She smiled "congrats Manvi you are one month pregnant... tumhe pata kaise nahi chala?" doctor asked. 

Manvi was shocked to hear it.  She remembers, how many times she felt dizzy during the pre-boards exams preparation. 

She held the reports and started walking out. She was lost in thoughts.. "pregnant...nahi ye abhi nahi hona tha pehle se hi exams ki tension hai.."

She went back home. Gautami and Vineet were waiting for her. Vineet asked "kya kaha doctor ne?"

Manvi was lost in her own thoughts. She did not hear him, she instead went inside the room. She just smiled and kept her hand in her belly.

She then thought about the studies and exams, this worried her how she is going to manage everything. It is a big responsibility, and the journey now will not be an easy task. She just can't let down Vineet by failing in exams again.

Vineet entered inside the room and asked "manvi tumse kuch pucha hai maine.."

She turned and looked at him nervously. "Ji..."

"Kya kaha doctor ne all okay?" he asked.

She nodded with a smile "ji.."

He felt something she was trying to hide, as her smile was not natural. She was hiding something behind it. He approached closer to her and asked "sach batao.. Kya hua?"

She took a deep breath, this is something she can't hide from him. It has to be shared with him, she closed her eyes and said "wo.. Mai.."

She sighed as she was not getting courage to reveal it.

"Batao bhi.." he asked curiously.

His phone rang, he looked and it was from the office. He ended it but it ranged again. He picked up the call and said "busy hun abhi main.."

Naina replied from other side "sir please it is really urgent"

Vineet glanced at Manvi for a while and then went to attend the call.

She decided to tell him after the board exams as for now exams are more important because she can't see him requesting someone just for her. He came back after attending the call and again questioned her.

She replied "ji.. Board exams aane waale hai toh bas uski tension ki wajah se thodi tabiyat bigad gyi.."

"Tumne toh mujhe dara hi diya tha.. Don't worry tum acha hi karogi" he said with a smile.

She smiled back.

The next day, there was a small get- together at home. High society ladies attended it, Mrs. Gupta said "Gautami suna hai tumhari bahu school jati hai?"

"Oh aunty.. Wo jitna bhi koshish karle usse uski aukat nahi badlegi and she can't match our level" Mrs. Gupta's daughter in law taunted.

"Mrs Gupta..aapko yahan meri bahu ki insult ke liye nahi bulaya gaya hai.. Just leave from here.." Gautami said angrily.

Mrs Gupta and his daughter in law left. Gautami saw Manvi, she went to her and held her hand "bas.. Tum ye kardo Manvi... "

Manvi nodded with a smile.. It was not only about Vineet but Gautami too.

She started studying as much as she could neglecting her health. The month passed quickly and it was the time of the exams.

She was combing her hair, and she started feeling dizzy. She was about to fall but Vineet held her on time "Manvi.." he took her name in concern.

He took her to the bed and made her sit. He gave her a glass of water to drink. He questioned "are you okay?? Ye tumhe chakkar kyun aa jaata hai?"

"Ji main thik hun.. Padhai ki wajah se kha nhi paa rahi hun na thik se.." she replied.

He scolded her "come on Manvi.. Health is also important"

"Main thik hun.. Acha ab chalti hun late ho jayega exam ke liye" she said while standing up.

She walked and left the room before he could interrogate further. He sighed and went to the office. 

Finally, the board exams were over, it was a farewell party for the school. Tara wanted Manvi to attend it but she denied.

"Come on Manvi.. Aapke bina maza kaise aayega?? Please aana na.." Tara said.

She denied.. "Nahi tara main nahi aa sakti"

Vineet came to pick her up for the last day of exams. Tara thought of something and went to Vineet..

"Hey.. main Manvi ki dost.. Aap please unse kahiye na wo farewell party mein aaye" he requested her.

Vineet smiled "haan wo aayegi.."

Manvi gave him a look, she denied but he insisted that she should go.

"Tum aa rahi ho Manvi.. That's it.." Tara said and left.

Vineet and Manvi left for home. Manvi said "mujhe nahi jaana tha na.."

"Are kyun nahi jaana tha? Phir ye mauka nahi milega tumhe... enjoy it" Vineet exclaimed.

