GIMP ➺ basic ➺ text

Hyi!

This is a simple tutorial to help you learn how to make text, how to put something from one document to another document and there are options when you right-click the document in GIMP.

These are a few tools you will need / handy in GIMP. This is a series on this account in the tutorial book. =)

This tutorial has been made possible by Skareh.

We'll start with the tutorial, grab gimp (or read it first) and follow this tutorial!

Go to file in the menu, then create and then to logos.

Click "Chrome."

Type as text HALLO.

Leave the font size to 100 and click font.

Choose a font (I chose Cinzel Decorative, you can download it for free on dafont.com).

Leave the background color on that color as it already is (with me d3d3d3).

Click OK.

Click layers and see what layers are, click on them all at once. (You'll see what each layer does)

You can now leave it and save it or you can get it to a graphic. What I'm explaining for if you want to get it to another graphic.

Open your document with the graphic. Then go back to the "HALLO" logo.

Click the eye on the background so it goes out.

Put your back on the hello low. (Top layer, the layer is selected if it is blue)

Use your right mouse button and then click to merge visible layers (of course you can change something before doing this step)

Enlarge where necessary, and click OK.

Click on the document that is hello. Use the right mouse button, then click edit and then cut. The layer must now be gone.

Return to the document where your graphic is and click with your right mouse button, click edit again, then slide your mouse over paste as click on the new layer.

Move it to your liking and make everything as you want and ready!

If you have any questions please feel free to reply in the comments or pm, AnilesGraphs and Skareh!
