, he quickly found out what the problem was. The door didn't have a handle, so anyone inside, was unfortunately stuck.
When he did managed to open it; to his surprise and horror, he found his youngest son, Natsu, and his best friend, Gray, crying for help.
He, on the other hand, couldn't help but to instantly shudder; imagining himself being too late, or just not finding them, at all.
Meanwhile, while he was reminiscing, he found himself being hugged with another body. Looking down, Igneel had two young teens, crying, on him.
"Let's go, home." He said, finally, and gentle. "Come on." He pulled the two crying boy's closer and left the room, behind.

After, finally, leaving the school and heading towards an ambulance car. Igneel worried that they might have breathed in too much air, as he heard how they struggled to breath, slightly.
While they were being hooked up to a breathing machine, Gray, searched for his older sibling's. They were many students, teachers, firemen, and paramedics around the area.
Crying, yelling, and screaming were immensely heard. While, there was a great amount of bleeding, fainting, burning, and traumatized victims, wondering around.
He was still being, slightly, squashed under Igneel's large arm. Natsu, on the other hand, was being completely squashed with the breathing mask on his face.
Mentioned boy, however, didn't seem to mind the heavy weight on him; he actually looked constant, being under and protected from his dad.
The sight of him, brought an instant smile onto Gray's face. He was just very happy to know that nothing, too, bad had happened to him. To them. And hopeful to their sibling's, too.
The mention of family, instantly, made him look for his sibling's, again. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Natsu doing the same.
A flash of silver and black hair had, quickly, crossed his vision, before he was suddenly being ripped apart from Igneel's arm; startling the man and son, duo, to look his way and to see Gray being hugged, tightly, in his sibling's arm's.
"Idiot! You had us worried! What took you so long!?" His silver haired older brother, Lyon, said worriedly and frightened. Hugging his brother, tightly, towards him.
"Gray! I'm so glad you're alive! Are you're okay?" His elder sister, Ultear, cried and questioned in worry. Her strong grip, tightened, around him.
However, before he could reply to them, he was suddenly interrupted by a surprised, cry. Making the sibling's jump; startled, and turn towards the direction the sudden nose had come from.
Looking over, they all sweat-dropped and laughed at the sight of their pink haired friend being tackled to the ground by all of his seven sibling's.
Even their father, had decided to join in their "little" group hug! They felt pity for the poor, squashed, rosette.

Natsu, who was still being buried under his father's arm, suddenly felt movement across from him. Looking over, he saw Gray suddenly being hugged, tightly, in his sibling's arm's.
He, immediately, sighted in relief. He was happy for Gray. None of them were catch up in the fire. He hoped that none of his were, though.
He then, suddenly, felt his father's arm, be removed from his shoulder. He only had a split second to see his dad smiling down at him, before he felt a hard collation from his side.
With a cry of alarm, he immediately, felt the solid ground underneath him.
He grunted in pain, and looked up from his dizzy vision; he waited for a second for it to clear up, and when it did, he saw all of his sibling's on top of him.
Even his dad, had joined! How he was breathing, normally, underneath so much weight? Well, being a Dragneel, you surely had to accept the many, many impossibilities.
From oldest to youngest, there was Zeref, Laxus and Erik, all at the age of 18. Then there was Gajeel, Sting and Rogue, at 17. Then there was him, at 15. And lastly, there was their only sister, Wendy, at 14. Yeah. There's many boy's. It was a wonder on how she hadn't lost her mind, yet.
Snapping back to reality, he noticed that his dad had left to return to his job, sometime, and his siblings were all crying. Even the tough and stoic ones. "G-guys?" He questioned them, in worry and alarm.
"W-we-we're s-so g-glad t-that yo-you're o-okay!!!" Wendy wailed. The other's all, eagerly, nodded in union. That's a first, he mused; freaked out.
But, he soon felt tears come to his eyes, as well. His family is all alright! Just the thought of not seeing them, again; made him burst into fat tear's.
He guessed, that the other's felt the same way. That explained why they weren't holding back onto the tear's.