Farewell Night

Manvi got ready to leave for the party, Vineet said "suno.. Ladko se door rehna.. Flirt bahut karte hai"

She smiled at his jealousy.. "Bilkul.."

"Waise aaj bahut hi zyada beautiful lag rahi ho.." he said pulling her closer. She blushed hearing it.

She moved away and hit the stool. The vase fell and broke, she made faces and hold her ear looking at Vineet "sorry"

He just sighed.. "Jao.."

Manvi went to the Venue, she entered inside. The music was loud, and the students were enjoying themselves. Tara saw her and pulled her. She asked her to dance, but Manvi denied.

"Come on Manvi.. Please.." everyone insists.

Manvi agreed and danced to a song. A boy came to her with a juice "lejiye.."

Manvi took it, she found it weird.

"Juice hi hai.." he said.

She drank it, but then realised it was alcohol. She made a mistake taking it as this could harm her pregnancy. In the process of enjoying her life, she forgot about the baby. She just left the party mid-way making an excuse.

She went straight to the hospital and met the doctor. Doctor advised her "Manvi.. Tumhe careful rehna chahiye tha.. Aur tum apna bilkul khayal nahi rakh rahi ho.. Ye asar bachche pe padega"

"Sorry doctor.. Main dhyan rakhungi" Manvi assured her.

"Main tumhari medicines change kar rahi hun time pe leti rehna tumne pehle hi itni miss ki hai.." Doctor said to give her a prescription.

Manvi agreed and went home.

By the time she reached Vineet and Gautami had slept. She changed and kept her hand on her belly. She said.. "Sorry.. But ab main sirf tumhara khayal karungi aur kuch nahi"

She saw a file on the table, she opened it and was shocked to see the college form. She decided not to attend college as she doesn't want to lose bigger happiness. Because becoming a mother are every girl's dream and a blessing.

As time passed by, it was the time of the result. Gautami asked Vineet to check the result. Vineet nodded "kar raha hun maa.."

He checked the result, Manvi closed her eyes. She opened her eyes and saw Gautami and Vineet staring at her silently making her more fearful.

"Aap dono aise kyun dekh rahe hai mujhe?" she asked.

Manvi sighed.. "Mujhe pata tha nahi hua hoga.."

"Maria.. Mithai lao hamari bahu paas hi nhi hui distinction bhi laayi hai" Gautami said cheerfully.

Manvi was left with an open mouth. "Sachi?"

"Haan.." Gautami kissed her forehead.

"Ek sidi toh paar karli tumne.. Ab dusri karni hai.." Vineet informed.

"Haan.. Vineet college from bharde.." Gautami ordered.

"Nahi.. mujhe college nahi jaana hai" she gave an instant reply.

"Please Manvi.. Phirse tumhara ye drama shuru mat karo.. Pehle school na jaane ke bahane ab college ke.." he said meaningfully.

"Nahi Vineet.. School ho gaya thik hai college nahi jaungi main '' she said adamantly.

"Ye kya zid kar rahi ho?" Vineet asked doubtfully.

Manvi replied "please Vineet.. Force mat kijiye mujhe"

Gautami said "Vineet sham ko ek choti si party rakh lete hai.. Phir usse baat karna.."

Vineet agreed...

Manvi was sitting on the bed holding a pillow. Vineet came in and opened the wardrobe, he took out the dress for her,

She asked "aap meri dress kyun nikal rahe hai?"

"Sham ko party hai.. Isliye" he replied.

"Kisliye?" she asked bewildered.

"Bas yuhi zyada sawal mat karo ready ho jao.." he gave order.

She nodded.. "But main college nahi jaungi.." she said like a child.

"Get ready.." he said in an irritated tone.

She frowned...

She thought "mujhe aaj unhe sach bata dena chahiye.. Kyun main college ke liye mana kar rahi hun.. But himmat nahi ho rahi hai.. Haan likh hi deti hun inhe"

She took the paper and wrote a message for him. Gautami came in and said "beta ready ho jao.."

Manvi agreed.. "Maa.. ye aap Vineet ko de dijiyega.."

Gautami asked, "ye kya hai?"

"Aap unhe de dena.. Please" Manvi insisted.

Gautami agreed and moved out taking the letter.. Manvi was happy today, she was just waiting to see his reaction after he read the letter.
