 I made the disintegrating symbol by cutting an African tribal symbol out of a picture, overlaying a dirt texture on it, adding a shadow for body, duplicating the layer, liquefying the duplicate, masking the duplicate, and then using particle brushes to bring out and hide what I wanted. I also used some effects on the girl to make the picture more high quality and bring out more of the gold color.