After a while, of many waterworks and massive, tight hugs; they finally settled down. Only, after, everyone bunched Natsu in the head or arm for being so reckless; after he explained his whole situation. And with Gray...
As for the others, well, they all had, somehow, managed to escape the fire and smoke, before it could reach them; the only one who was almost effected was Natsu, himself. That's the whole reason they were all crying, in relief when they saw him, all right.
But that, immediately, changed when they'd heard the reason behind how Natsu's even here. It turned out, their youngest brother was saved by his best friend, Gray. The seven siblings, as in union; turned swiftly around to Gray and his siblings; who was watching them.
Shock and bafflement were on Lyon's and Ultear's face from the news. Though that had, quickly, changed. While, a bright blush was on Gray's.
Again, turning around, the Dragneel's all saw Natsu; their oblivious baby brother, mirroring his expression.
Each sibling's, of the two; all smirked, evilly. Oh, they are all so gonna have some fun with this new discovery.
As if sensing this, Gray and Natsu, had only a split second to see their sibling's evil smirk's, before they were both, suddenly, pushed, together. In more, ways then one.
Their eyes widen in shock when they felt their lips, collide. Their bright blushes, immediately, grew more. It only took them a full moment, to fully accept their sudden position's.
However, they also felt the strong hold of hand's on them; from possibly escaping. But, that had never, once, crossed their mind's. The shock had, slowly, dispelled, before they leaned into each other.
Natsu, being shorter, wrapped his lean arm's around the taller male. While, Gray, wrapped his strong arm's around the, shockingly new, but nicely discovery; feminine waist.
They were completely oblivious to their surroundings, as they both, passionately, devoured, one another. They youngest let out a small moan, as he let the oldest dominate the kiss.
Chuckles and squeaks were heard; startling the the two, to realize that their sibling's were still watching them. How could they forget that!? That's so goddamn, embarrassing!!!
Immediately, they had let go of one another. Blushing and stuttering, greatly. Their face's would put their friend, Erza's, hair to shame. But, before any of them could say anything, a loud voice was heard.
"PLEASE EVACUATE THE VICINITY! I REPEAT! PLEASE EVACUATE THE VICINITY! ALL STUDENT'S MAY GO HOME!" A fireman, Igneel!, shouted in a speaker.
Hearing this, student's who weren't effected by the fire and (or) smoke, left home. While, the one's who did, stayed in a ambulance truck. Being sent to the nearest hospital. It was still packed with people, regardless.
Meanwhile, the group hearing this, decided to go home. Each group went their own separate ways. Natsu and Gray, on the other hand, stopped shortly. The other's seeing this, let them be. It was obviously private.
"Hey, Gray?" Natsu, started. He looked towards Gray, shyly; who was looking down at him, curiously. Their blushes were still apparent, but had decreased, a bit.
"Hmm?" He hummed, in question.
"T-thanks, for back t-there," Natsu began, and stuttered. "If it wasn't for you, I-I wouldn't be h-here." He said, finally. Confused by what the younger boy meant, Gray then remembered their kiss; back in the suffocating classroom.
Relief, instantly, settled over him. He was so happy to think of that idea in the neck of time. He couldn't imagine life without the bouncy ball of energy.
The younger, male, just makes life much, more bearable. It would have broken him and many, many more people if he would've to died in that fire. If they were to die in that fire.
Snapping back to reality, Gray softly replied with, "It's all right, Natsu. I'm pretty much sure you would've done the same for me. And I would've done it, a million more times, if it counts. I don't... I-I can't lose you, Natsu. Life wouldn't be the same without you. I... I-I... I love you, Natsu." He finished, with confessing his utter love and pulling the younger boy closer to him, by the slim waist.
Mentioned person, however, was staring at him with utter shock. That soon, changed into love and affection. "I... I love you, too, Gray." He returned the tight, hug. He buried his face onto the taller boy's chest, while Gray buried his face onto the younger fluffy pink hair.
They stood there, hugging each other, for a few minutes, before they let go.
They looked into each other's eye's, lovingly, before they lean into a kiss. The kiss wasn't lustful or passionate, it was just pure love. Electricity went through them. After a minute or two, they both separated from the kiss.
"I'll see you, tomorrow, okay?" Gray stated, more then questioned the younger; lovingly, as he winked down at him.
"Of course! See you, then, Gray~!" Natsu returned the wink, before he suddenly gave Gray a quick kiss in the lips. He giggled cutely at the startled look that appeared on his lovers face. Lover... Hmm... That sounds nice.
"Natsu." Gray grounded, jokingly, though. Natsu, noticing this, laughed, before he, pulled away from the hug and, slightly, turned away. "See you, later, Ice Queen~!" And with that, he walked away.
A loud 'Hey!' was heard, before Natsu then heard a 'See you, later, Flame Princess!' A loud laugh escaped him at the reference from their favorite show 'Adventure Time'.
They both walked away from each other with wide and sincere smiles on their faces. After a few more steps, they both, suddenly, found their sibling's waiting for them, with wide goofy smiles or smirks on their faces.
Great. It's gonna be a LONG time for them to drop it. Isn't it? With a depressed and annoyed sigh, they both continued on their long streak home, with their annoying sibling's bothering them.
But, they were also thinking about each other. Small blushes and smiles appeared on their faces. Their siblings seeing this, laughed or teased, harder. Ugh.
